Bon. D’autres l’ont dit mieux que moi, mais bordel, allez voter Macron dimanche. Pas parce qu’il a fait du bon boulot (il n’y a qu’à voir la casse sociale que lui et ses petits copains ont fait depuis 5 ans), pas parce qu’il est sympathique (je les exècre, lui et son arrogance, il a le mépris inné de celui qui n’a jamais rien raté de sa vie par pur hasard), mais parce que quoi qu’il fasse, Le Pen sera pire.
D’abord, c’est l’extrême droite. (L’EXTRÊME DROITE. Depuis quand c’est un détail !?) Une idéologie fondée sur les intolérances de tout poil. Un parti fondé par d’anciens Waffen-SS, collabos, et tortionnaires pendant la guerre d’Algérie. Contrairement à celleux qui brament qu’on “a essayé la gauche et la droite, pourquoi pas quelque chose de nouveau”, c’est exactement Vichy remis au goût du jour, avec l’islamophobie en prime. Si elle gagne tous les fachos et les néo-nazis de France ne se sentiront plus pisser. On a vu ce que ça donnait quand Trump est passé en 2016, et encore, c’était de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique.
(Vous voulez vraiment que la première présidente de la république française soit d’extrême droite !?? SÉRIEUX.)
Donc oui, j’irai voter pour l’autre connard au second tour, parce que NON, ce n’est PAS “la peste ou le choléra”, c’est l’ultralibéralisme de droite ou l’extrême-droite.
Et quel que soit le nombre de Français qui votent “blanc”, dimanche à 20h on aura une tête à la télé, et ce sera soit l’un, soit l’autre. Pas de deuxième chance, pas de “elle a gagné mais il avait plus de voix”, non - ce sera la présidente élue au suffrage universel. Pendant cinq ans. Imaginez tout ce qu’elle pourra détruire pendant cinq ans. Tous celleuxqu’elle pourra détruire pendant cinq ans. La honte de savoir que la France est un pays de fachos aux yeux du monde (et aux nôtres).
On sait que ces enfoirés vont aller voter, eux, et on sait qu’un certain nombre de déçus de Macron ou des Mélanchonnistes déçus peuvent voter pour Le Pen par dépit.

In French, we don’t say “thong” to refer to the clothing item, we say “(le) string [(\lə\) \stʁiŋ\]”. But in European French, we also have the word “(la) tong [(\la\) \tɔ̃ɡ\]” that translates to the beach slippers/sandals commonly known as “Flip-flops” and I always found it confusing.

D’abord parce que notre position de classe et notre situation dans le monde détermine notre exposition au changement climatique. On sait déjà que plus on est riche, plus on pollue et on contribue au changement climatique (parce qu’on est décideur ou bénéficiaire principal de l’économie capitaliste). Sometimes, NTs are so infuriating. Like there’s really someone who wrote a play about (I’m quoting) “a high-functioning autistic person and a normal autistic person".
It’s the end of the world and they have to decide society’s fate, which means they will make decisions “neither Leftist or Rightist” and test them on a Schizophrenic person who “wants everything and nothing at the same time”.
I shit you not. That’s really the premise of this whole play. Also, of course, no neurodivergent/mentally ill person is either involved in the project or has a part in the play because, according to the theatre company, “autistic actors are tired playing only autistic parts”.
Dude, do you even know how many autistic characters are played by NTs? You’re really gonna pretend you’re being inclusive by notincluding us? They’re being like “Oh, autistic people always have to pretend to be NTs, NTs should pretend to be autistic sometimes in return!”. That’s not how you’re supposed to achieve acceptance, dude!
They only have a behavioral therapist onboard (and the writer/director used to work in the socio-medical field). And they’re really pretending that it’s accurate representation.
Also, they added that they used staging to accentuate the inherent childishness that autistic people can display, and that “we have so much to learn from autistic people, they’re soooo enlightening”. Fuck off.
I don’t want to weigh in on the schizophrenic representation, since I’m not, but given the facial expressions and everything, I’m guessing it’s just as bad…
Here’s the trailer. It’s in French and, despite pretending that they’re uber inclusive, they didn’t put any subtitles. But I think you can already see how fake and unappropriate it seems to be.
Also, what a shock, comments are disabled. I guess they didn’t want autistic people or schizophrenic people to weigh on the subject…

