All respondents and every response is worth so much and I ESPECIALLY need MALE respondents so if any guys are willing to participate it would mean so much to me!! ;ww;

I believe it is super important to study how lgbt subtext is perceived in our media culture so if you are interested in helping me, please click the link below! It will allow you to download my text and the survey (plus more instructions!) It should take about 15-30 minutes to complete the study!

Thank you so much for your consideration! ;w;

Hi all!

Long time no see ;w;

I am once again asking for your help with a research project.

Do you identify as queer/LGBTQ and do you love gaming? Then please continue reading!

Do you want better queer games?

Then please participate in this anonymous survey to help game designers learn what makes a game appealing to queer players! I am a queer master’s student working to develop tools for queer game design in my research. Make your voice heard so that game developers can make even more awesome, queer friendly games! Thank you for your time and participation!

The survey should not take more than 10-15 minutes and it would mean a lot to me to get in touch with queer players and hear your thoughts and experiences.

Once again, thank you for your interest, and happy gayming! :D

I’ve been making a lot of money using an survey website. I’ve been doing it for a few months now and make $70 per day from doing their online surveys.

Here is the link for the one I use if you want to give it a try.

You can sign up for the site and you get a bonus just for signing up. I’ve been paid about 10 times from each so I know it’s not a scam. It’s easy and quick to sign up and it’s worth giving it a try.

You’ll be able to complete the surveys and redeem your points for paypal cash, a check, or giftcards. Good luck and have fun! I wish someone told me about this sooner :)

I’ve been using these both for a while and I take the surveys in my free time and make $400-$500 per week from it. It’s definitely worth the extra income in you have some free time to spend a few minutes on these. Definitely helps out so I can buy my makeup!

Hello!

First off, to my followers that are not teachers, I apologize.

Second…I am looking for teachers/education students to take a survey for a college research project. (I am studying predominantly Finnish and American educators, but others are encouraged to participate).

I am a senior education student as well as an honor student. In order to graduate with honors I must conduct a research study related to my major. I am studying the differences between American and Finnish education systems. For my study I have created an anonymous survey to hear your opinions / experiences as educators….

HERE is the link to the survey.

Please share this with your teacher friends / reblog / participate. I need all the help I can get!

Thanks everyone!

please do answer this survey!

Thank you everyone!

Responses for the “advice you’d give your past self” forms are now closed. To everyone who responded, thank you so much for your help it really makes such a difference :D

If you didn’t get a chance to respond and/or did but want to help more, be on the lookout soon for the peer-editor call and beta-read call, as that will be a chance to offer feedback on the drafts of the guide (and get a chance to read it before it’s officially out!)

ALRIGHT! MY DUDES! I NEED HELP ON A PROJECT!

Okay so basically the idea of it is that I’m writing a short book/guide/thing for my school library about how to get started writing novels or other long-form fiction, right. Topics like how to make the process less daunting, how to find a place in the writing community where you can talk to other writers, where to find good writing advice/what to listen to and what not to listen to/when certain writing advice is useful, that kind of thing.

What I wished I knew when I was a baby writer tm and didn’t yet have connections to other writers, or even a great sense of what questions to ask.

When it is completed, a free PDF will be available for general readership

So what kind of help is most needed?

PLEASE REBLOG THIS AND SPREAD THIS AROUND

But mainly, I wanna hear what pieces of advice you would give your past self when you were first getting started? What pieces of knowledge could have made a noticeable difference in how you approached the journey? If you started writing already surrounded by writer friends, what were some things they told you that you think were instrumental in how you’re doing now? If you didn’t start in a writing community but feel pretty connected now, how did you get there? What was your path?

Below is a handy-dandy google form below to write in responses (including an opportunity to boost your current wips!)

Thank you so much!

Let’s end ASAW with a new survey I have been working on. I’ve decided to have a survey on one aspect of aromantic identity that I haven’t seen discussed, which is preferences towards sexual relationships.

Who this survey is aimed at: any aromantic above the age of 18 can participate, but I am particularly interested in aros who experience sexual attraction or sexual desires, aros who have previous experiences with sexual relationships, and aros who are curious about sex in general. This includes sex favorable aroaces, but also aro who tried sex and decided it was not for them, or sex repulsed aroallos. You can participate if you have no sexual experience.

What this will ask you: general demographic questions, whether you have previous sexual experiences (prefer not to say is an allowed option), what relationship dynamics do you or would you prefer to have with a sexual partner (committed or not, qprs, fwb, etc.), and a few personal opinions on how aromanticism relates to sexuality.

What this will NOT ask you: any details about preferred sexual positions, acts or kinks, any details about your sexual fantasies, any information about your sexual partners, or any identifying personal information.

The survey does not accept participants under the age of 18. I ask anyone below that age (or below the age of adulthood in your country) not to participate, although you may of course share the link to the survey with others if you want.

Discovering A-spec Identity Results

The results are here!

This was a wide a-spec community survey on discovering one’s a-spec identity. @aromagni and I ran it in 2019.

There were 1070 responses to the survey. 744 of these responses were complete - these participants completed the survey in its entirety. A large portion of respondents in this survey (42%) identified as aroace. Most were white Americans. As such, there is a demographic skew and these results are not representative of the whole a-spec community.

The vast majority of respondents indicated they are single. For those in partnerships, a large portion (over 60%) indicated they were dating. Many others indicated they were in unlabeled partnerships or QPRs, with other types of relationships less common.

