Listen I’m calling it now based on the trailers I’ve seen, but Doctor Strange is going to be a total girl dad and I appreciate that Marvel’s chosen him to be the ‘Unofficial’ Dad to all these young hero’s.
So clearly MOM has a lot of nods towards things we saw in What If…?
ME BEING ME ZOOMED IN ALL THE SHATTERED GLASS PIECES AND I THINK I SEE A GLIMPSE OF CAP’S SHIELD BUT LIKE I THINK IT IS NOT BECAUSE IT COULD PEGGY AS CAP CARTER??

It took me a second viewing , but I think I figured it out: it’s not just that the tone is different, but that it almost feels like two movies meshed together. One is a crazy adventure on a faraway planet; the other is a story of family drama and a people’s survival during apocalyptic events. Neither is bad, but the contrast creates a kind of dissonance that was not in the previous Thor movies. I would have preferred one lighthearted movie about Thor & co. being stranded on a wacky planet, and another, more serious movie where he and his allies work to fight Hela and save the people of Asgard.
