hello! firstly, I’d like to thank you for making this blog. it’s been really helpful in understanding mbti theory and taking steps to improve myself. i do have 2 questions though:
I’m glad you find my blog helpful, thanks for saying so.
1) is it possible that a person still undergoes tertiary loop in their mid-40s? i have seen evidence of si-ti loop in my mother, but can’t really reconcile that with the fact that she should’ve probably dealt with this earlier. and i don’t think she’s always been in the loop (as far as i remember, anyways), but has only gotten into it within the last 2 years.
It is more common than uncommon for people to get developmentally stuck. Type development is a very personal or individual process, so, in that sense, there is no “should’ve”. This is explained in the Type Dev Guide, please review it. Every individual is at a different point in development based on their unique circumstances. Anyone can misuse their functions at any time of life for a variety of reasons. If she only started within the last two years, it would be important to understand what circumstances or stressors might have prompted it.
2) i have noticed in myself (an infp) that i tend to re-read books/ re-watch movies that i liked in the past multiple times, usually when I’m feeling a bit out of sorts or stressed. a celebrity that i have been trying to type said the same thing about themself— that they like re-watching a specific movie when they’re tired/stressed. i thought that this was an obvious indication of si-tertiary, and that they were also an infp (using other clues about their type, too, of course). however, most other people say that that person is an enfp. (nobody else has typed them as infp). i just wanted to know if my understanding of that specific behaviour being an indication of si-tert was correct or not.
I should probably explain why i think that is si-tert. tertiary functions are usually used as a psychological defense to stress. fi-si tends to make a person look to previous sources of comfort in hopes of gaining the same comfort again, usually leading to the person staying in stale comfort zones. what i think is, basically, that a person can also seek comfort in fictional stories (books and movies) that they liked in the past. again, I’m not 100% sure about this, it’s just what I’ve noticed in myself. thank you in advance :)
It is incorrect. The problem is that you haven’t understood the difference between cognition and behavior (as well as the fact that the two do not have a perfect 1:1 relationship). Taking your example: Si prompts people to revisit things of their past. This is generally true of Si, so this fact alone is not enough information to tell you the stack position of Si. To identify stack position, you cannot only focus on the behavior (the “what”), you must go far deeper than that to understand the underlying cognitive reasons (the “whys”). The set of reasons for why tertiary Si revisits the past is different from inferior Si (… is different from dominant Si … is different from auxiliary Si). The functional stack positions are covered in the Function Theory Guide.
Until you’ve understood the exact underlying cognitive reasons behind the behavior, the most you can claim is that Si is probablyin there… somewhere. I say “probably” because this one detail alone isn’t even enough to prove Si, since other functions like Ni may also prompt someone to revisit the past, but for very different reasons. You would also need to accumulate more evidence of Si cognition that specifically rules out Ni cognition.
In short: Don’t judge a book by its cover. You have to understand exactly why someone is doing what they’re doing, rather than just assuming that they’re doing it for the same reason as you.

Okay, so I know people do theories all the time, and everybody is probably sick of hearing/reading them, but I thought I’d share mine.
Alright, so basically, Mx are, well, a clan. All 7 members took an oath (hence their teasers) and vowed to be loyal and faithful to the team and be “all in”/invested in the team.
To begin, the flower. The flower is a big part of the plot. I believe the flower is supposed to be Delphinium or Larkspur (thanks imbangnzelo for making the flower really make sense/go read her post to find out more). Basically, the plants contain toxins which can cause severe sickness and/or death, as well, the plants have cardiotoxic and neuromuscular blocking effects, which to put simply means they are a very high pain killer. And an added part is that these flowers have specific symbolism in what they mean. A few meanings are “striving for your goals”, “new opportunities”, “protection against danger”, “to be open to new emotions”, “enjoying life, no matter the circumstance”, and “celebrating positivity”. All of these, which the music video depicts very well.
