*UPDATED ON 5/20/20*
During this coronavirus crisis and global quarantine, retailers of all stripes are being hit hard. We wanted to share some ways you can stock up on reading material for isolation and help keep your neighborhood bookstore afloat.
(This is not a comprehensive list, and you should look up your local bookstore to see their delivery/pickup options. Of course, ebooks can be read without leaving the home. And if you have enough books at home but still would like to support a bookstore, gift cards can often be purchased and given out for later birthdays or holidays.)

Gentlemen! Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose! It can’t be dangling from your mustache, cradling your chin like a tiny goatee hammock, or looped around your wrist like a loose shackle proving you’ve broken free from the fetters of the medical establishment’s recommendations. Nor does it count if you wear it appropriately while silently browsing then take it off to ask a question at close range. The sign on the door says “masks please” and that means WEAR IT, dude! If we get sick, the shop shuts down! I’m so fed up with the unmasked browsers of book row that I got my dear friend (and famous mask artist) Amanda Walker to alter the cover of this Pan paperback to get the point across.
Mask up! It’s no mystery that it does not require any Herculean effort!! (forgive me, Agatha, but I could not resist.)
