Happy Monday, Bookworms! How was your weekend? Did you read anything awesome? I spent most of mine packing for our vacation this week… I’m both excited and anxious about it. Hopefully I will get in some reading time, at least.

We’ve made it to Wednesday! I hope you are all having a good week. Today is my day off and I am hoping to spend it reading *The Atlas Six* and catching up on all the things. What are you up to today?

And have you DNFed any books this year? How do you decide to not finish a book? I don’t think I’ve DNFed any books this year … I’ve set more than a few aside, but I definitely intend to get back to them. I’ve actually only DNFed a handful of books in all the years I’ve been reading. I always say that I’m going to DNF if I am not enjoying a book, but I always end up reading it anyways, because I’m always wondering if it will get better. Sometimes I end up regretting that decision, but sometimes it does get better. I think it helps that I’ve been a lot picker about what I read lately as well. Instead of reading ALL the books, I’m just choosing books that sound interesting to me, and I think that helps. What about you guys?

Happy Monday, Bookworms! How was your weekend? Did you get lots of reading done?? My weekend was pretty good! I actually finished a book AND I got to see all of my family yesterday. It was a good weekend. How was yours??

And today let’s talk about our last, current, and next reads! I haven’t read much lately, but I recently finished *Gallant* and two Lisa Kleypas books. Today I’m hoping to read a bit more of *Loveless* by Alice Offman, and next I’m determined to read *The Atlas Six* by Olivie Blake. I keep picking it up, but haven’t been able to focus on it, so I may try the audiobook instead. What about you guys? What are your last, current, and next reads??

Have you ever done a buddy read before? What’s a book or series that you’d like to buddy read? I love the idea of of a buddy read. It’s sounds so fun! I’ve only done two buddy reads so far, and … I’m not very good at it. With my short attention span and frequent reading slumps, I am just the worst at trying to keep up with a buddy. That being said, I have enjoy the books that I’ve buddy read so far. For some reason I immediately thought of the *Beautiful* series by Renee Ahdieh would make a good buddy read. It’s such a good series, and would be great to discuss with a buddy. (I definitely need to read the last book asap!) What would your picks be??

And it’s National Pet Day! Do you have any pets? We have quite a few! We have a dog, Molly, who just turned 15 yesterday. We also have two cats, Lizzie Bennet and Mr. Darcy, and four guinea pigs, Oscar & Oliver, and Hermione & Brownie. It’s always lots of fun at our house. Unfortunately I couldn’t get ANY our fur babies to cooperate long enough to take a photo this weekend, so instead I’m featuring a series that has one of my favorite felines, Grimalkin! Good Thursday Morning, Bookworms! Today is one of those days where I have no idea what day it is. I’m so tired, y’all.

Have you read any 5 star reads this year? If so, which books have you loved? (Because I’m totally going to buy some of them. ) Confession: I hate rating books. I hate having to choose between 1-5 stars. Basically, I either didn’t like a book, liked it, or REALLY like it. A 5 star read for me would probably be a book that WOWs me … which hasn’t happened in a while. (NOT because of the books I’m reading, but totally because I’m in a funk.) How do you guys decide how to rate a book? And, what were your last 5 star reads?

And did you guys see that the *Heartstopper* is coming to Netflix this month? I am so excited to watch! (Though, I always say this and never end up watching anything. ) The series is so good, I’m curious to see how the adaptation will do. And I’m hoping to start *Loveless* today!

Happy Wednesday, book lovers! Do you have a least favorite genre? Mine is probably horror. I am not a fan of being scared, so I don’t read the genre very often. I do enjoy the not-too-scary types of books, mostly around Halloween time, but if it’s super scary, count me out. Above are a few that I actually enjoy though! Happy May the 4th Bookworms! Are you a Star Wars fan? Confession: I just recently watched all the movies for the very first time last year (or maybe the year before). I liked them, but I’m definitely more a fan of The Mandalorian. I love Grogu so much! Are you guys fans?

And have you read any books that are set in space? I had to think about this one, because I’ve not really read many! I totally could have used *The Martian* for this prompt, but I happened to remember this *Starbound* series by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, so I went with it. Happy Monday, Bookworms! Have you picked out or started your first read of May? I have already devoured my first book of the month. I listened to the audio of *The League of Gentlewomen Witches* yesterday and it was absolutely delightful! Just the book I needed to hopefully get me started on a great reading month. Today I am starting my reread of *The Kiss of Deception* and I can’t hardly wait to be back in one of my most favorite worlds! I imagine I will be getting through this book very quickly as well. And do you have any fun reading habits?? I’ve recently started playing ambient soundscapes from YouTube while I’m reading, and it’s so nice to have something soothing playing in the background. I really enjoy rain and seasonal ambience the most. Do you have any fun reading habits??

And did you have a good reading month? Mine was very meh. I started a whole bunch of different books this month, but only finished 3 of them, and 2 novellas as well. *Gallant* is the only physical book I read, the rest were ebooks and audiobooks. I really enjoyed them all though! And I’m hoping to finish one more book today, but I’m not sure if I will have time to or not. We shall see! What about you guys? How was your reading month??