My first assumption is that each member has their own take on the flower (that one of the meanings I’ve just stated, is applied to each member). Each meaning is quite positive, so I think that once they use the poison it shows that their meaning/views are gone.
- Striving for goals : Kihyun (why: his goals are to walk again)
- New opportunities : Jooheon (why: robbing? And giving Shownu the money, he took the opportuninty)
- Protection against danger : IM or Wonho
- To be open to new emotions : Minhyuk and Hyungwon (why: their “love” for one another)
- Enjoying life, no matter the circumstance : Shownu (why: his ill and betraying grandfather, he tries to still enjoy what he has even in a hard time)
- Celebrating positivity : IM or Wonho
(sorry, IM and Wonho don’t really have much of a plot on their own…)
Okay, onto the plot.
// forget the first scene for now //
In the video we see the group of them go up to the police, this is where Hyungwon gives one of the poison flowers to a cop. I believe this is a sign of mercy, Hyungwon knows what they are about to do, but hands this to the cop as if saying “here this will rid your pain”. We then see a older man (the same man I believe is in the bed/in Shownu’s scene/Shownu’s grandfather) go up to the group of them with a question and almost angry expression. I think that this man (Shownu’s grandfather) put the group together, and although they don’t know it, it’s to have them do his dirty work for him. Pretty much, the man is their boss. Anyways, his grandfather looks as if he’s questioned something, which I think is “which one of you did it?” referring to the toxic flower being given to a police officer. I think this because, Hyungwon then stands up as if he answer that it was him and to defend his actions. The man then begins hitting/beating Hyungwon, why? Because Hyungwon could have blown their “cover” by giving the flower.
Help: the scene at Jooheon’s rap is where they are boiling down the flowers and making them into a drink/poison, one that they can take to rid themselves of any pain they may feel at that very moment.
We then see Minhyuk in the room with Hyungwon where he removes his mask revealing a beaten and bruised face. I believe those injuries were also from “Shownu’s grandfather”. Minhyuk leaves the room with the mask in a quite angry manner, (yes it show Shownu before this but some of the scenes to keep people hooked are out of order) this is where I think Minhyuk goes to yell/scold Shownu for his grandfather’s doings (because he can’t talk to the man, since the man is sick). I think this because we see Shownu sitting with his grandfather, holding the same mask Hyungwon was wearing. I believe Shownu feels a tremendous amount of betrayal. (yes others have those same masks, this mask could also be Shownu’s which they all wear them when doing what his grandfather demands, but either way~).
The next scene is when we see Jooheon giving a bag to Shownu, the bag containing money. Shownu then heads to the jail cell where his weak/unhealthy grandfather is, with the money in hand. I believe this money is bail money for his grandfather. Shownu then stands at the glass and demands answers from his grandfather for what is going on. (I think his grandfather is still in the room, because two guards still remain when Shownu arrives). I think Shownu’s grandfather admits to what was truly happening and how he was using the members to his advantage/do his dirty work. Shownu, after hearing this decides not to bail his grandfather out, and let him be executed, (Shownu vowed to stay on his friend’s side/be loyal to the clan). I think his grandfather is executed because we see two officers dragging a man out, a struggling man, but struggling not to get away but just in general having troubles, therefore an unhealthy man, his grandfather. It is because of this, that Shownu is first to take his life. He places the flower down on his grandfather’s clothes as symbolism, almost an apology. He then burns the bail money and drinks the poison himself, taking his own life, instead of facing his members.
Then we have Minhyuk and Hyungwon. Hyungwon lay already dead in a bathtub, that he had already drank his portion of the poison to rid the pain he felt. (obviously there is something going on between the two). Minhyuk pours his portion into the tub before climbing in and laying beside Hyungwon. Minhyuk drowns himself which is why we see his hand still grab/tighten on Hyungwon’s hand (it was not a quick death).
