When you’d arrived at the hospital in Georgia just hours after getting that haunting call, Penelope had hugged you and promised they’d all be there for him. JJ had apologized for ever letting him get hurt—to which you repeatedly assured her it was no one’s fault but the bastard who’d taken your boyfriend. Derek Morgan had sat with you in that tiny waiting room while Spencer slept off dying.
