The protagonist, Yamashiro Koyomi, had graduated university and undertook the teacher employment exam in order to become a high school teacher, her dream job. However, her attempts had constantly ended up in failure.
“Maybe I’m not fit to be a teacher?” As the protagonist thought this and was about to give up, she had finally received a report indicating that she had passed.
Her heart leapt at the thought of her new life as a teacher. The school that had employed her is located in the 48th prefecture of Japan known as the Aima Prefecture, and is a training school designed to educate inexperienced UMA so that they can become fully-fledged UMA.
In fact, Koyomi had accidentally undertaken the “animal trainer” employment exam instead of the “teacher” exam!
“This is impossible for me,” said Koyomi, as she was about to decline her offer of employment. In response to this, the school’s principal promised, “if you can can work admirably for us for one year, I’ll put in a good word for you to other high schools.”
Having no experience whatsoever in the art of training, will Koyomi be able to train an UMA?
Also, will she be able to assist in the growth of an inexperienced UMA into an excellent one?
For the sake of being able to transfer to a different high school- though filled with her doubts- Koyomi’s year-long life as a homeroom teacher-cum-“animal trainer” will begin!
This is a story set in a certain fictional world, in a certain fictional country, in a certain fictional town…
It all happened on August 1st. The protagonist woke up one morning to discover that she had lost all memory of anything before August 1st. She had no idea who she was, what life she had lead and her relationship with those around her. It was then when a young man who called himself a “spirit” appeared before her.
Him and the protagonist headed for her place of work, “Meido no Hitsuji (Sheep of the Other World).” She proceeds to work whilst covering up the fact that she’s an amnesiac.
A few days later… Plans of the Meido no Hitsuji’s upcoming “concept event” gets around. Apparently, the particulars of this event were proposed by the protagonist herself before her memory loss. With no recollection of the event plans, and no knowledge of the details, the protagonist gets started on helping out her colleagues with the preparations…

In Amnesia World, the theme is “Parallel Worlds”. You’re able to choose different “worlds” to play in after the prologue: the “School World”, in which you’re a normal high school girl, the “Music World”, in which you work for a music company, and the “Criminal World”, in which you work at a detective agency. Alternatively you can stay in the “Normal World”, which is set in the “original” Amnesia world. Each world has a different atmosphere and gameplay.
The late 1500s. An innocent princess, who yearns for love, runs down the streets of her castle town.
Younger sister of Oda Nobunaga, ruler of the Owari Province, the name of this princess is Ichi. However, despite the kindness that Ichi shows to everyone with no prejudice, there is a name that the townspeople have given the Oda family in secret ——

All the descendants of the Oda family are born with captivating black hair and blue eyes, and the townspeople fear this almost inhuman beauty that the family share.
However, there is a secret about this town that even the leader of this ‘bewitched’ family, Nobunaga, does not know — that the Sachimitama (幸魂 lit. Bead of Luck), a family heirloom passed down to him from his mother at a young age, has been lost.
Furthermore, hidden is the existence of the Oboro (朧): two mystical foxes that speak the language of humans, Kuro and Gyoku.
Even so, this is a time of anarchy. Ichi becomes inevitably caught up in the battles that occur as those from all over Japan attempt to unify the country with their own two hands ——
When she was 7 years old, what Sorano Fuu (the protagonist) saw in her living room were the lifeless bodies of her beloved parents, who had died at the hands of an unknown culprit.
Taken in by a group of people known as “Tenshi”, Fuu asks them why her parents were killed. One of the Tenshi said to the young Fuu, “Your parents were “Dealers”, who are people that sell “Hoshi”. That is why they were killed.“
Her parents were criminal vendors of the illegal-to-sell, taboo Hoshi on a large scale. This truth greatly troubled Fuu, and so she made a vow - to atone for her deceased parents’ crimes.
Now, the 20-year-old Fuu is a Tenshi who protects Akatsuki, a town in Cloud.
There was something she saw through the many missions she completed with her colleagues. That "something” is their sad pasts, all of which revolve around Hoshi.
They are still bound by the past; will they be able to break free of the curse of their pasts?
In the near future, in a certain city. With summer break just around the corner the protagonist Hiyori, enjoys a peaceful life as a 2nd-year high school student. But one day as she and her childhood friend are heading home after school a mysterious figure suddenly appears before them and they are taken away to a strange world where two moons exist.
She notices nine other people who have been put in the same situation. While they are trying to figure out what is going on a masked man begins to speak.
“Welcome to another world, Arcadia!” “In this world, as long as you perform our ‘drama’, all of your wishes will be granted!”

