Happy Monday, Bookworms! How was your weekend? Did you read anything awesome? I spent most of mine packing for our vacation this week… I’m both excited and anxious about it. Hopefully I will get in some reading time, at least.

It’s finally Friday, Bookworms! Do you have anything planned for this weekend? Do you have any reading plans? My weekend plans include cleaning and laundry, and hopefully a bit of reading and catching up on Bookstagram as well! What are you guys up to this weekend?

And today is Earth Day! Do you know one thing that we all have in common? We all live on Earth! Do you do anything to help make Earth a better place? I try to do as much as I can every day to keep my carbon footprint as low as possible, including doing the 3 R’s - Reduce, Reuse and Recyle. I also use as many eco-friendly products as I can, and I love finding new products and ideas to use. There are so many great ideas! What do you guys do to help the environment? I would love to find some new ways to help today!

Q: What’s a book series that you still need to read??

We’ve made it to Wednesday, Bookworms … At least I think it’s Wednesday. Are there any book series that you still need to read? Or, as in my case, finish reading? I definitely need to read (finish) the *Graceling* series by Kristin Cashore. I read the first book waaaaaay back when, and don’t remember much about it, so I’d for sure have to start the series over from the beginning. I’ve been meaning to get to it for a while now. Happy Wednesday, fellow book lovers! How’s your week going so far? Mine has been a little crazy and I am beyond ready for the weekend.

Do you have any favorite kinds of rainy day reads? I love curling up with a cute romance when it’s raining outside. Add in a warm drink and it’s the best kind of reading day. Yesterday would have been a great rainy reading day … instead I had to go to work. I couldn’t even take a photo before I left because it was so dark and stormy out, so the photo above is a repeat from earlier this year. But it’s some of my favorite romances, so I’m not stressing. Do you like sci-fi books? What about fantasy books? Do you prefer one over the other? Honestly, I like both. I do seem to lean a little more towards fantasy, but I always enjoy sci-fi when I do read it. Which is not often, because I don’t really know of many sci-fi books or series. I do love a good fantasy though! (Especially romantasy! ) One fantasy series that I am determined to read this year is the *Daevabad Trilogy*! I started the first book earlier this year, but set it aside because of focusing issues, but I am determined to get back to it this month. What are some sci-fi or fantasy series that you love?

I started a whole bunch of different books this month, but only finished 3 of them, and 2 novellas as well. *Gallant* is the only physical book I read, the rest were ebooks and audiobooks. I really enjoyed them all though! And I’m hoping to finish one more book today, but I’m not sure if I will have time to or not. We shall see! What about you guys? How was your reading month?? Do you listen to audiobooks? Care to recommend some awesome ones?? I looooooove audiobooks! They are really the best things ever, especially lately when my brain will not let me focus on books for very long. Being able to listen while I multitask is awesome. One series that I love on audio is the *Percy Jackson* series! The audio is so good, and if you haven’t already read the series, now is the perfect time to do so to be ready for the upcoming adaptation. I definitely plan to relisten to them soon. What about you? Any favorites or recently loved audiobooks? I need suggestions!

Hola everyone! I hope everyone is having a brilliant day so far! I haven’t done much in the past few days other than read. I’ve read 3 books in 3 days…My addiction is coming back. I’ve finished, The Wicked King, Archenemies and Wildcard. Have you guys read any of them? Hey guys, it has been a while since I last posted. Not going to lie, I sort of just wanted to get away from posting on Instagram for a while, so I basically took a really long break.
I was planning on coming back during the winter break but then I figured that I should focus on university and get into my major. With that being said, I finished my first year of art uni a couple weeks ago. I loved every minute of it, even if there were several problems. However, now that I’ve spent a couple weeks of uni and I’m back into reading, I figured why not jump back into the community.
So here is my plan for the next few days. 1) Start and get my blog back in order and up and running again. 2) Update my Goodreads! And last but not least, talk to you guys again. If there is one thing that I have missed about this community is just talking to you guys. It could be about books, studying or just some personal stuff. I miss it all. ❤️❤️
So, after saying all of that, I’m going to post when I want to, not because I have too… harsh, but the truth because if there is one thing that I have noticed is that if I post to please others, my content goes down the hill and I don’t feel committed anymore!

It’s officially the end of November!! Who here reached their NaNoWriMo goal??

As for me, I did and I didn’t. I did because I managed to write 50,000 words in the current YA High Fantasy book I’ve been working on, but I didn’t because I already had 48,000 words written when I started and wanted to finish the book by 100,000 words. But, in typical Laura fashion, it’s going to be longer than anticipated. How much longer, you ask? Well, that is still to be determined, my friends.

Honestly though, I am SO excited about this book and I cannot wait for people to read it! I started it a few months before deciding to try the self-publishing game with the CaBW trilogy and put it on hold for two years while I got those out. But it was never far from my mind and I’m as excited about it now as I was in the beginning of 2016 when the pieces of this story first started forming in my head.
