So yeah, I was the victim of a love cyber fraud this last summer which cost me quite a bit thank you. I share my story to Mehdi hoping to raise awareness about this kind of fraud.
Do your research: tell yourself that if it looks too good, it’s probably a scam! I’m glad to see that there are fraudsters who do get caught. I can finally turn the page on this dark period of my life!

At that time, this marked my 20th day of shooting already this year. I’m now at 40! I’m grateful for every opportunity given to me; I’m living my absolute best life at the moment!

TWICE-Nayeon
TWICE x ONCE DAY Filming!
I think one of the (many, many, many) things that bothers me about the MCU and Disney’s Star Wars series, and, if I wanted to be extra bold, one of the things that fundamentally makes them bankrupt and vapid as art, is that there is not, and cannot be any ending.
Like, it is an understandable impulse to get to the end of a really good movie, or show, or video game, or book, or play, or whatever and want more. I understand that impulse completely and I don’t want to vilify it so I’m going to start there. Nor do I think that all sequel, or prequels, or expanded universes are fundamentally “bad” or unenjoyable or anything like that.
But art still needs an ending. A time when you walk away, and do something else. You cannot devote the entirety of your life to one piece of media. And good artists know this and work with it. Give arcs to character. Foreshadow the end from the beginning. They make sure that the ending is bittersweet, or happy, or sad, or challenging, or heartwarming, or, in whatever way, delivers on the tone and themes of their work in a satisfying manner.
And the MCU? What’s it building towards? How can they give an ending to their dozens of characters? What is the big thesis message they want to hit home at the end? The Star Wars series, what’s its arc? What will the last shot of it be, and how will that reflect all we’ve seen and learned and grown?
The answer is of course that it won’t. Someday there will be a last MCU movie. Someday there will be a last Star Wars movie. This is inevitable because Disney, and capitalism, and our planet, and our species, are all not immortal and immutable. But no one is planing for that ending. No one is reflecting on how to make it satisfying. They just want to prolong it as long as possible, to make as much money as possible, and it’s exhausting.
And what do you do with that? Star Wars had a pretty satisfying ending (not the MCU cause it was from the ground up designed to be indefinitely prolonged) so watch that. We’ve had it for nearly four decades now. Or better yet watch something else. It is nice to watch something familiar, yes, I understand that. Our brains like familiar things. But please, watch something else. Let Star Wars, and the MCUs unremarkable, uneventful, pathetic ends come sooner rather than later. Move on.
On the one hand, I’m a franchise guy. You slap a franchise name on something, and I will keep going to see movies with that branding until the heat death of the universe.
On the other hand, this makes a good point.