I haven’t really put much thought into the others, considering the main points are with Shownu, Minhyuk and Hyungwon. But simply for the others is that they are rioting like the old man had insisted. Kihyun who is shown injured proves the flower method, by dropping his crutches and beginning to walk perfectly and even run with no pain.
At the end we see them all dressed in white, which I think is representing the fact they are all dead, and have killed themselves using the flowers. They are seen looking into the sky and at large “weird” object. I think the object is a heart, with the way it’s moving and it’s simplified appearance. The reason for this is that the flower’s toxins affect your heart.
I believe the video depicts them as dead to show that covering the pain (with poison/killing yourselves) is not a way to get rid of it, because they are still seen doing similar acts to what they were before. They also are shown to still be struggling and feeling pain which is a big clue to that.
The first scene is also when they are dead, that is before the music video goes back in time to show how they ended up there. I think it shows Hyungwon in pain to prove that no matter what pain with still exist. It shows him eating the flower to show that things haven’t changed for them.
Yes there are things to do with youth, and what not, but I won’t go into too much detail on that. I believe that each member only feel pain, the pain that causes them to use their poison once their youth/innocence is taken from them. Example one, is with Hyungwon and the flower. He innocently gives it to the officer but it was his innocent (youth) actions that made him a target, therefore, the hit striped him of his youth, it wasn’t until then that he felt pain. We also have Shownu who is innocently sitting by his grandfather’s bedside, when he realizes the betrayal, that’s when the pain starts (where his youth is beginning to be taken), but it truly comes and is taken when he finds out the truth, which he promptly “gives up”.
(Shownu also has something in a cloth when he runs up to the glass and is looking through it, but I can’t exactly figure out what… part of me wants to say it’s a gun and that he is threatening his grandfather to tell him, I don’t think he shoots him, one, because of the glass. two, I think it’s a threat… but I’m not 100% sure on that…)
… sorry if I wrote a lot about Shownu’s plot… he’s my bias and I think I “naturally” end up paying more attention to his parts… O.o lol oops.
Obviously this is just my guess and take on the music video, but I thought I’d share~
The security footage is from the future! We already know we’re dealing with time travel shenanigans. The video was labeled 220808, that means August 8th of this year. Sam and Woods don’t recognize their clothing in the video because they don’t have it yet. They don’t have any memory of their interaction with Scott because they haven’t done it yet.
My theory is that he could possibly be aromantic and asexual but my main focus is on aromantic orientation and how Dan connects with it.
LESSON TIME
Asexual: Lack of sexual attraction towards people
Aromantic: lack of romantic attraction towards people.
(Asexuals can be aromantic or have a romantic preference. Aromantics can be asexual or have a sexual preference.)
- Aromantics can enjoy hugs, kissing, and cuddles but just show no interest in a romantic relationship. Although, there aromantics who don’t want any kind of intimacy at all.
- Aromantics don’t get romantic crushes but they can develop platonic crushes called Squishes .
- Aromantics can still find people beautiful and that can sometimes lead them to wanting a friendship with that person they find themselves aesthetically attracted to. This can sometimes confuse aromantics and lead them to believe that because they find a person beautiful and want to get to know them (and possibly cuddle with them) that they want something romantic with them.
- When aromantics get squishes they can get butterflies from being nervous to hang out or talk with their squish. Which can also lead to confusion on trying to differentiate whether their attraction towards the person is romantic or platonic.
NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL DETAILS BUT STILL IMPORTANT:
- Now what I have noticed is that he makes small vague references of love in his songs(that’ s not really a big deal because people have diverse interests and he has stated before in some interview that love songs aren’t his thing to write about) *Yet I don’t want to rule this out completely*
- He had said in another interview that he had gone on a date and got drunk because of how nervous he was. *Review: Aromantics can get nervous around their squish* (interview took place in the earlier years of Bastille)
- I read somewhere in an interview that it was a girlfriend who submitted him into the contest. (This interview took place when Bastille was barely starting) I can’t find the interview or any other interview where he makes a reference to the friend as “a girlfriend” instead he then on and still does just says “friend”. He has never referenced an ex ever again, after that interview nor has he talked about a love interest. Yes, it’s also none of our business but again, can’t rule that out!
