Sparks || Sam Wilson

Summary:when in trouble, you ended up by the front door of the Avengers compound; they gave you everything: safety, home, family and thanks to one specific person you found out what it’s like to love and be loved

Warnings: swearing, mild violence, mentions of Hydra’s experiments, Sam being a cutie

Word count:~3,2k

A/N: english is not my native language so I apologise for my mistakes and lack of vocabulary, I’m still learning

A/N: this fic needs to be proofread very badly but im too lazy to do that rn, so i’ll do it next time. And this low-key sucks so..

“hey guys? There’s a woman laying on the ground by the front door” Sam called out when he opened the door and saw you.

“what?” Steve quickly walked over to where Sam was standing, followed by Natasha and Bruce.

Sam opened the door wider so they all could see. “why are you standing here like an idiot, check up on her!” Nat threw her hands in the air frustrated. She was so done with them.

Sam crouched down to check your pulse “she’s alive but unconscious” he informed looking back at his friends.

“yeah no shit” Natasha sighed.

“come on, bring her to my lab, she needs help” Bruce said.

Sam nodded and carefully picked you up, gasping when he saw blood coming out of her leg. “she’s hurt”

“fuck, come on Sam, hurry up” Steve rushed him.

Sam really wanted to complain about Steve bossing him around but he knew that there’s no time for that.

“who’s that?” Tony raised his eyebrows when the three guys passed him with you in Sam’s arms.

“we don’t know yet. Sam found her unconscious by the front door and she’s hurt” Steve quickly explained and turned around to catch up with them before hearing Tony yell.

“I hope she’s not here to kill us!”

•••

“is she okay?” Sam walked into the medbay, where Bruce was doing some research with a nurse.

“I think so, we removed the bullet from her leg and took some blood so we could run some tests” Bruce shrugged.

Sam looked at you worriedly, he had a strange feeling inside of him, like a voice was telling him to not leave you alone. He frowned when he noticed something on your wrists and ankles.

“why is she tied up?”

“because we have no idea who she is. She might be dangerous”

“does she look dangerous to you?” he said angrily, glancing at your angelic face.

Bruce rolled his eyes. “she might not look dangerous but she could be. We’re not risking. Remember what happened with Ultron?”

Sam thought about it for a second and then nodded, deciding that he’s right but still, the voice in his head was telling him that you’re trustworthy.

Suddenly your eyes shot open as you tried to get up from the hospital bed but struggled with the restraints.

“where am I? who are you? how did I get here? why am I tied up?” you spilled your words, frantically looking around the room.

Bruce immediately stood up and carefully walked closer to you so he wouldn’t scare you more.

“you’re in our compound, we are the Avengers, we don’t know how you got here because we found you unconscious by our front door and you’re tied up because we don’t know who you are and we’re not taking any chances to get killed tonight” he explained calmly looking for any signs of threat in you.

“my name is…I..uhm” you stuttered, still looking around the room. Your eyes fell on Sam when he knitted his eyebrows together.

“you don’t remember your name?” he asked.

“she’s a bit in shock, it’s normal. Give her some time” the nurse intervened in the conversation.

“hey, you can trust us” Sam stepped closer and extended his arm to touch you but quickly changed his mind. He didn’t want to make you more uncomfortable. “I’m Sam”

“and I’m Bruce”

“aren’t you that big green guy?” you asked.

Bruce sighed and nodded. “yeah, the Hulk”

You looked at Sam and stayed quiet for a minute, trying to remember who are you and how did you end up here. Your memories were blurred and your head started to hurt from thinking too much.

“my name is y/n. The last thing I remember is that they injected me with something and I passed out” you gulped when an unclear flashback came into your mind.

You still kept your glance at Sam as he opened his mouth to ask. “who are they?”

You closed your eyes when a stinging pain crossed your head. “Hydra”

•••

“are you sure she’s not dangerous? She might be pretending just to get closer to us” Steve crossed his arms on his chest, leaning back on the chair.

“I don’t think so” Bucky shook his head. “she might have been an unsuccessful experiment and was thrown out”

“so how did she appear by our front door?” Tony asked.

