LIVE

I love my new Kuretake brush pen! No more worrying about running out of ink I wasn’t able to finish in this take, but here I am trying it out on a little fox sketch.

I taught myself to knit so that I could make tiny sweaters for my tiny plushies. They are finally here, after months of trial and error, learning, relearning, and pattern attempts.

Just in time for sweater weather.

Challenge 142: Lifebook Magazine-Issue #67-“Random”: Meditative Doodling

For this challenge I wanted to take you on a journey in my sketchbook where I just draw anything that seems to flow onto paper until I fill up the whole page. For me it’s a great form of meditation and a way for me to relax after a crazy week.  Many of the elements for my pattern designs and ideas come from my random doodles and thoughts in just letting my pencil do its own thing and not thinking too much about the end result.

Usually while I’m doodling I have a movie on in the background that sometimes influences the feel of whatever is coming through on paper. Having just watched Wolfwalkers, Song of the Sea, Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, and The Secret of the Kells. Can you feel this influence as your eyes wander around the page?

I’m happy to share this little lookbook for my collaboration with a small brand Lyoclothes

I made patterns, Olya from Lyoclothes made these beautiful dresses.  All the dresses are made from 100% Viscose (rayon). Our dresses are handmade, sewn locally in my hometown - Saint Petersburg. Due to the nature of a small brand, we have a very limited amount of dresses at this moment! Most of the dresses were made in 5 copies.
If you want to purchase a dress - it is possible to make via Etsy at lyochothes.etsy.com with free shipping. Also, we will update the shop very soon with two new dresses!

Also, I’d like to explain the price because it’s important for me to be transparent. Sadly we can’t offer anything by the fast fashion\mass market prices. Most of the dress price is aiming to cover our expenses for good natural fabric, custom high-quality printing, and sewing dresses locally with all the details. I hope for understanding!

No longer winter but early Spring

Hopes melody the bird’s do sing

Branches still as skeletons bare

Begin to reach for warmer air

Buds beginning pink and green

A scene of calm serenity

Underground the forest floor

Nature’s children stretch and stir

As wakeful warmth seeps into earth

Seeds, roots and soil converse

Ti’s time to grow, the sun awaits

The bees are ready to pollinate

So spread our petals, show our colours

Tell the world Spring is upon us!