KEY DETAILS:
- Dan publicly doesn’t show any interest in romance at all especially his own love life which seems to not exists. (Yeah, it’s none of our business but still it’s important to the theory.) Glory orThings we lost in the fire video is not a good example of an argument to use to say that “he can not possibly be aromantic because in the music videos he had a love interest.” If you do believe that though, my response is this…They were only music videos where they both had to act.
2.Dan kissing someone does not mean he is interested in romance
*Keep in mind that aromantics and asexuals as well can still enjoy being kissed (plus he could have been drunk here) so either way the kiss does not mean anything really
3. I found this theory rather interesting and the fact that I’m not alone on this-makes it 10 times more exciting to talk about. CLICK ME orME
If you have any opinions, different or not please share. I would like to hear them all! Also, I know I could possibly be missing some more information about this theory(whether the information is for it or not) so if you have any information you would like me to add on, please message me :)
If any of you have the links to the interviews that I refer to, please share them with me so that I can add them on here.
Please keep in mind this is just a theoryand that I could be wrong. SO PLEASE DO NOT TAKE SO SERIOUSLY. Do NOT take this out of context and assume that I’m trying to make this a fact when I’m not because again this evidence can just mean something else. Do NOT harass him by tagging him or messaging him or anyone he knows to see if he is. If he isn’t, he isn’t and if he is, he is. He doesn’t have to tell us either. Though there are some people who find this just as interesting and so this is for them as much as it is for me. If you don’t like it then just scroll down and go on about your day. Hope you ALL have a good one x
Thanks for reading! x
Avatar: The Last Airbender and the post apocalypse theory
A little disclaimer: a theory is a theory, defined as an idea that is suggested or presented as possibly true but that is not known or proven to be true. Nothing is being confirmed and should be interpreted as a confirmation. This is just my summary of the fan theory I discovered along with my thoughts on it. (Here’s the source of this theory) source: Nickelodeon We all know Avatar: The Last…
I didn’t really want to cry today, but here we are Lol :’)
So we all know that Rian’s mom Shoni doesn’t make an appearance in the series and there is a possibility that she won’t make an appearance in the future.
I have seen a lot of head canons as to what might have happened to her and this is just my addition to those head canons. I think that it’s possible that Shoni might have died while giving birth Rian/ or she died shortly after he was born, this could explain her absence as well as the absence of Rian’s younger siblings. I’m probably not the only person who has thought of this but that’s okay.
I wrote the lyrics from “Dear Theodosia Reprise” to add more effect.
STEVEN UNIVERSE MOVIE
ok how can you not believe this villain has some strong af connection with PD? I mean look at all this fcking pink y'all
we sure know that in this show nothing is pink just because
i’m not quite sure about the “PINK DIAMOND REPLACEMENT GEM THEORY” although it would we so fcking cool, but this is sure as hell totally PD related
now, as much as I hope it is, I also hope that the crewniverse has a good explanation for this bc all the identity drama has already been closed, and it would be weird to just bring it up out of nowhere putting our grown up baby on the line again
but anyways i’m sure i’m gonna love it whatever it is about because i’m a total steven universe trash
no one’s been talking about this and I really think is very important so here, take a look at it
Can y’all imagine the RELIEF we’ll feel once we listen to Escapism for the 1st time?
we’ve known about this song for a long ass time even longer that we’ve known about That Distant Shore and THAT WAS STILL A LONG ASS TIME oof i’m so excited
Since everything in this fricking show is about parallelisms then WD is a fcking fusion how’s that
“Garnet? Does that call herself a ‘Garnet’?”
imagine (hopefully) after her redemption, BD talking to Garnet and actually referring to her as Garnet?