“maybe she came here for help” Bucky shrugged his shoulders.

“Wanda, maybe you could read her mind?” Sam looked at the girl who was deep in her thoughts.

“I could try”

They all left the conference room to walk to the medbay where you were still tied up. Everyone stood outside the door waiting for Wanda to do what she needs to do. She concentrated really hard. “my leg hurts so fucking bad” she repeated. “how did I got here? I’m going to kill Brumlow for everything he has done for me”

The Avengers frowned glancing at each other while Wanda continued to voice over your thoughts. “I’m scared, they don’t trust me. They’re going to kill me. Those restraints are really itchy”

Without saying a word, Tony walked into the room and you jumped slightly frightened. “we will get you a bedroom so you could rest a little and tomorrow you are going to explain everything you remember” he instructed and when you nodded, Tony freed you.

You carefully stood up from the bed and winced in pain. “can you walk?”

“yeah, I think so” you answered taking a step forwards but when you almost fell on the ground, Sam quickly walked right next to you and hooked his arm with yours.

“here, let me help” he smiled sweetly at you and led you out of the room into another one not far from the medbay. “my room is right next to yours so if you need anything just knock at any time”

“thank you, Sam” you smiled at the guy you met just a few hours ago.

As soon as Sam closed the door and turned around, he met a lot of amused faces standing in front of him.

“what?” he raised his eyebrows, confused by his friends behaviour.

“don’t play dumb, Wilson” Natasha grinned.

“what did I do?”

“you definitely got a thing for her” Steve laughed at his cluelessness.

“what? no, I don’t. what…how…I mean I just met her a few hours ago” Sam stuttered nervously.

“we’re not saying you’re in love with her” Bucky laughed. “but I’ve never ever seen you so sincere and sweet”

“Barnes is right. You are extremely nice to her” Tony nodded.

“okay now I feel cornered up” Sam tried walking past them but got stopped by Steve.

“look, we’re not saying like it’s a bad thing. When I saw Peggy for the first time, I knew I was gonna fall for her eventually too”

Sam shook his head and walked away, not wanting to be interrogated by his friends anymore. He felt strange connection with you and that scared him. He heard a lot of stories by his mom about soulmates but he never believed in any of them but right now…he thinks that maybe, just maybe, there’s a possibility that they exist.

•••

The next morning you came in knocking on Sam’s door which he quickly opened, worried that you might need help.

“I remember everything” you said quietly to him.

His eyes lit up for a second but then quickly turned into a small frown because the look on your face was telling that no matter what you remembered, it’s not gonna be good. “okay, let’s go find the others” he placed his hand on your back and led you to the living room before calling everyone in with Friday’s help.

Being the center of the attention was nothing new to you but you still feel uncomfortable, everyone just staring at you and waiting for you to start talking.

You cleared your throat to prepare and looked down on your lap so you wouldn’t have to keep an eye contact with anyone.

“Brock Rumlow was my boyfriend. I thought he was a good guy…I mean everything was going great at first until one day…we had drinks at his place and I passed out so I guess he put something in it and the next thing I remember is me being tied up on a bed at Hydra’s base just like you have done to me yesterday” you spoke as everyone looked at you with a guilty look. “they injected me with a serum but I’m not sure which one so yeah long story short, I was trying to run away and they shot me in the leg” you sighed and looked up.

Steve looked at Wanda as if asking are you telling the truth and she just nodded feeling bad for you.

“how did you end up by our front door? And why were you unconscious?” Natasha asked.

“when I ran out I jumped into a taxi and he drove me here since he saw that I was shot he didn’t even ask me to give him money. I felt dizzy and my leg hurt like hell so I wasn’t able to reach the door when I passed out” you explained.

“I got the results” Bruce came into the room with a lot of papers in his hands. “they injected a serum that was never used before-“ he started.

“so she was an experiment” Sam interrupted.

“yeah I guess so. I’m still not sure what that serum is supposed to do but we might find out soon, at least she’s alive”

“look, I’m not going to be a burden. I’ll go home tonight, I just wanted to let you guys know because you have to stop them and you’re the only ones that can do that, who knows how many more innocent people are being experimented on and how many of them were unsuccessful leading to death” you offered them a small smile before standing up from your seat.

