Wait no, to make up for my dark Kriselle post here’s a funny thought I had:

Noelle: I like… scary stuff.

Kris: I would literally keep scaring you when we were kids, does this mean you like me?

Noelle: Uh… no.

Kris: … Ok.

*cut to a montage of Kris bringing back their scare pranks, asking her after each one, “Do you like me now? How bout now?”*

And just for funsies, imagine a scenario where she catches them setting up their next scare, and she finds a way to beat them to it, succeeding in making them jump, but their flailing away knocks over something she was standing on and she lands on top of them. Awkward pose that has their faces too close. She runs away apologizing, face beet red and in the middle of the night, thinks to herself, still flustered:

“That was tooscary!”

Kris: Do you think different paints have different tastes?

Susie: They do.

Noelle: …Why did you say that with such certainty?

Kris: Ooh, somebody has a crush.

Susie: Pfft, I don’t have a crush on Noelle. I just think she’s cool. It’s not like I stay up at night thinking about her.

[Later that night]

Susie, very much awake:Uh-oh.

Berdly: *sleeping after pulling an all-nighter the previous night*

Noelle: Wow…he actually looks really peaceful…

Susie, pulling out a Sharpie: And vulnerable.

Noelle: What are you looking at?

Susie: *was in the middle of entering hers and Noelle’s names into an online love calculator*

Susie, panicking:SMUT—

Noelle: Don’t break someone’s heart. They only have one of those.

Susie: Break their bones! They have 206 of those.

The car scene:

ok so we got the berdly+noelle replacing susie+kris in my fic monsters of legend (go read it its on ao3 aha) where thats the only roleswap and its brought on simply by alphys sending them to retrieve chalk for her instead of the susie+kris duo… but its also fun to think of OTHER possible combos replacing the susie+kris like-

noelle + susie is rlly fun bc ralsei feels like the third wheel the whole time but he encourages noelle and susie both and tries to get them to confess to each other already. They just get along and are generally kinda sweet and nice friends. 

I call them the Icy Hearts trio bc 1. its a cool name. but also 2. noelle and susie crush on each other cmon but also ralsei has that heart on his dress and also they ALL learn how to use healing magic and also one could say that before she opened up susie gave people the cold shoulder aha. 

But yeah theyre cool and they take care of each other and stuff. Perhaps not as exciting as other friendship trios and stuff, but they’ve got a stable friendship going on and do lots of fun things together. I can imagine them baking together and stuff. AND ALSO PLEASE LIKE. maybe noelle could actually convince susie to play nice and prevent her from switching to the villain’s side, or just. idk man but either way their journey would be fun !! maybe just for funsies u could have noelle and susie put in a jail cell together so they can talk things out while ralsei rescues them, or ralsei and susie with him encouraging her to open up and talk to noelle about her feelings or just sdthgstdrhrsh theres a lot of fun possibilities !!

berdly + susie Im not quite sure what to call these guys when theyre with ralsei tbh. i considered the gamer gang but i feel that’d be what we could call berdly, susie, ralsei, noelle & kris all together?? maybe?? idk but um name ideas appreciated lmao

anyways yeah berdly and susie are really fun because there’d be a ton of friction with them hating each other and there being a heroic and villainous rivalry between the two. This goes on for a while at the start and progress is hard with Ralsei having to stop the two from fighting before they bring out their weapons. Unfortunately for him, the two tend to ignore Ralsei in the beginning. 

Once they start to grow on each other though, they could be pretty nice friends! For one, theyre both gamers and i can imagine they’d go nuts when ralsei turns to them and asks “whats a video game?” and theyd all play video games together and get super competitive. 

also once we sort out berdlys whole ‘crush’ misunderstanding thing with noelle and he learns that susie likes her we could also have berdly being susie’s wing-man and setting her up with noelle. He tells ralsei and the two team up against her to hype her up and encourage her to do it and try to give her advice.

anyways um yeah yall should think abt roleswaps more and think of the possible dynamics, friendships and character interactions that could come from them. <3

rough concept of what i think the thorn ring looks like :>

aside from the fact that noelle spent a good majority of her time being ordered to freeze enemies, and get the freeze ring presumably with force, i think the idea of the thorn ring in particular being agonizing and twisted on helps to represent it as especially serious. it would be painful and wouldn’t be able to be taken off very easily and i feel that amplifies how significant of a situation it is, where she’s inflicting even greater pain and pressure on herself to become stronger

i think i may change the color that i made it, make it more blue/grey rather than teal, but i think this is a good start for what i want to go with

My two cents on the Deltarune Angel’s Heaven theory

Hunch based on the fact that:

1) In the Weird Route, when selling the ThornRing, Spamton addresses either Kris or Noelle as “Angel”

2) According to Ralsei’s prophecy, the heroes’ task, other than sealing the fountains, is to banish the Angel’s Heaven

3) Before his normal fight, Spamton describes “freedom” to Kris, approximatively, as “rising and staring right into Heaven” (and during most of that sentence he’s looking up and straight at the fourth wall)

4) He also says “Are you watching, Heaven?” at the end of his fight if his wires are cut (looking at the fourth wall, again)

My hypothesis is:

The Angel is Kris, Heaven is the Players’ influence on them (and any other character, if the Snowgrave route is chosen). “Angel’s Heaven” can be considered “banished” when one reaches the end of the game and has no more control over its events.
