Live whump performances for an audience.  Whumpee is the star and Whumper is the co-star.  There are two assistants: one to hand Whumper the tools and weapons, the other to take them away.  An MC serves as the announcer/host, introduces Whumpee and Whumper, and provides commentary.  The audience can make bids and vote for what happens to Whumpee.  The audience can also vote on whether or not Whumpee lives.  If it’s a tie, the highest bidder decides Whumpee’s fate.

Whumper injects Whumpee with two drugs.  The first drug makes them incapable of anything except thinking and automatic bodily functions (breathing, heart beating, blood pumping).  The second drug heightens their awareness and enhances their senses.  Whumper also inserts a chip in Whumpee’s brain that translates their brainwaves and projects them through speakers in real time.  After all, what fun is torturing someone if you can’t hear them scream?

When the whumpee hurt their leg and can barely even stand, but they know that if they can get back to the caretaker, then the caretaker will handle everything else. The whumpee forcing themself to limp back to the caretaker, and the caretaker rushing to them as soon as they notice how badly the whumpee is limping. Them reaching out to steady the whumpee and take some of their weight as soon as they get close enough, and the whumpee just crumpling into their chest instead, in too much pain to force themself to keep going now that they know that they’re safe. The caretaker gently lowering them to the ground and looking them over, then scooping them up and carrying them off to get their injuries treated, and murmuring to the whumpee that they did a good job getting to them, and that they’d take care of them now.

When the whumpee is exhausted, but they have too much to do to allow themself a break. Them trying to keep working, but eventually falling asleep in a random spot. The caretaker finding them there, and deciding that moving them probably won’t work well, so they go find a blanket and a pillow. Them trying to get the pillow under the whumpee’s head without waking them up, and then covering them in the blanket. The whumpee not waking up, and sleeping there for several hours. Them waking up hours later, and immediately freaking out, because they’ve got to be so far behind on their work, but when they go to start working again, they find that the caretaker has taken care of most of it while they slept.

When the whumpee gets beaten up while protecting the caretaker, and the caretaker helps them get home and patches them up. The caretaker helping the whumpee inside, and settling them on the edge of the bathtub. Them gently cleaning the whumpee’s wounds, and apologizing when they hiss in pain. The caretaker helping them to the couch as soon as they’ve finished patching them up, and them covering the whumpee in a blanket. The caretaker grabbing ice packs and putting them on the worst of the whumpee’s bruises, and the whumpee flinching at the sudden cold. The caretaker apologizing again, and thanking the whumpee for protecting them, and the whumpee thanking them for taking care of them.

When the whumpee gets hurt on a mission, but they just joined their team, and they’re not really sure who they’re supposed to tell, so they just decide to say nothing and deal with it on their own. The whumpee patching themself up, and not doing a terrible job, then trying to go about their life as normal. Their teammates not suspecting anything until they notice the whumpee wince and curl around their side after moving carelessly, and them asking the whumpee what’s wrong. The whumpee admitting that they’d gotten hurt on the mission a couple days before, but them saying that they’d dealt with it on their own. Their teammate’s being surprised and upset that the whumpee hadn’t asked for help, and them making the whumpee sit down so they can look their injuries over. The whumpee letting them, and their teammates admitting that the whumpee did a good job patching themself up. Their teammates still forcing them to get proper medical attention, and telling them if they get hurt again, they can tell any of their teammates, and they’ll make sure they get taken care of.

When the whumpee has a lot of scars that they don’t want their team seeing, but they end up getting hurt again, and they know they can’t deal with it on their own, but asking for help will mean letting someone see the scars. The whumpee deciding to try to deal with it on their own anyway, but having to give up within minutes of starting to patch themself up. Them having to force themself to go to the rest of their team for help, and their teammates making no comments about the scars as they patch the whumpee up. The whumpee falling asleep after their teammates are done, and when they wake up, them asking the rest of their team why none of them commented. Their teammates telling them that they weren’t going to ask them questions about something they clearly were uncomfortable with, but if they ever wanted to talk about the scars, they’d listen. The whumpee starting to cry, and thanking them, and their teammates all crowding around for a group hug, trying to comfort them.

When the whumpee is completely exhausted, but they have an event they have no choice but to get through. The caretaker knowing that the whumpee isn’t doing well, and doing everything they can to help them get through it, worrying about them the entire time. As soon as the event is over, the caretaker quickly getting the whumpee home so they can rest, and the whumpee not arguing, grateful that the caretaker is helping them. The whumpee letting the caretaker guide them to bed, and letting them fuss over them as they fall asleep, knowing that they didn’t need to worry about anything, because the caretaker will take care of them.

