We all had quite the weekend! A large group of friends shared a journey to the Tennessee Ren Faire, and then met up at a newly opened Tolkien-themed pub; The Green Dragon Public House. A perfect oppurtunity to snap some pics!

Inktober day 9: Pressure. I looove @liridi ’s rendition of Faramir and Boromir, so I mimicked her design for this image of the Gondor lads.
Day 10: Pick. Eärendil and Elwing, who earned the right to choose whether to belong to the race of Elves or Men.
Day 11: Sour. Melkor poisoning the song of the Ainur.
Day 12: Stuck. Merry and Pip and their unfortunate run-in with Old Man Willow.
Frodo Baggins! The hobbits take their visual cues from Taiwanese aborigine peoples (mostly the Puyuma), and the Javanese.
I watched the movies before I ever read the books; Elijah Wood’s young Frodo is one of the things that sticks with me in all incarnations :P

Middle-earth March - Day 13
It’s Wednesday, the Weekend is in sight! To clebrate the middle of the week, we made some tiny Hobbit themed muffins. Who wants some? What we really love about the Shire and the Hobbits is the coziness of their life there. Everything goes by a bit slower, it seems. Things are done one by one and cherished and acknowledged consciously. Maybe sometimes, we could be more Hobbitlike and just be happy about some freshly baked cupcakes instead of feeling stressed by all the messages on our phones or the appointments in our calendars…

Middle-earth March - Day 9
Who is creeping around in the darkness at Weathertop, scaring our friends? It’s the evil Nazgûls, wanting to capture Frodo and regain the Ring for their Master. But don’t fret, help is on its way! Can you spot Strider, coming to rescue the Hobbits? Today’s topic for Middle-earth March suggested by @tolkientribe is “Weathertop, watching out…” So we got a little creative with our old #gamesworkshoplotrequipment!

Middle-earth March - Day 8
If you happen to have several @wetaworkshop Hobbit holes, you’d be a fool not to set up a Hobbit landscape for Middle-earth March! We have some more, but we figured we didn’t want to overload the picture. Now we want to travel to Middle-earth and visit the Shire, spend some time there and live among the most peaceful beings, eating lots of cake, drinking good ale and just being merry!

Middle-earth March - Day 4
Well well, it’s Monday again! But alas, instead of being all grumpy and gloomy, let’s have a cookie and deal with the world like a Hobbit: leisurely and with lots of good things to eat – preferably sweets! So, take a deep breath and a cookie and do not let the Monday disturb your good mood. We just hope that the “Chocolate Hobbits” shown in our picture do not contain real Hobbits!!

Our friends over at @Tolkientribe have a list of suggestions for Middle-earth March posts. Today‘s topic is Hobbiton - an ode to the Shire. So we took one of our Hobbit editions and set out to think about what an evening in the Shire must feel like. We figured, probably the Hobbits are returning home from the fields, a walk in the woods or visiting the neighbours.