“Garnet, watch out!”
“Hello, Garnet”
“What about Garnet?”
wd spoilers and i’m living 4it
everyone pictured her as a woman in her late 40s but she actually is a ray of light in her early 20s
Most of Barthes I find quite accessible: he uses imagery and I can understand. But right now, there is a sentence in “Soap-Powders and Detergents” that I have read FOUR TIMES and cannot understand.
Barthes, you’re making me crazy.

What if Nate is a victim abuse? Because why did he have a nightmare of his dad on top of him in the motel? This would prolly make sense, because Nate’s mom mentioned that after he turned a certain age, he became really dark. Maybe he became dark after seeing his father’s tapes, or maybe he was abused by his dad. Maybe that’s the reason? I’m in no way trying to condone his behavior, but think about it. Why would Nate have a nightmare of his dad abusing him in that way if it didn’t happen to him? Ever when I watched season one I always wondered if Nate was a victim of s*xual abuse, I just got that vibe from their relationship. The scene in season one where Nate fought his dad and he broke down crying and banging his head made me feel like he was mad about something else and not just football. When you rewatch that scene, notice how Nate started crying when his dad was on top of him. He kept saying “get off me.” And maybe Nate started crying because looking back at his reaction in the mirror reminded him of taped his dad had. Idk man. Maybe im over thinking things and it’s not that deep, but I always got the vibe that Nate’s dad did something to him as a child.
I feel like that painting reference has a deeper meaning and symbolism for something but I can’t piece it together. But Nate’ trauma with his dad and why he doesn’t like him probably goes a lot deeper.
Aqua as a Xehanort vessel/member of the True Organization was a big surprise, but this was actually foreshadowed all the way back in 3D! Recall what Master Xehanort said at the finale of Dream Drop Distance: “But Sora and another on your list belong to me now.” He wasn’t referring to Terra; he was referring to Aqua!
Aqua being in trouble was already implied in earlier trailers (specifically the one where Sora finds the Master’s Defender, with no wielder, on the beach). At the time, we thought the worst that could have happened was that she was Killed Off for Real. Now we know there are worse possibilities that we had ruled out. Additionally, we may know why Xehanort would possess Aqua: she made herself a target by telling Terranort she knew how to get to Ven in 0.2. Since Xemnas’ brute force attempts to get through Castle Oblivion had failed, the next logical step (given Xehanort’s abilities) would be to possess its creator and get her to open it for him.
Even further back, when Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep was first released, one may recall what Vanitas said after his first battle with Aqua.
Vanitas: “Never hurts to have a backup…”
Even better (or worse), the opening to Birth by Sleep in the HD 2.5 rerelease was actually altered to mute Aqua’s hair colour to be more grey, and with this revelation, it had to have been deliberate. It was Foreshadowing in something that you wouldn’t think twice about.
It was foreshadowed in DDD with the reveal of the Recusant’s Sigil. We saw it with Terra, but we thought Aqua was safe, because Eraqus’s symbol broke it. But what was staring us in the face as she moved around onscreen? The one on her back. And when brute force didn’t work against Aqua, what did Vanitas do, again?
Additionally, what if Sora finding the Master’s Defender on the beach was due to Aqua realizing Xehanort’s intent and as a last, desperate defense, flinging the key to Castle Oblivion’s lock as far away from her as possible? That would have left her absolutely defenseless against Xehanort, no matter the state of her heart beforehand.- In BBS Aqua was supposed to be a backup for Ven as a Light to forge the X-blade
-The 2 on the list. I also thought that it indicates that he means aqua before. But. Before that line he lists off the wayfinder trio and about terra he says “ the feckless youth who became my new vessel”. So I would say he is still referring to Terra (sadly)
Looking through my old XY playthrough and I was reminded of another theory I have.
That the King of Kalos (AZ) is the one of the two brothers who fought in the war of Truth and Ideals thousands of years ago in BW
