The cruelest joke marvel have ever played was getting Tom Hiddleston to do promo for infinity war when Loki’s one of the first characters to die and we only see him for like 10 minuets.
The more I think about it, the more I actually like the fact that Thanos killed off Gamora.
She’s obviously trapped in the soul stone so she’s going to be instrumental to overcoming Thanos, and while they exploited it for a little bit of ‘man pain’ (Peter Quill), they made sure to kill off Peter, which actually really reassured me that they’re not going to go down the ‘girl dies to motivate man to save everyone’ plot, because, well, he’s dead too. And not necessarily soul-stone dead (as Marvel keep telling us, they’re ‘really’ dead). I’m guessing the snap-killed characters aren’t going to have big - if any roles - in A4, which is why they were so major in IW, to give them limelight while also allowing Marvel to make space for other characters.
But you know who they have left alive? Nebula. And if you know anything about the comics, she’s important.
So I’m thinking, you have Thanos’ two daughters in prime positions to work against what he’s done. One is alive and tech-based (like the other survivors - Tony, Shuri, Rocket, Bruce), and the other seems to have a powerful spiritual connection to him and is herself connected to an infinity stone.
Couple that with their separate positions on the original infinity war posters (not with the rest of the Guardians) and I’m thinking the two sisters are going to have a massive influence over what happens to Thanos.
And to be honest, I’m freaking here for it.
I love Steve and Tony and the other Avengers (and they’re almost certainly going to have a bigger role than in A4, even if it’s still very supportive of the newer Avengers coming up), but if there’s one group of people who deserve to be front-and-centre in a Thanos take-down, it’s got to be the sisters, Gamora and Nebula.
Bring on A4.
I really hope it comes down to something like this because FUCK ME if Gamora’s death only ends up being for dramatic effect and man pain - she deserved so much better!

My most unpopular ASOIAF opinion is probably that Viserys II deserved better. He was kept hostage and forced by his captors to marry at like eleven (if not younger) and had his first kid at thirteen.
