Good but very tiring stim: I bought and made food for my local free fridge!!! (A place for anyone who needs it can get food and other essentials). It was very tiring to cook a lot of food but I’m happy to share and feed those in my community. Also I got to eat some of the yummy food myself!
Okay so my favorite thing about this that kinda gets lost in translation is that the word ガーリックトースト is read as “gaarikku tousuto” which means the final お is just an extension of the last sound
*lemony snicket voice* police cars say ‘protect and serve’ for the same reason a box of dry, unflavoured rice cakes might say ‘delicious treat’. rice cakes are not a delicious treat, nor are the police there to protect and serve, but if you are unfamiliar with either you’re likely to believe what you’re told.
This time of year is always very nostalgic for me bc I used to be the Token Gentile at an office and every few months there’d be a Jewish holiday and my friend would be like “Hey, I need you to do Gentile things for us” and I’d be like hell yes dude. Gentile Things often meant I’d sign things in exchange for a few dollars on venmo but Pesach was a special time for me because it meant everyone gave me boxes of pasta, cereal, and other baked goods. The first time my friends were like “Hey for reasons we won’t bother getting into we’re going to give you all of our bread” I was like, it is a powerful responsibility but as an Ally I cannot refuse. Best time of the year, frankly
