So this is the longer post I said I’d make about the wax melting pot! It’s very versatile so you can personalize how you want to use it. This is what I did:
Step 1: Get your supplies and pre-melt the wax cube earlier in the day to give it time to re-harden.
Step 2: Use a pointed tool (I just used a picture frame nail) to carve into the wax. This is the really fun part.You literally get to shape your intention :)
You can write a message or intention, whether it be a word, spell or mantra of some sort, include any symbols you wish etc. I used my finger to rub the excess wax shavings into the carved lines to make it more visible.
Step 3: Then I chose some oils to anoint with. WORD OF CAUTION: some essential oils are flammable and/or should not be diffused into the air in high quantities so be careful of the amount you use and don’t risk pouring it directly into a candle unless you know your stuff
I used the goddess oil from Saje, which is a mix or orange, rose, jasmine and a few others, by rubbing it on the exterior of the tealight I was going to use (wash your hands after this).
The other one I used IS MY FAVOURITE! It’s balsam fir tree oil from Aroma Force and it smells like the forest (◡‿◡✿) This one went into the wax.

Step 4: Let the magic flow! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
You’ve got some time on your hands while it melts so this is the perfect opportunity to sit and reflect, meditate, listen to some music for atmosphere, write or do anything that you find suitable. And don’t forget to enjoy the scent of the wax and oils you chose!
Power nap spell: (i ma just write it in bullet points)
- candle (colors that i think work: white, purple, blue or any color you associate with sleep)
- herbs: lavender and nettle (or a herb that you would use for protection)
- a little bit of rain water and tea (camomile or your personal favorite “sleepy time” tea): you wet the herbs or candle a bit (… you can wait till it dries or just wipe a bit of before you light the candle)
- put a sigil on it (i have put my 1h power nap sigil)
- write your intent on a piece of paper and put it under the candle
- light it and go to sleep (!!!be careful! don’t burn your house down!Put it somewhere where it’s save or light it before you go to sleep and then put it out while slipping!!!)
Please take everything I say at face value, do your own research on the topics I’ve presented. What works for me may not work for you. You can substitute or subtract pretty much anything as long as it’s not a major component in a spell. Make sure you are prepared fully before doing some of the ones I’ve listed and educate yourself on the ways backfiring presents itself. If you try any of these lmk I’d love to hear it!
Perhaps this is common knowledge, but just in case there are any witches out there who struggle with removing wax that has dripped onto their candlesticks, I thought I would share how I have learned to remove it - with a hair dryer!
- When you turn on the hair dryer you will want to turn it on the hottest heat setting but use the lowest blow setting.
- Hold it about 1-2 inches from the wax you are trying to clean off.
- You are not trying to melt the wax!!! That is unnecessary, all you need to do is soften it and warm up the metal under the wax.
- After you’ve given it a little bit, simply wipe the wax with a paper towel or other soft cloth. (for more pristine metals you may not want to use a paper towel because it could scratch the metallic surface). The wax will slip right off with no mess at all.
- I have used this method on shiny brass, antique brass and a silvery colored metal (not real silver), but always test in an inconspicuous spot if you are worried.
- It’s quick! The below example took me less than 10 mins to finish.
A simple spell to light a fire under your ass when you have a lot of things to do in a short amount of time, and need something extra to kick you into gear! Hope it helps you.
What You Need
Yellow or Orange Candle
Cayenne Pepper
Ginger
A small dish to hold the candle
Cinnamon (optional bonus)
Set up your candle in the dish. Surround it with the Cayenne and Ginger, sprinkling some onto the candle if you can. (If you have any other fire-related things, feel free to put them around the candle as well.) This will be the fire under your ass, giving you an extra boost of motivation, productivity, and focus for as long as it burns! Light the candle and begin your work.