Sam grabbed your arm to stop you from walking away and you looked at him confused. “you can’t go. Rumlow and his minions are definitely searching for you right now, it’s not safe. Stay here until we take them down” he offered.

Unsure, you looked around the room and the people sitting there. “I don’t know” you meeked out.

“Wilson is right, we’re not letting you put your life in danger. It’s safe here, so please stay” Tony nodded, earning a lot of approvals.

“are you sure?” you asked.

“yes, we are sure. You can stay here as long as you need” Steve gave you a reassuring smile.

•••

A week has passed. A week of trying to come up with a plan on how to take down Hydra and also to figure out what did that serum do to you.

Also a week of getting to know more about the whole team and especially getting closer to Sam. His behaviour towards you was shocking to you since you never had someone taking care of you as much as he did. He would always check up on you, talk to you, help you.

Everyone in the compound teased him about looking like a lost puppy following you everywhere you go but he didn’t care, he just wanted to spend as much time as he can until everything is done and you will get back home.

You were standing in the kitchen, making yourself and Sam something to eat when you heard a loud bang, making you drop everything you had in your hands and then Sam came in running, he looked frightened as he grabbed your hand and started dragging you somewhere.

“go in your room and stay there” he instructed and was about to run off but you stood in his way, placing your hands on his chest to stop him.

“what the fuck is going on?”

“they are here”

That’s all he needed to say. You let him go and went back to your room, your heart was beating out of your chest. Your plan to attack them first failed because now they are here and in your mind, it’s all your fault.

You couldn’t stay still, knowing and hearing that people who saved and helped you are now in danger by people who hurt you.

Impulsively, without any protection, guns or anything, you ran out of the compound as Sam immediately saw you. “y/n! Go back inside!” he yelled while hitting another Hydra’s soldier on the ground.

You ignored him, storming right to where Brock and Steve were fist fighting. You didn’t know what was going on in your mind especially the fact that you could get killed any second now. “Steve, back off”

He frowned looking at you but your eyes burning from rage were fixated on Brock as Steve took a small step back, knowing that you deserve to at least let your anger out on the person that hurt you the most. “I let you in my life, I trusted you, I was even falling in love with you” you started, pointing your index finger at Brock with each word. “you fucking piece of shit used me for an experiment. You weren’t even sure if I was going to survive!” you raised your voice as your eyes teared up but you blinked a couple of times trying to keep them in. “I hate you so fucking much you have no idea” you gritted through your teeth as by now everyone was standing around you after they quickly knocked out Brock’s colleagues. “I’m going to kill you”

Brock was standing still in front of you, listening to your every word but started smiling at the end. “y/n…” he giggled. “I know you. You are all talk”

You were furious. “you don’t know a shit about me and you’re going to regret ever seeing me”

Before you could do anything, you heard a lot of gasps and Sam’s voice. “y/n? Look at your hands”

You looked down and widened your eyes. They were burning. Like literal fire was coming out of your hands. Brock’s smile fell when he glanced at your hands but before he could try to run away or tackle you; you were already grabbing his arms and burning him in the process, making him yell out of pain.

The more you got angry, the more flames got out of your hands making Brock’s whole body burn. The team were standing with their mouths wide open, trying to comprehend everything, while Bruce was already running back inside the compound to look over your tests results once again and to try to find something that explains how did your hands lit up on fire.

When Brock’s body fell on the ground unconscious you stood there for a few seconds, just staring. The fire on your hands slowly decreased and you managed to turn around to face the team.

“h-how?”

Before you could answer, Bruce came running back with a big smile on his face. “I don’t know how did I miss this fact but apparently that serum was filled with one of the Infinity Stones, I’m just not sure which one and now you can create and throw fire with your hands”

You raised your hand a little bit and snapped your fingers, making a small flame on the tip. Mesmerised you started moving your finger in circles, trying to understand what is going on.