Almost half of respondents did not identify as queer/LGBTQ+ before discovering their a-spec identities. Interestingly, although the word “aromantic” has not been as popular as “asexual” in many spaces, the earliest respondents identified as either of these was very close, in the early to mid ‘80s. For those who identify as broadly a-spec, the earliest year was 2008. The vast majority of respondents (82.37%) indicated they discovered asexuality before aromanticism. Only 1.79% of respondents indicated they discovered aromanticism first. The remaining 15% reported discovering aromanticism and asexuality around the same time. Similarly, the vast majority of respondents (i.e., 69.58%) indicated identifying as asexual before identifying as another a-spec identity.

Of the a-spec respondents that label different types of attraction, the most common labels relate to platonic and aesthetic experiences. Sexual attraction was the least commonly labeled type of attraction for this sample. Many respondents also indicated that labeling specifically is difficult.

In this survey, we grouped different respondents into a-spec categories, but this is not necessarily a useful or accurate thing to do. Nevertheless, we found some differences between different a-spec people in terms of their experiences of attraction, their relationship status, and whether they identified as queer before identifying as a-spec. The sample size here is small, so further research into these differences is highly recommended.

Aro-spec Identities and Experiences of Stigmatization 2019 Survey Results

The results are here!

Thank you very much to everyone who participated and waited for us to run our analyses. Huge thank you to @aromagni for helping with this.

The survey covered aro experiences of stigmatization and microaggressions. It was a follow-up survey to one run in 2018 by the same name. You can find results for that one in three parts: one, two, and three.

There were 358 responses to the survey. 240 of these responses were complete - these participants completed the survey in its entirety. The vast majority of respondents indicated they are aromantic or aro, followed by queer and aro-spec. More specific labels such as greyromantic, oriented aro, and et cetera were also present but not as common as the general ones. Most respondents were young (under 30 years old), non-binary/genderqueer, and white. This means the data in this survey was skewed towards these demographics and the results are not representative of the whole community.

No (n=0) participants indicated that they Never experienced any microaggressions against them personally at all. The top three most often experienced microagressions were:

  1. I have felt alienated by society because I am aromantic
  2. Others have told me that there is no such thing as discrimination or prejudice against aromantic people
  3. I have felt alienated by LGBTQ+ or queer communities because I am aromantic

The top three most distressing microaggressions were:

  1. I have been propositioned for a romantic relationship because I am aromantic
  2. I have been threatened with harm because I am aromantic
  3. People have not respected by aromantic identity (e.g., did not acknowledge boundaries, repulsion, etc.)

The most frequently reported discriminatory behavior toward aromantics was having the aromantic identity been made fun of, ridiculed, or been belittled by media or society at large (mean=4.21/6, a lot). The least frequently reported discriminatory behaviors toward aromantics were being denied a raise and being denied a job (mean=1.03/6, almost never)

Some aros with specific identities seemed to experience certain microaggressions more often than aros with other identities. Abroromantics, demiromantics, and nebularomantics seemed to be affected most.

Hi everyone,

If you remember, last year I made a survey to see what the bi community’s experiences, diversity, and opinions were like. I got a fair amount of response, and some interesting results.

This year, I made a better version. It’s more user friendly, it asks better questions (and asks them in ways that are easier to understand).

It asks about your mental health, if you have ever considered suicide/self harmed, experienced sexual assault, etc. You don’t have to go into detail on any of the personal questions, and you can choose ‘prefer not to say’ on them.

It also asks your opinion on inter-community politics and gender politics in general, and your experiences as a bi person. So as you can tell, it can be a little lengthy, especially depending on your own personal experiences. It would take the average person 15-20 minutes to take.

If you can, please take the survey! If not, please reblog and signal boost.

Here is the link: [x]

After a few weeks, or once the responses seem to die down, I will publish the results on here.

Thank you!

Hi guys !!

The wonderful Heather and two of her friends created a Survey for cis and trans women and non-binary, genderqueer, or agender people who identity as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual and/or queer who have seen Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

The goal of this completely anonymous survey is to document this community—the large number of us, our ages, all the different countries we live in, and the range of our lesbian and queer experiences. Hundreds of people, from Singapore to Switzerland and from India to Italy, have already taken the Portrait survey.

The study we will complete after we get many more responses will show how important yet little known this queer community is as a film audience!

It would *really* means a lot if you could take a little of your time to complete this survey. We know how impactful the film had on our community and it would be so great to have an actual trace of it with numbers and all.

This project means a lot to me but even more to the creators of it. You would help tons if you could participate to this project!

So please take the survey and share the link after to encourage others to take it, too

Have a lovely day y’all ❤️

Americans aren’t willing to cut spending, increase the deficit, have fewer employer-provided benefits, or reduce the number of female managers in the workforce in exchange for federal paid leave…

The new Cato 2018 Paid Leave Survey of 1,700 adults finds that nearly three-fourths (74%) of Americans support a new federal government program to provide 12 weeks of paid leave to new parents or to people to deal with their own or a family member’s serious medical condition. A quarter (25%) oppose establishing a federal paid leave program. Support slips and consensus fractures for a federal paid leave program, however, after costs are considered.

The survey found 54% of Americans would be willing to pay $200 a year in higher taxes, a low-end estimate for a 12-week federal paid leave program. However, majorities of Americans would oppose establishing a federal paid leave program if it cost them $450 a year in higher taxes (52% opposed) or $1,200 a year in higher taxes (56% opposed), the mid-range and high-range cost estimates respectively.

These low-, mid-, and high-range cost estimates are based on the most high-profile federal paid leave program proposed to date: The Family and Medical Insurance Leave Act (FAMILY Act).

The survey also did not ask questions about what paid leave policies Americans would like to see offered at private companies. Instead, the Cato 2018 Paid Leave Survey focuses on what people think about establishing a government-provided paid family leave program at the federal level.