When the whumpee is the team leader and they try to seem tough in front of their teammates, but when their teammates rescue them from the whumper, they can’t hide that they’re in bad shape. Their teammates checking them over quickly, and the whumpee trying to claim that they can walk, but their teammates all ignoring them, and the strongest one picking them up carefully. The whumpee trying to hide that even being carried hurts, but not being able to stop themself from making pained noises whenever they get slightly jostled. Their teammate apologizing, and trying to be as gentle as possible, and the whumpee hiding their face in their teammate’s shirt as they start to cry, the combination of the pain and the relief of being rescued just too much.

When the whumpee gets out of the hospital after being rescued, and the caretaker takes them to stay over for a few days as they continue to recover. The caretaker getting the whumpee inside and onto the couch, then covering them in blankets and trying to make them comfortable. The caretaker’s dog coming over and curling up against the whumpee’s side, and the whumpee nearly crying as they reach down to pet them. The two of them falling asleep together, and the whumpee sleeping better than they have since they were rescued, finally feeling safe.

When the whumpee’s team goes to rescue them, and they find them curled up in the corner of a cold cell, shivering. Their teammates immediately rushing to the whumpee, and one of their teammates pulling off their jacket to wrap around them. The whumpee leaning into their teammate’s touch, seeking out warmth, and the strongest teammate scooping them up and cradling them close. The whumpee clinging to them almost desperately, and their teammates rushing them out of there so they can get them somewhere warm and safe.

When the caretaker is watching the whumpee, and they notice that they seem a little paler than usual, but they’re only mildly concerned, until they see the whumpee suddenly go even paler and start to sway. The caretaker rushing to the whumpee and steadying them, looking around for somewhere for the whumpee to sit, but the whumpee passing out in their hold before they can find somewhere. The caretaker gently guiding the whumpee to the ground, and laying them down with their head in the caretaker’s lap. The whumpee coming back to consciousness a minute later, and the caretaker giving them a few moments to get their bearings, then asking if they know why they passed out. The whumpee admitting that they’d barely been sleeping, and the caretaker giving them a disapproving look, then gently helping them sit up. The caretaker giving them a few moments, and then pulling them up to standing, and gently helping them get to somewhere they can get some proper rest.

When the whumpee is finally rescued from the whumper, and they end up clinging to the caretaker, not even letting go as they get patched up. The caretaker just holding them close, gently maneuvering them to let the medics care for them without making them let go, and running gentle fingers through the whumpee’s hair to comfort them. The whumpee falling asleep as the medics work, and still clinging to the caretaker, hands gripping their shirt even while they sleep. The caretaker gently settling into bed with the whumpee after the medics are done, eventually falling asleep, and letting the whumpee cling to them all night, hoping it helps them feel safe.

When the whumpee has hurt their ankle, and the caretaker has gotten them settled in bed, then left them alone for a few minutes to go gather an ice pack and some water, and the whumpee decides to try to stand up and grab something from the other side of the room. The whumpee falling as soon as they try to put weight on their injured ankle, and landing on the floor with a loud thump. The caretaker hurrying back to the whumpee, and finding them sitting on the floor, clutching their ankle with tears running down their cheeks. The caretaker gently helping the whumpee back into bed, and carefully checking to make sure they haven’t made their ankle worse, then settling an ice pack on it. The whumpee hissing slightly at the sudden cold, and the caretaker asking them how they ended up on the floor. The whumpee admitting that they were trying to grab something, and the caretaker getting it for them, then handing them some water and telling them to just ask for help next time, instead of risking hurting themself even more.

When the whumpee is stuck in bed recovering after getting badly hurt, and they’re still weak and spend most of their time sleeping. Them complaining about how tangled and messy their hair is during one of the times they’re awake, and the caretaker sitting on the bed beside them and gently brushing it for them. The caretaker doing what they can to make sure it won’t tangle, and the whumpee dozing off as they work, soothed to sleep by the caretaker’s gentle touch. The whumpee sleeping more peacefully than they have in a long time, and the caretaker deciding to try brushing the whumpee’s hair more often, because the whumpee could definitely use the rest.

When the whumpee wakes up feeling horrible in the middle of the night, but they decide not to bother anyone about it until morning. Them just curling up in a ball under their blankets, crying silently and gritting their teeth as they wait for morning. One of their teammates coming to check on them when they don’t show up for breakfast, and finding the whumpee still curled up, shivering under their blankets and covered in sweat. The teammate touching the whumpee’s forehead and finding a fever, then running to get the team leader, knowing they’ll know how to help the whumpee.

When the caretaker has to drive the whumpee somewhere, but the whumpee is badly hurt, and every little bump in the road hurts. The caretaker having to just put the whumpee in the backseat and then focus on the road, meaning that all they can do to comfort the whumpee is try to verbally reassure them. The whumpee not being able to hold back little noises of pain, and the caretaker desperately wishing they could hold the whumpee and try to comfort them better. When the finally reach their destination, the caretaker getting the whumpee settled somewhere more comfortable, and then sitting with them, holding their hand and stroking their hair as the whumpee sleeps, exhausted from all the pain from traveling.