Sam walked closer to you, until he was standing right in front, he carefully grabbed your hand, trying not to burn himself and folded it into a fist before lowering it down.

You looked up at him and just now you realised what happened. You killed your ex, you can create fire with your hands. You killed a person.

You wanted to look back at him, but Sam quickly grabbed your head and cupped your cheeks, knowing exactly what you were about to do. “it’s okay. No one’s is going to hurt you now” he whispered.

You wanted to say something, but nothing came out of your mouth as you just nodded. Sam pulled you closer and hugged you tightly, giving you small kiss on the top of your head. You never felt more safe.

•••

The next day, you were already saying goodbye to everyone and thanking them a million times.

“please join us. You would be very useful with your powers” Tony asked you, hoping for a positive answer.

“I don’t know…maybe it’s too soon, I still need to figure out my powers and how to use them”

“it’s okay. Whenever you’re ready…you know where to find us or if you need any help, don’t hesitate” Natasha smiled, giving you one last hug.

“okay” you sniffled and wiped the tear that escaped your eye.

“I will miss you” Sam sighed sadly also hugging you a lot tighter that Nat. To explain the feelings that he has right now is almost impossible. He was heartbroken, like a piece of him is going away; he was angry that he didn’t make a move earlier and now he might never see you again, unless you change your mind.

“I will miss you too, so much” you whispered into his chest.

“bye”

•••

A few hours later, Sam found himself once again opening the front door of the compound, a slight dejavu flashing him.

“y/n?” he asked surprised, eyeing you up and down to make sure you’re not hurt.

“can I stay here? Apparently Rumlow destroyed my flat while they were looking for me” you nervously fiddled with your fingers, a few sparks coming out of them in the process.

“of course, come in. Are you okay?” Sam asked worriedly.

You bit your bottom lip softly and shook your head, giving him an answer. He extended his arms, inviting you in a hug which you gladly accepted, wrapping your arms around his waist, letting a few tears roll down your cheeks. “he ruined my life” you sniffled.

“hey, no. Don’t think like that. Life still goes on, you just have a little bit more right now. You have cool powers which I’m kinda jealous for” you giggled at his words. “and you have new friends, a family if I may say”

“you may” you smiled looking up at him. “thank you” your words came out in a whisper.

Sam cupped your cheeks with his hands. “you don’t need to thank me. I’m here for you” his eyes fell on your lips and he started leaning in a little until his lips touched yours. Anger, pain, sadness, regret. Every feeling that you felt the past days just simply washed away with a kiss.

Now you felt safe, happy, wanted and loved. Everything you ever wanted.

You pulled away and looked at Sam again. “I think I’m falling in love with you”

“what a coincidence. I think I’m falling in love with you too”

Pairing: Sam Wilson x Reader

Summary: I know I said I didn’t have a request, but I sort of do now? If you accept this, put it at the bottom of the list because it’s not that great. Anyway, I was wondering if I could request a fic were the reader and either Loki, Strange or Sam Wilson (I don’t mind, you’ve already done so many Loki ones so I thought I’d let you choose) are like frenemies and bicker a lot, until one of them is insulted and the other stands up for them. Whoever stood up for the other is then teased by (supporting character for whichever character) and the reader and (Loki, Strange, Sam) verbally team up. They then realise they have some mutual interests and become an unstoppable sassy force. Either a platonic or fluffy ending is fine ;). I’m not sure if I’ve given enough detail or not. Hope this is ok and not confusing.

A/N:I had a lot of fun with this one, even if it was difficult fabricating an argument between the entire female population and the sweetest bean to ever grace our screens. Hopefully this is still okay. Enjoy!

‘Keep Your Enemies Closer’

“They’re at it again,” Clint said, quirking an eyebrow over the rim of his coffee mug. Well, mug was a relative term. It was the whole coffee pot – but it had a handle, and he was using it.

“Of course, they are,” Natasha chuckled. “It’s their day off. What else are they going to do?”
“Talk. Like ordinary people. Like friends.”
“I don’t think friends is the right word to describe those two.”

