There was a time when I felt that butterflies were not real
How were they so colorful?
How did they float and flutter after being transformed from something so ugly
Ugly like the mayonnaise which was left open in the heat
Ugly like ungratefulness after all God’s blessings
There was a time when butterflies gave me hope
Their beauty and velvet skin tailor made
There was time

Photo by Ade Santora on flickrIt’s funny how life and timing play out when it comes to your dreams. Take me for instance, I wanted to be a ballerina and tell stories through the fluidity of my movements, without the need of words, to convey meaning with my body, however, we didn’t have the money growing up, so I choreographed my own. I am naturally an extrovert. I thrive around people, being social, being active, interacting and engaging with my surroundings and all that surrounds me!
I love to host, I love to bring people out of their shells, I love to be the first one on the dance floor, sharing my creativity and inspiring others to do the same. I love to hear what other people are passionate about –…

Mark Foster on Imagination: “i think the quality that makes us distinctly human is our ability to live in duality. we comprehend the present external world we’re in, while having an internal dialogue about what it all means. we can be our own best friends. we can be our own mortal enemy. we can ski the alps in the peak of summer from under our bed covers at night. we can sail the high seas with Yeats and pick his brain about the afterlife in the holy city of Byzantium. we can fall in love with a stranger that passes us on the street; forming a complete history and future with a person we’ve never even spoken to. our internal life is a universe, worthy to be explored and engaged. a dangerous place full of desires, undiscovered and unfulfilled. in our imagination we can escape our reality and create a new one.”
Once upon a time two young ladies encountered their Mum’s best friend and discovered that she drew a personal character called The V.S.G. (Very Smaul Gitt).
One day out of the blue, I received a charming interpretation of the V.S.G. as made by the eldest!
A little while later, I sent an illustration back to say thanks.
This resulted in another heartfelt request, with illustrations from both.
This year I finally got around to making it so!
Now to send them… :D