Apparemment Stéphane Bern et Lorant Deutsch préparent une émission commune pour la rentrée avec de l’histoi… enfin du “récit national respectant la chronologie donnant de la chair aux personnages.”(sic).
Une élection importante mais placée un mois après les présidentielles - se transformant ainsi en vote de confirmation car rendant bien plus difficile de se retrouver en situation de cohabitation;
Une multiplication des candidats avec des étiquettes politiques pas toujours clairement affichées;
Un rejet des partis traditionnels - avec aussi peut-être l’impression qu’un député vote pour la logique de son parti et pas pour représenter un candidat…
Ca donne une abstention de 50%. Il y a surement d’autres causes.
Par contre vu les scores élevés du FN dans les différentes régions, ça veut dire qu’il y aura pas mal de conseillers régionaux FN sur une bonne partie du territoire français, même s’ils ne seront majoritaires nul part.
Donc sans même parler 2017 ou autre, ça craint.
Ce post est toujours valable 5 ans après. Même si on peut être soulagé que le RN de ses morts n’ait obtenu aucune région, il ne faut pas oublier le 2e effet kisscool :/

Yesterday, I lost my way - literally, the path I wanted to take didn’t exist. So while walking at the edge of a field, trying to not crush everything and be torn to ribbons by thorns, I suddenly noticed that there was an open space in the bushes at my left. I dived into the bushes (thorny bushes, of course) and lo and behold ! I found the remains of the train tracks that were going between the two towns, fifty years ago ! Certainly worth the thorns, the bushes and the nettle !

Brainstorming pour améliorer l'écriture de genre neutre en français
Bon j'écris ce post parce que j'étais en train rédiger un petit truc sur Judith Butler et en fait je me rends compte qu'écrire “le·la” je trouve ça insupportable (et je suis nonbinaire !). “iel” ça marche bien faut juste s'habituer, les accords en “é·e” aussi parce que de toute façon ça ne change rien à l'oral, et les autres accords doublés non plus ça ne me choque pas, mais alors “le·la” par contre… je trouve que c'est juste un mot de tête quoi ! Je pense que c'est parce que le mot est tellement court et simple que ça paraît absurde de le doubler. Je propose donc qu'on essaye de trouver une solution. J'ai vu “lea” écrit une fois mais je ne trouve pas ça bien, je pense que ça ne renvoie pas assez clairement à un équivalent neutre de “le” ou “la”, parce que mentalement on pense forcément d'abord au prénom.
Du coup moi j'ai envie de proposer “li”. Avec comme proposition additionnelle de garder le point médian comme marqueur de nonbinarité donc: “l·i”.
Exemple:
“Pourl·i philosophe etthéricien·nedu genre Judith Butler, l'idée même que le [blablabla]. En effet ielthéorise que [blablabla].”
Qu'en pensez-vous ? Y a le “i” du “iel” qui revient mais sans renvoyer au “il” masculin pour autant, et ça ne fait pas ‘faux mot’, on dirait plus un “i” comme résultat de fusion des accords finalement grâce au “·”. Et surtout : c'est facilement prononçable à l'oral ! Est-ce que ça vous paraît cohérent et intéressant ? Si on pouvait commencer à lancer le truc peut-être que ça prendrait ?
Avez-vous d'autre mots qui vous bloquent pour écrire de manière neutre ? D'autres propositions ? J'ai envie de lancer une conversation car l'Académie française ne risque pas de le faire de si tôt lol