Steve sighed.
“Be nice, you two.”
“Why?” Clint said, placing his ‘mug’ down. “They’re not nice to each other. Why should I be?”
“At least theirs is in jest. Yours is just… complaining.” Steve smirked at the sight of Clint’s irritation. “If it bothers you so much, Barton, do something about it.”

“In his defense, Rogers,” Natasha interjected, “they’re both your friends. Perhaps you should do something about it.”
“No. It doesn’t bother me.”
“Doesn’t it? Or do you just not want to get involved?”

The truth was, of course, the latter, and Natasha knew it. Nobody wanted to get involved when you and Sam were in the same room. The first time the pair of you ‘fought’, it had been amusing. The second time was a surprise. Everybody had thought that the two of you would get along like a house on fire. Every time afterwards was just irritating, but it was too late to intervene.

“What’s it about this week?” Clint asked. Natasha shrugged and took his coffee pot for her own, lifting it to her lips and taking a swig.
“Does it matter?”

When he saw that neither his friend or his teammate were going to be any help, Clint made the resolute decision that he was going to get involved. Standing up from the kitchenette table, he made for the door with the unique skip in his step reserved only for those moments of pride that almost always came before a fall.
“They’re going to murder him, aren’t they?” Steve asked.

“Most likely,” Natasha replied.

Clint slipped into the room as quietly as he was able. Luckily, it wasn’t hard. The volume of your voice could have muted a sneaking elephant.
“Say that again, flyboy, I dare you.”
Flyboy?
“When you’re good for more than acting like a glorified hand glider, I’ll update your nickname.”

As the room was navigated, Barton observed the ensuing argument. He eventually stopped beside a workbench at the end of the lab. It was empty enough that he could lift himself onto it and sit cross-legged. The one you were working at, however, was covered in clutter. Tools. Wires. An empty coffee mug. Predominantly, the space was occupied by Sam’s wing pack, opened up and vomiting cables. You leant over the top of it, thickly-gloved hands pushing parts aside and making small adjustments. Sam followed your every move with vulture-like precision. It was no wonder you were getting agitated; the man probably hadn’t left you alone since you’d started maintenance on his suit.

“I’m just saying – I really think I’m doing all the work here,” Sam sighed, returning a cable to its original position after you’d pushed it aside.
“Are you fuck,” you snapped, standing upright and planting your hands on your hips.
“Well just look at this wiring. If I didn’t tidy it up, who would?”
Me, fucknuts, when I’m finished, which – no matter how much you want me to be – I am not. This is my work, Sam. Mine. Step off.”

“So, you really think that you’re doing all the work?” Sam chuckled, taking a step back with his hands raised defensively.
“Yes! Only one of us studied Electrical Engineering at university.”
“So you admit, then, that it’s your fault everything is broken, and that this bit is wrong, and this cable is out, and-”
Oh, I’m sorry, would you like to take over? Here’s a spark plug. Be my god damned guest.

Clint smirked to himself, and finally hopped off of the table.
“Girls, girls, you’re both pretty.”

Silence swiftly swallowed the room. There was a cutthroat quiet as it sunk in that another had joined the argument; another who was most certainly not welcome.

Your head turned with terrifying slowness. Lowered jaw jutting to the side and tongue in cheek, the lowering of your shoulder was indicative of your ire, combined with the way your hands gripped your hips a little tighter. Sam steadily folded his arms and pushed weight onto his back foot. How quickly the dynamic between the two of you changed; in a split second, you’d gone from being at each other’s throats to leaning closer to one another, almost touching shoulders. An impenetrable wall of sass. A team. Ready to fire on all cylinders.

Clint swallowed nervously.

“Can we help you?” Sam growled, nudging you like he was sharing a joke that only you could hear. If the way your lips curled was anything to go on, the joke was evidently funny.
“Yeah, princess, you want to talk? Little miss I-can’t-function-without-nine-ounces-of-caffeine-in-my-system.”

“I, uh-” Clint stammered.
“Look at him,” Sam continued, jabbing his thumb in Clint’s direction. “Basic bitch shirt and jeans; who the fuck are you, Barton?”
“Yeah, Barton, you want to take over on wing repair? You think you’ve got what it takes? I’ve seen you burn boiling water. Don’t come in here acting like you’re hot shit.”