That’s what everybody thought… However, problems also gradually arose in the real world. Finally not being able to endure this situation, they all use Heishi and Itsuki’s abilities to gather together.
In the past, there was a goddess whom extended a helping hand to a world that was about to perish.
That goddess, along with the four knights who served her, healed the ruined land using “Grace”, a power that rejuvenates worn down life forces, and saved the world.
Ever since then, because the goddess’ consciousness went into a slumber, she was to be succeeded by someone who will become a representation of her divine spirit, known as a “Reine”, and four human knights that were chosen by the world. As the world continued to enjoy the goddess’ favour, it continued to develop and advance.
However, at a certain point, even after coming into the world for generations, a Reine was not born. As a result, the supplies of Grace stagnated, and the world was once again threatened to be consumed by darkness.
But finally, the Reine of the next era, “Violette” was born. Adhering to the customs, she selected four men to become the queen’s knights. However, the hearts of those men rejected to bond with the Reine, due to the Reine’s long absence.
In order to supply the world with Grace, the co-operation of the knights is essential.
To obtain the trust and loyalty of the knights, Violette begins to take action…
The mysterious handsome men who appeared in front of Hibari, the only daughter of distinguished Toujou family, were the groom candidates who had been sent by her natural enemy, her grandfather.
Alerted by her intuition Hibari realized that there must be something more behind this. Why now? And anyway, who are these guys in the first place? Though she showed a firmly defiant stance toward this obviously suspicious situation, her grandfathers decision was absolute. While still surprised they were given a villa, and on the premise of a marriage proposal they started living together.
The four men try to pursue her in many ways, aiming for the groom position. Within the dazzling days of seduction, Hibari resolutely makes her decision.
The Taishou era didn’t end in 15 years, but went on for another 25.
In order to protect her waning family, a girl resolves to marry a man she doesn’t even know the name of. However, just before the marriage was to take place, the girl’s younger brother mysteriously committed suicide by self-immolation and was found holding an old book in his hands.
Appearing before the bewildered young girl was the “Imperial Library Intelligence Asset Management Bureau”- more commonly referred to as “Fukurou”.
According to these men, there exists “Maremono”, which are books that greatly affects its readers. On top of that, ever since the incident involving the girl’s younger brother, she unwittingly gains the ability to see “Auras” (the sentiments of the Maremono which manifest as bright lights and are usually invisible to humans). It was as though fate were trying to drag the young girl in its flames.
And then, even though apprehensive, the girl chooses to venture outside her bird cage.
Jealousy, hatred, scorn, compassion and love. What awaited the girl was the darkness of betrayal that had already begun to bewitchingly inlay the imperial capital.
Toyed by and swayed within that darkness, will the young girl finally reach the truth after her struggles, or…?

This game contains 2 parts: Bloody nightmare and Last Hope. The first part - Bloody nightmare is fully translated by https://twitter.com/bakemeatzand@orlandoblue. We got their permission to use the translation for the patch. We thought of releasing both parts when Last hope translation is done by the community, but as of now, nobody is interested in translating Last Hope. Thus, we decided to release Bloody Nightmare patch for hacked PlayStation vita as a demo patch.
Because it’s a demo patch, it will contain lots of errors, but I don’t think that there are enough people interested in this game to work on the patch. So we decided to release the patch as-is. The estimated date should be around Fall 2021. Please join our discord if you want to help with beta testing.

Hey SSL fans – we have an updated version of the patch ready for you all to download! You might be thinking why this is so soon after we released v1.0 – and good question!
It turns out, after we played through the release patch and did some checks, we found out that the translations were more than 5 months old! That was before we did any beta testing for the translations!
If you could imagine this realization was Okita, our excitement in getting the patch out was Toudou, and you lovely folks are the heroine we’re trying to pull by the hand to the great world of SSL, this kind of represents what it felt like for us
However, we got to work as soon as we knew what was up, and now have an update with the latest and greatest translations that we all worked hard on polishing. We hope you get the update and enjoy the rest of the game in the state it should be – the one you all deserve to see it in!
It’s finally here – on this White Day, the Hakuo Gakuen team is proud to present: an English patch of Hakuouki SSL!
We wouldn’t have thought that, over half a year ago, we would be able to bring the entirety of the game’s story into English and have it be playable on a PS Vita. But as we steadily made progress on translating the vast number of scripts in the game, eventually getting working versions of the patch on our own Vitas for testing, it became clearer and clearer to us that we were going to bring something exciting to the table for otome game fans everywhere.
There are countless many people we’re thankful for – translators, proofreaders, and beta testers alike – all without whom none of this would have been made possible. And, above all, for the fans who have always wondered what goes on in this happy-go-lucky world of Hakuouki SSL, and newcomers who are curious as to what is even going on here – this one’s for you!

