Why don’t people want to talk about Jimmy Fallon donning blackface to imitate and mock Chris Rock and Jimmy Kimmel donning blackface to imitate and mock Karl Malone?

If you consider yourself a progressive in any capacity, it is your moral obligation to counter fascism in any way you can.

It’s absolutely disgraceful that we live in a time where voting for milquetoast liberals is legitimate anti-fascist action. But it is.

MAGA not the fringe. That is the Republican Party. White supremacy and anti-queer bigotry is the norm now. It IS the mainstream. The anti-trans rhetoric they engage in is deliberate. They call queer people pedophiles and groomers because they want you to die. They want you to be affectively dehumanized so they can strip everything from you. They call abortion murder because they want women to be helpless. They called George Floyd a thug and a druggie, because needless suffering by POC cannot be sympathized with.

The buffalo shooter was not a lone wolf and he was not an isolated incident. The shit in his manifesto is shit spewed on Fox News.

Fascism should be in your every day vocabulary. That is what binds the GOP platform. Do not delude yourself into believing that it can’t happen here. It can, it IS, and now is the time to ACT.

IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE, REGISTER. REGISTER RIGHT NOW. REGISTER AS A DEMOCRAT SO YOU CAN VOTE IN PRIMARIES.

VOTE FOR CANDIDATES THAT ARE PRO CHOICE, PRO UNION, PRO EQUALITY.

Don’t be lazy if you live in a blue state, and don’t be discouraged if you live in the red. California used to be a Republican stronghold, and every election cycle, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama get a little bluer. Never get complacent, never be hopeless. Inaction is pro-fascist, always.

Anti-voting rhetoric will be the death of the left. Literally.

Not a single fucking Republican voted to protect roe. It was fucking overturned in the first place bc trump got three Supreme Court appointments.

Every fucking thing wrong in this country is almost certainly the result of Republicans being in power. In 2020, Texas cut half of the polling places in black neighborhoods, and doubled them in white ones, regardless of population. It was Republicans bitching about mail in voting, and constantly, constantlyfearmonger about voter fraud. Literally, their platform is about making civil rights harder to practice.

Would you like to know why? It’s because Republican politicians know better than anyone that higher voter participation means higher republican loss.

But what do I see from the online left, champions of the oppressed?

“Voting doesn’t do anything, the parties are the same, the system is rigged, etc, etc”

Don’t sit here and tell me you give a fuck about marginalized people if you aren’t ready to march your ass to the voting booth and vote out the party actively stripping their rights away.

Protest, donate, community build, unionize, and vote, vote, vote.

By the time direct action is the only option, it will be too fucking late.

I almost never talk about politics, but this goes far beyond a political party because like it or not everyone in the U.S is affected by this.

I think this bill brings shame to our country and does not protect the citizens that depend and look up to their leaders for guidance. This bill is basically saying:

If you’re a young and healthy individual that has never been pregnant, had an abortion, C-section, delivered a baby you don’t have to pay extra and have better benefits, but at the moment you become pregnant, a victim of rape or abuse you will get an increase in your premiums and benefits taken away, because it is your fault! Also if you’re old, sick, or have had something deemed “pre-existent”, you will have to pay more because it’s not our fault, it is yours! If you’re poor, well it’s your fault and you have to pay more because you’re poor and you don’t make enough money to afford better healthcare or your basic needs.

This bill like it or not protects insurance companies and the rich. It is not a crime to be rich, but you also shouldn’t punish the poor when they already have it hard enough.

The GOP should stop pushing for something that will only benefit them or their ego.

I am ashamed of the country that I am living in because this isn’t good, it will be like commuting murder, you know how? Because you’re neglecting people of the medical care they need to have a better quality and longer life.

You are not a good Democrat or Republican if you:

Insult and belittle people because of their skin color

Make fun of others appearances (ive seen this more with my own party which is disgusting. Republicans, get a grip)

Insult other people to raise others up

Call for violence on innocent people jut because you don’t like them/are on the opposing side

Calling for death upon people for the same reasons

Wishing rape and assault on those for the same reasons.

“I am a Republican man so some (false) stereotypes might suggest that I cannot also be a feminist, but I thoroughly support the idea of equal opportunity for all women. The term feminist has picked up ‘radical’ connotations in the past, but to me equality isn’t radical.”

Doug Mastriano, the far-right state senator who attended the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection and has been at the center of efforts to overturn the fair results of the 2020 presidential election, won the Republican primary for governor in Pennsylvania on Tuesday — raising the prospect of an insurrectionist being governor of a key battleground state for the 2024 presidential contest.

Mastriano led the nine-person field with just over 40% of the vote on Tuesday when NBC News and The Associated Press called the race. He was beating his closest opponent, former U.S. Congressman Lou Barletta, by almost 20 points.

This is a frightening development.

She’s actively trying to block Biden’s proposed bill that would make price gouging gasoline illegal and then she turns around and blames Biden.

But what else would we expect from the party that wondered why Obama wasn’t in the white house on 9/11?

They really do act like this though.

“I’m going to buy the most gas guzzling car I can buy and blame Biden when I have to pay $100 to fill it because I don’t believe in climate change! I also buy the light bulbs that cost more and dies out quicker because buying the energy saving ones is better for the environment. Are you triggered?!”

Torturing yourself to trigger the libs I guess?

(The website doesn’t seem to exist anymore, but this is from the same person who made the “and yet you live in society! Curious!” comic.)

1. Since you want to talk about facts, Biden introduced a bill that would make it illegal for gas companies to gouge the prices that no republicans voted for. Gas companies took advantage of us banning gas trades from Russia (which we got less than 5% of from) and raised the price of gas further than what it’s worth.

2. Gas was so cheap under Trump during the last year of his presidency because nobody was driving since there’s a pandemic that started that year. Have you heard of “supply and demand?”