Clint felt like his tongue was caught in a vice; even if he’d been permitted a chance to speak, he was suddenly and entirely tongue-tied. Sam scoffed loudly.
“As if I’d let him nearmy wings. Please. There’s only one person I’d trust to touch these things and it ain’t birdbrains over here. He might as well be called Penguin for all of his flying skill.”

That was the last straw. Clint strode forward, face red as a beetroot, and thrust a finger towards the pair of you. It startled you enough to permit some silence.
“You two are insufferable. I came in here to see if I could help stop the arguing, but you just can’t help it! Just kiss already and give the rest of us a minute’s peace. God!

And with that, he was gone, marching out of the room whilst muttering and grumbling to himself. A door had never slammed so hard. In his wake, Clint had left a thick cloud of tension in the air. It settled into your throat and forbid you from speaking. You cleared it once, hoping to dislodge whatever had stuck but in vain. You leant back over the wing pack. Sam’s eyes watched you the whole time. You could feel his curious gaze. Something lay on the tip of your tongue…

“You… You said something nice about me,” you murmured, biting your lip as you slid a cable into the appropriate socket. Sam coughed once and looked away.
“I, uh, I suppose I did. I meant it though. You’re the best at what you do. I’m only stubborn because… Well, if I wasn’t here, you’d hold yourself to the same standard and worry too much about it. At least this way, you can pin your stress on me. Still, I’d say nice things more often if I thought you’d take the compliments.”

“I can take compliments,” you grumbled. Sam laughed loudly, clutching his chest to exaggerate.
“I’ll believe that when I see it.”

You leaned closer to the wing pack to feign that the heat on your face was from hard work.
“Well, you… you can say things like that again, if you like. I- I don’t mind if they’ve come from you. I might, uh, might even have nice things to say back…”

Sam swallowed thickly and tugged at the collar of his shirt. His laugh had become distinctly more nervous, and he did not like the feeling.
“You, uh, you missed a cable.”

“Don’t start, flyboy.”

Pairing: GN!Reader x Avengers (Platonic)
Warnings: Not really? Mentions of blood
Requested: Nope, send in some stuff loves!

You met all the Avengers separately. Originally you had joined Sheild before the Avengers were a thing and one day when you were kidnapped by some crazy scientist that proceeded to experiment on you, you were then considered for the Avengers Initiative… only considered since you couldn’t quite control the random powers you gained from the experiments.

You met Tony Stark when you had to join Natasha one day at the Stark Tower.

You were in his little penthouse and were in front of some random… thing that was in his living room, waiting for the man himself to meet up with you and Nat.

Your hand had reached forward to touch it, to see what it was because you had no clue what it was exactly, when you heard from the elevator; “Don’t breathe on that, it’s expensive.”

You froze and then straightened up before turning to the voice, who turned out to be Tony. Nat was sitting on the couch, covering up a small grin in amusement at the innocent look you had put on your face.

Tony swaggered over and dragged his eyes over your person.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” You gave a big grin as you rocked on the balls of your feet.

Tony’s lips twitched before scoffing. “We’ll get along great.”

-

You met Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes one day after getting back from a mission that went a little sideways. You had just walked into the communal area in bloody clothes when you paused at the site of Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers.

They also paused at the site of you standing there like a deer in headlights.

Brushing off the sudden and shocked silence, you grinned and waved at the two. “Hiiiii! I’m Y/N otherwise known as [Alias]. Nice to meet you two!”

Bucky raised an eyebrow and looked you over slowly while Steve opened his mouth slowly while frowning his eyebrows. “Uhhh… Steve.” He gave a major pause while opening and closing his mouth.

Bucky picked up the question. “Is that blood?” He tilted his head.

You looked down at your clothes and then looked up. Biting your lip before slowly answering. “No…?” You even looked confused at your answer.

Bucky gave a bark of a laugh while Steve looked more concerned. “That’s not a question you’re supposed to answer with another question.”

You chuckled nervously while rubbing the back of your neck.

