okay now that I’ve caught your attention oh Kylo Cosplayers, I wouldn’t mind an ounce of your help.
I’m saving up for fabric to make a Kylo Ren cosplay, and I’ve got the fabric for the undershirt, the belt, got the wig on pre-order all that fun stuff but I’m still stuck on what kind of fabric to use for the main body of the cloak and hood… if anyone had an idea, dude that would be the best help ever.
At Katsucon @mysterdote and I did a quick TROS Rey and Ben Solo photoshoot with MindFall Media and I am just bouncing off the walls happy with how amazing he made us look! After SDCC got canceled and we’re pretty sure Celebration isn’t in the cards anymore either, Pat Loika and I were bummed that it would likely be next year before we would get to shoot…So he got permission from the original photographer to do this edit, and I am so happy and blown away!

Guys I’m doing a thing! I tried sewing for the very first time last weekend, made this mockup of Rey’s vest (from the final scene of The Force Awakens) from a pattern I drew myself. The front panels need to go further in, I don’t have the shoulder pads attached in these pics, and I think the waist line should be a bit higher up, but overall I am pleased with my first attempt. :) Ready to go out and get the unfortunately expensive grey wool fabric for the real thing. Any tips from the sewing/cosplay side of tumblr would be much appreciated!

Every so often I buy fabric for a costume and then remember that it’s scaled to a 6'3 man so the proportions would look hilariously bad on me, but the fabric is so character specific that I’d be hard pressed to find another use.
