Black Panther cast at The Golden Globes

Last day of Black History Month and I’m celebrating and honoring the amazing, very talented, the late Chadwick Bozeman. He was an American actor and playwright. After studying directing at Howard University, he became prominent in theater, winning a Drama League Directing Fellowship and an acting AUDELCO, and being nominated for a Jeff Award as a playwright for Deep Azure. Transitioning to the screen, he landed his first major role as a series regular on Persons Unknown in 2010, and his breakthrough performance came in 2013 as baseball player Jackie Robinson in the biographical film 42. He continued to portray historical figures, starring in Get on Up (2014) as singer James Brown and Marshall (2017) as Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Boseman achieved international fame for playing superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019. He appeared in four MCU films, including an eponymous 2018 film that earned him an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. As the first black actor to headline an MCU film, he was also named in the 2018 Time 100. In 2016, Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer. Boseman kept his condition private, continuing to act until his death from complications related to the illness in August 2020. He extensively supported cancer charities publicly and privately, as well as giving to organizations that support disadvantaged children. His final film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, was released posthumously in 2020 to critical acclaim. At the 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards Boseman received four nominations, for his work in Ma Rainey as well as Da 5 Bloods, breaking the record for most nominations for an actor in a single night. Chadwick Boseman

This transition touched me differently. Secretly fighting his own personal battle for years while delivering his amazing talents on screen and becoming a beautiful, symbolic black man in power fighting for justice while discovering himself, expanding his culture, and finding his purpose, he became a leader right before our eyes.

Goodness! So much of me wants to believe that he still just fell off the cliff and floated away, but he’s recovering and will return and surprise us all.

I’m devastated

of course i did THE black panther, man! this movie was so amazing they portrayed him well, although their african acccents were a bit off‍♀️ we’ll accept them bc they made africa look so cool #proudafrican #wakandaforever #black panther 2 where are you?

eyyy, killmonger #fan art, he’s one of the best villains although I’m not a pro at marvel villains through the comics but i love how micheal jordan potraited erik killmonger :)

… FOREVER. Gone too soon, but his cinematic & cultural contributions will endure. Rest In… FOREVER. Gone too soon, but his cinematic & cultural contributions will endure. Rest In… FOREVER. Gone too soon, but his cinematic & cultural contributions will endure. Rest In… FOREVER. Gone too soon, but his cinematic & cultural contributions will endure. Rest In

… FOREVER.

Rest In Power, Chadwick Boseman.

Get bag-fumbling bible-thumping Anti-Vaxxer Letitia Wright outta here

and give the role of Shuri to Kiki Layne

Okay can anyone, other than mdcoochie since they blocked me, make sense of this lol

(please read the whole entire thing you won’t be disappointed…or maybe you will)

This is why I said what I said. Yes they used manipulation. Yes they are a villain! No it wasn’t for the same reasons; not even the same ways.

Loki caused all the ruckus by inviting Frost Giants to Thor’s inauguration because he wanted to not only sabotage it but to prove to Odin Thor wasn’t fit for the throne. In a mischievous and shitty way yes, but that was the goal. Because Odin raised Loki into a falsehood that he was meant to be king of Asgard when that was never going to happen, at least, not on purpose. Causing Loki to feel disregarded and always on Thor’s shadow. Odin’s goal of Loki was always to use raise him as a political pawn; his so called benevolence raised him like that to supposedly one day tell him his real origins so he can “peacefully” take over become king. Finding out his origins disrupted everything; what he believed, his true purpose, everything. Not to mention he then moved on from being Odin’s pawn to Thanos’.

Can someone finally realized that the way Loki will plan, manipulate, lie, kill after the fact would never be the same as Killmonger(please read my Killmonger analysis here then come back).

Killmonger goals are not the same. What if? gave an alternative to his plans which was always going to have the same outcome- to take over what he felt entitled to (because he was robbed of such opportunity for an ignorant reason) and come back to his rightful place (home) with later on intentions to help those who were in the same spot as him. The struggles he felt as a POC can’t be compared to Loki therefore their methods (and the why) can’t be either! Not when you downplay it like this to the point it doesn’t even make any sense!

Y’all this is why some of you need improve your critical thinking skills! It’s not about who murdered more, who ranks more as “evilier”, who’s more of a piece of shit. None of that will matter if you don’t make sense of why they used those methods to get where they are in the first place!

Just like Jimmy Woo said “an over simplification of events”.

Blocking me and telling me this afterwards isn’t making your argument any smarter.

I’m kinda glad I not so accidentally came across this. Stupid reason to get blocked because someone gave you more insight because they don’t hold the same supposed morality standards as you do but whatever it’s tumblr

Your point is that they used the same methods therefore they are equally bad because they even have the same motives. Like huuuh?

This is why I said in my In Killmonger’s Defense post on why not every POC story is meant to be understood by everyone.

I’m wondering if the Loki show has anything to do with this kind of thinking. Because after the Loki show, there was been this surge where people disregard fan favorite villains and the reason why they are understood (not praised for what they did). I’m willing to bet the whole argument this user talked about initially is probably made from their head so they can justify writing how they really felt about Loki. Just throwing a theory out there.

Hmmm…

One of the boys hasn’t seen Black Panther…I keep saying “Wakanda forever” and it annoys him because he still hasn’t seen it

The Ghanaian Ambassador to Wakanda has arrived.

Dress made by me! Saturday night viewing and it was amazing! GO SEE THE MOVIE

Forever Chadwick Boseman

Hi everyone. I know it has been a long while since I have been on here, but I could not go a day longer not being on here without addressing what has happened.

About 10:30 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020, I saw the news on Instagram about the passing of the legendary Chadwick Boseman. I did not believe it at first until I look at other posts and saw it was true. I was shocked and my heart fell into shambles. Honestly, it still is.

I know this news is devastating to everyone, including myself, especially once I heard he was battling colon cancer for four years and thought about how young he was. But I think of it as God wanting one of his angels to come home and that is what he did. And also that he is no longer suffering.

In spite of his battle, he spent his last years and so much of his time on this Earth entertaining us to keep us smiling and educating us. That goes to show how strong he truly was and I love him very much for that.

To the Black Panther fandom, I know we are all grieving right now and please take all the time you need to do so. If you need to get off of social media for a while, cry, scream, draw, write, or anything else, whatever activity will help you get through this difficult time I understand.

My condolences go out to the Boseman family. Thank you for sharing Chadwick with us and we will make sure to forever remember him, his works, and the impact he had on all of us.

Rest in Heaven and Power, Chadwick Boseman, we love you always, and Wakanda Forever.