-

How you met Bruce Banner was even worse.

You had just accidentally broken a very expensive training robot and had just walked out of the training room and bumped into Bruce.

Grinning guiltily, you put your hands behind your back. “Did you see that?” You asked casually.

He had glanced behind you while adjusting his glasses and saw the robot on fire and looked lost. “Umm…”

“The correct answer is no… no you didn’t. Nice to meet you Dr. Banner!” You spoke cheerily before taking off down the hallway as fast as you could.

-

Thor and Loki were interesting.

Thor was in the living room, plastered to the glass overlooking the city of Stark Tower when you walked in and he was grinning as he observed everything.

“Lady Natasha! What is the word for that infestation of tiny creatures over there?!” He pointed somewhere.

Curious, you followed Nat over to the window and looked to where he was pointing and you laughed heartedly as Nat deadpanned. “Those are children… That’s a school.” She said with no emotion in her tone. Making you laugh even more, to the point you leaned against the window next to them.

Meeting Loki was during the Invasion when you were making your way to the top of the Tower with Nat and you misjudged where to land so you landed on the area that was Tony’s suit landing area… You tucked and rolled and then landed in front of some feet.

Freezing, you stared at the boots for a moment. Thinking to yourself, “Shitshitshitshitshit… why me?”

“Mortal…” A deep accented voice spoke from above you. Leaking of arrogance and prestige.

You rushed to stand up and straightened up. But you froze at the man before you. Why did he have to be so attractive…

You laughed nervously as Loki examined you from top to bottom. “Don’t mind me…I’ll just go find a corner to have my existential crisis.” You tried to move to the side to walk around him, but he cut you off with the Septer. You looked down at it and then back up.

“Shouldn’t you be worshipping me, mortal?” He gave a mad grin, which made his appearance look a little more haggard.

In your mind, you said yes but outward you spoke. “Not interested, thanks.” You gave an anxious grin.

Loki’s face dropped for a moment but took steps closer to you. He looked out the window behind me and then turned back to you. “This is a beautiful world.” He said sarcastically will a tilt of his head and smarmy grin.

You gave a big eye smile and sassed “Shame you came from so far away to destroy it, huh?”

He raised an eyebrow and smirked. “Not really.”

Quickly you ducked and then took off away from him. You gave him a sassy salute and grin, observing his face as he looked at you shocked for a moment. “Later, Mischief!”

-

Meeting Clint was the most fun. He was the one that recruited you. After escaping the scientist that experimented on you, you were living on the street for a good while.

You had just stolen some food from an expensive restaurant and had made your way to one of the building’s roof to sit and eat while enjoying the view.

In the middle of your meal, a man sat next to you and took a bite from the container. “Pretty snazzy food you got there.”

You froze and watched him wide eyed for a moment before contemplating jumping to escape.

He nonchalantly took another bite as he looked over the city. “Don’t jump, I don’t wanna have to chase you. It took a while to track you down.”

You frowned your eyebrows and sighed. “What are you? Cop?”

He snorted. “Nah, I just worked for a company called The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division.”

You blinked and scrunched your face up. “What? Did someone not know how to shorten names?”

“I think they are going to shorten it to S.H.I.E.L.D.” He shrugged and then reached up to adjust something on the side of his head. You notice of the hearing aid and your lips twitched before straightening up.

“And why have you been tracking me down?” You started to swing your legs over the side of the building as you observed the man next to you.

He gave a smile, “I think I have a job for you kid.”

Natasha was short and sweet…

A few months after your training finally finished, Clint told you that he had someone he wanted you to meet and potentially become your mentor.

Following Clint into a training room in one of Sheild’s headquarter buildings, you spotted a red headed lady with a face set into an emotionless mask.

You walked up with Clint and Clint spoke up, “Nat, this is Y/N. Y/N this is Natasha Romanoff, otherwise known as the Black Widow.”

Your face set into an awed expression. “Woahhhh, so badass…” You grinned. “You get on Clint’s nerves, too?” You teased.

You saw her lips twitch but her mask remained. She looked you up and down before turning to Clint. “They’ll do.”
