LIVE

I need a book hangover recovery manual for every time I finish a series

I can’t handle all this grief by myself

“We were not made to please princes.”

To that one person who left a bunch of tags on my Morozova family portrait detailing an AU where Sasha and Ulla grew up as chaotic siblings? Thank you for inspiring me to draw these two again

But seriously the “what if” scenarios of these two live in my head rent free. Would Sasha be where he is now if he had a sea witch to rely on? Would Ulla, if she had a darkling to vanquish her enemies? Would these two lonely souls suffer as much if they had an equally powerful, badass sibling watching their backs?

Man, I miss Ulla. Bring her back, Leigh

“And you might make me a monster.”

Evil!Alina when?? Honestly, the way I’ve been hunting for a good corruption arc all my life and been left wanting

Behold, a villainous Alina who lost everything in the pursuit of power, who has nothing left of those she loved save for the trophies upon her hand…

I initially used blue because it was cold and matched her blue summoning class, but the red was such a mood that I had to try it at least.

Loosely inspired by Ruin and Rising! That book is both my most loved and most hated grisha trilogy book, because it has my favorite moments AND my least favorite moments in the whole series. Certainly doesn’t help that some scenes hit ya like a truck

The Grishaverse: Countries

Ravka: Home of the Second Army, a military force of Grisha soldiers sworn to protect Ravka. Exhausted by centuries of war with Fjerda to the north, and the Shu Han to the south, Ravka is itself divided by the Unsea (or the Shadow Fold) which has left much of the country vulnerable and without access to its port cities.
Shu Han: Sharing its northern border with Ravka, the two countries have been at war for centuries. Shu Han mercenaries often travel into Ravka to capture and perform experiments on Grisha, seeking the source of Grisha power.
Novyi Zem: A relatively young country comprised mostly of farmland, an expanding frontier, and bustling coastal cities. Largely separated from global conflict by the expanse of the True Sea, Novyi Zem has prospered and is popular among those seeking opportunity and anonymity—including Grisha. Also, the orange flowers (alemanth or waysu) are used in the manufacture of the stimulant jurda, and it’s one of Novyi Zem’s chief exports.
Wandering Isle:
A lush, green country where Grisha blood is prized as a medical cure-all. - for impotence, wasting plague you name it.
Kerch: A small island nation with tremendous economic power. The hub of all international trade and a country rich in art and culture, but also home to a teeming criminal underworld centred in the capital city of Ketterdam. Despite slavery being illegal in Kerch, Grisha and others are often bound to wealthy merchants as indentured servants under terms that amount to slavery.
Fjerda: An icy northern country separated from Ravka by thick permafrost. Fjerdan witch hunters called drüskelle capture and burn Grisha as witches.

don’t mind me just thinking about jesper winking and wylan in the show and wylan blushing like a cute little murder baby

sorry I can’t talk right now I’m too busy vividly imagining this scene being played by a bloodied-lip, feral-looking Jack Wolfe.

nonbinary-dinosaur:

Jack Wolfe looks like he could rob a bank, kill 20 men, proceed to blow up a bridge, and then get away with it because no one would ever suspect him

That’s exactly how I pictured Wylan how did they even

the showrunners figured out dark magic and used it to pull wylan straight out from the books and thought we wouldn’t notice BUT I KNOW EVERYTHING.

What are the chances of there being a third book in the Six of Crows series?

What are the chances of the main conflict in that book being an antagonist with an intellectual mind that rivals Kaz Brekker’s?

What are the chances of that antagonist being the forgotten and overlooked child of Jan and Alys Van Eck who inherited his father’s cunning skills and manipulative habits and massive ambition? Who, since a child, has always strived to become more? Who hates their ditzy mother and common step-father and their plain boring peasant farm life? Who, as soon as reaching the tender age of 17, immediately set out to Ketterdam to build a reputation for themselves only to discover more than they ever hoped to achieve?

What are the chances of that child, driven by revenge and greed, seeking to ruin the lives of the people who ruined their father’s and consequently theirs?

What are the chances of them starting with their undeserving half-brother?

Low, but never zero.