Alberte-Barbe d'Ernécourt, Dame de Saint-Baslemont - The amazon of Lorraine
Alberte-Barbe (1607-1660) was the eldest daughter of a distinguished family from Lorraine. This region between France and Germany is now part of France, but was at that time an independent duchy. Intelligent, robust and athletic, Alberte-Barbe was also generous and concerned with the well-being of the people who lived on her family estates.
In 1624, she married Jean-Jacques de Haraucourt, lord of Saint-Baslemont. The pair rode on horseback and hunted together. Of their children, only a daughter survived to adulthood. The couple would soon be parted as the Thirty Years’ War raged in Europe. Jean-Jacques left to join the Duke of Lorraine who was fighting against the French. It appears that Alberte-Barbe had sympathies for the French crown, as she sometimes gave safe passage to French troops. She nonetheless respected and supported her husband’s choice and paid his ransom twice when he was made prisoner.
Alberte-Barbe busied herself with defending her territories at the head of a small, but well trained militia. She led from the front, sword in hand and was often found fighting hand-to-hand with her enemies. She fought against French and enemy soldiers as well as marauding brigands, preventing them from pillaging her lands. Her first victory took place in 1636 when she defeated a band of 100 French cavalrymen trying to drive off her cattle herd.
She fought for eight years and her biographer states that she was never wounded or defeated. She also reportedly challenged a military officer who caused troubles on her lands to a duel and defeated him. The man thought he was fighting against “the knight of Saint-Baslemont” and was ashamed and astonished when Alberte-Barbe revealed her real identity before leaving. Her military reputation was so impressive that many refugees came to her lands.
Alberte-Barbe was nonetheless merciful and spared those who surrendered, she also offered medical care to the wounded, friends or foes alike. This benevolence could be observed in other aspects of her life, for instance, she established a weekly “soup kitchen” that fed 200 hundred people, often served by Alberte-Barbe in person. She gave dowries to young women and clothing to young men entering the monastery and cared for the sick.
She was also a very religious woman and attended the mass daily. Alberte-Barbe was also a playwright and wrote a religious tragedy title The twin martyrs and published in 1650. After her husband’s death in 1644, she refused to remarry. She died in 1660.

Émilienne Moreau - The heroine of Loos
Émilienne Moreau (1898-1971) was born to a family of coal miners. Her father moved to Loos-en-Gohelle where she helped him run his shop. She was 17 in when the First World War broke out and was studying to obtain the qualification for becoming a schoolteacher. The German soldiers, however, advanced toward her city. Émilienne warned the French troops of the position of the German artillery, but the French had to retreat.
The civilians began to live in difficult conditions. Émilienne’s father died due to the “privations and anguish” of the occupation. She set herself as a teacher for the local children due to the school having closed. In September 1915, the British troops approached tried to retake the town. Émilienne thus warned them of the positioning of the German defenses.
During the battle, she nursed the wounded in her house. Émilienne also took arms to defend herself. She notably threw grenades to help a fellow Scottish soldier. As she recounted in her memoirs: “I had killed men. Everything happened within minutes. I didn’t even have time to think(…)”. She grabbed a gun and killed two German soldiers who fired at her through the door.
The town was liberated and she and her family evacuated. Émilienne was awarded the Croix de Guerre from the French and received two additional medals from the British. The newspaper Le Petit Parisien also commissioned her to write her memoirs.
Émilienne didn’t give up on her dreams and became a schoolteacher. In 1932, she married Just Evrard, who was like her involved in the socialist party SFIO. In 1934, Émilienne became the Secretary General of the socialist women in the Pas-de-Calais.
As Germany invaded France again in 1940, Émilienne took the path of resistance. She pursued her militant activity and accomplished many missions in Paris, ToulouseorMarseille. She barely avoided arrestation twice in 1944 and managed to escape to London.
Back to France in September 1944, she became one of the six women to be made Compagnon de la Libération (”Companion of the Liberation”) and received the Croix de la Libération (”Cross of the Liberation”). She remained politically active and played a leading role within her party. She died in Lens, in 1971.
