Haha, I was going through old photos of mine, and I found this picture from several years ago. I got this poster of Big Time Rush back when they were going on, and it had some interesting things that caught my eye.
If Big Time Rush ruled the world, as per their song by the same name, we would essentially be living in a socialist utopia. Allow me to explain, in the order that the song lyrics occur. To begin with, there would be mass redistribution of wealth - “I would throw all my money in the air like confetti”. COVID-19 would also have been eradicated months ago, as it would not have aligned with their promises of every house having a “DJ and an backyard party”, assuming that they would be concerned for our health and ensure that the pandemic ended quickly so we could all party without fear of infection. “I’d break all the borders down, when I shake the ground” displays their commitment to amicable international relations and encourages immigration and the aid of refugees. Finally, they allude to the defunding of police with their words “And if the cops ever try to pull us over, tell ‘em 'Hey, Mister Officer, we own ya!’” Which also also seems to call for an end to qualified immunity and a promise to hold officers accountable as public servants. In conclusion, our world would simply be a more peaceful and amiable place if ruled by BTR.
I think people don’t understand that we could be fan of someone. They think we’re crazy. They don’t know we can love someone that we don’t really know. For many of us, we don’t know our idols, but they are able to make us happy, even if they don’t know us. They are able to make us smile and laugh but even cry. We love them so much that we just want their happiness and if they’re happy, so we are. We also do all our possible to put them at the first place, this is our way to say “we love you”. Our idols know all of that, they know we love them, they thanks us everytime they can, and they do all what they can to make us proud of them. And it works because we are, they change our lives, they make them better, every days, every minutes every and seconds. We think about them everytime, hoping they feel good like if they were friends or family. No matter if our idol are Justin Bieber, One Direction, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato or another one, we all are a family, we all have the same feelings. We just love our idols.