NO. This is a COMMUNITY for hobbyists. It’s more or less a library of Japanese otome game scripts, where you can apply to get edit access to those scripts and you can learn Japanese while translating otome games! Share your passion with the other fellow otome fans!
Anyone can apply as a proofreader! As for translators, there will be a small test since there were some instances in the past where people used google translate to fill in the translation, and that’s… not good.
Q: Is this related to Otogetranslations in any ways?
It’s not. Otogetranslations was a personal translation group led by me (Reishiki). But after a certain event, I’ve lost my will to lead any fan translation group. I still have access to some Japanese otome game scripts, so I thought of making them available for other otome gamers, which led to the creation of Otogelib!
Now I have the scripts up on Google Sheets and act as a helper/technical supporter for other translators/translation group leaders. Please think of me solely as a member of this community.
Q: Why do you have so many projects? Why not just focus on one game?
Because this is not a translation group and all scripts/projects are not guaranteed to have a complete translation. They’re just… scripts. So it’s not like we’re translating 203201 games at once, don’t worry! Those projects are just scripts currently available for translating.
Q: Do you guys demand proof of purchase when releasing an English patch?
It depends on the project leader/group in question. Otogelib is a community consisting of multiple fan translation groups. Each of them have different policies about how to distribute their patch. Some might decide not to release a patch at all, just simple text translation. In short, you need to ask the project leader or specific group translating a game to know about their policy.
Q: How am I supposed to get these games? It’s not on PSN on PC! It’s expensive on Ebay!
You can still buy games digitally from the PSN. To get the games from Japan, you’ll need to setup a JP account. If you want instructions on how, you can ask.
You don’t have to get the games from Ebay or similar auction sites. It may be cheaper to get the games through proxy services like Zenmarket.jp. They allow you to vote on yahoo! Auctions in Japan. You can get games used for cheaper usually, but to balance out the higher overseas shipping fees, it’s best to buy in bulk. For more details, you can ask in the otogelib discord server.
Q: Could you please upload this game’s script? / I want to translate this game, could you help?
I wanted to do this initially, but there were several cases where people would ask me for technical help, and after I helped them, they dropped the project without prior notice. The effort to hack/extract the scripts was wasted. I won’t help to extract scripts from games anymore, unless you’re a translator who is serious about translating and committed to completing the project.
Please understand that translating these projects is demanding of time. Some scripts can have upwards of 100,000 lines of dialogue. It is expected these projects could take years to complete. This includes translating, proofreading, and beta testing.
Q: How do I claim an orphaned project and become a project leader?
You can apply to be a translator first. In the event you’ve translated 20-40% of the game, you have the opportunity to claim the right to be that project’s leader. You can then decide whether or not a patch would be made, who could be accepted to the team, and everything else related to the project.
Q: What do project leaders do?
Translating, managing, proofreading, recruiting, etc. Pretty much anything that can help to complete the project.
Q: Will you make patches for the Nintendo Switch?
The Nintendo Switch is a very new game console. At this time, to avoid any potential legal trouble and/or C&D letters from Nintendo, we will not touch the Nintendo Switch. Some of you may be okay with that, but this group isn’t. Perhaps when the console has aged we may look into potential patches.
However, if there are any Otomate games on the Switch that you want to create a text translation for, don’t hesitate to ask me directly on our Discord server Reishiki#4876. If I have access to the game scripts, then I can provide you access but I won’t help create a patch for the Switch. Text translations are totally fine though.
Q: These games have mobile versions as well. Isn’t it better to make patches for mobile versions instead of the vita?
We will make an android version if the specific project leader/group allows and/or asks me to. It’s not that we don’t want to make mobile patches, but there are a lot of problems when it comes to hacking/technical stuff for the android. An iOS version is out of the question for now since I don’t own any iOS devices to test out the patch. T_T

Based on the anime and manga series Vampire Knight, you play as the not-quite-Yuuki Cross protagonist striving to keep the peace between the Day and Night Class, whilst courting any of six dateable main characters. The original team for the project is back together! We have translated all the way up to Chapter 3 and we need some help completing the rest. We primarily need translators (very good in Japanese to fluent). Please join the Discord and speak to Dariya, who will guide you what to do.
There are the text dumps and the translations are in Google Sheets, located in the Google Drive. This allows for more organization and an easier time seeing each branch. Translators will have to take the files in the Google Sheets and translate them. In some cases they may spot mistakes and can use the text dumps to fix those mistakes. I started this group in October last year to gather translators to work on Collar x Malice Unlimited, I didn’t think it would grow this much from a small group of <5 people to a… group of >20 people. A lot happened but I’m glad to have a loving group of translators/members that always trust in me and help me get through all the drama and stress I have when maintaining this group.
I know I decided to stop after Diabolik Lovers Limited V Edition English patch accident, but I thought it’s a bit unfair for you, for us, that we wasted all our efforts of hacking/managing/translating stuff. So I think of a new project that can live only with community support. I’m not the leader of this project, but you guys—the community is. In that sense, I stopped, but the community didn’t.
So, what’s our new project?

And basically, you can translate any sentence/route you want without being afraid that someone already worked on it.

This project is the last thing I can do for the otome community. That is providing scripts for you guys to translate in the most comfortable way, or to practice reading/translating Japanese, to have a way to learn Japanese that you guys can enjoy, and help other otome lovers in the progress. :)
When a game is completed translating, I might make patches for people who bought the game. Otherwise, you can just play the game and read along. :)
