Today to share some of the books I am looking forward to reading this year. I have had some of these books for a few years, and others have been recent purchases, but all of these are books I really want to get through this year.
Some standouts:
1. The Secret History; my most recent read. This is one book I picked up because it seemed like this cult classic, especially over on Tumblr. I must say, it definitely lived up to the hype.
2. Winter in Sokcho; a book I picked up last year because I thought the cover was pretty
3. The Smell of Starving Boys; A book I picked up from @gaystheword 3 years ago. I’ve been wanted to read it ever since, but the mood never seemed to be right?
4. The Priory of the Orange Tree; this book comes highly recommended by a lot of my friends, and it’s one of 3 chunky books I want to get through this year.
#tbr A month ago I was feeling pessimistic about my ability to reach my reading goal for the year. I have more free time in my schedule since then, however, and am looking forward to a kit of reading in the coming weeks. . This month I actually put together a TBR, so I can eliminate the guessing stage between books. (At least physical books,. I’ll still have to debate myself when it comes to ebooks). This TBR is largely based around a promise I made to read Words of Radiance before May, and I’m going to keep it. . Today I started reading Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers, and it’s already delightful. . Happy Tuesday, Bookworms! Did you know that this week is National Library Week?? It is! Even though I have my own little library, I still use the library a LOT, and am a member at a few different ones in my area. They are ALL Amazing! I don’t visit much in person lately, but I do check out their online content all the time. (Seriously, ALL the time.) They are so great, and so appreciated! I love the library so much. Do you guys ever use the library??

Happy April, Bookworms! (But seriously, HOW is it April?) Are there any exciting books that you’re hoping to read this month?? I am hoping to tackle the stack above … along with books from last month’s TBR, and the month before that, and the month before that … ♀️ I am so behind. I definitely want to catch up. I *plan* to get to most of these books this month, but a few are hopefuls. Like, I’m hoping to get to Crescent City 2, if I can finish book 1. We shall see. Hopefully it will be a good month.
