I started by collecting pictures of aesthetics that described my soul and heart, and over just 2 years my community grew from 200 followers to 10,000, and now we are almost 85K
While I have been away for months these last couple of years, finishing university and being stuck at a boring desk job, everytime I come back I realize one beautiful thing:
Everytime I come back here, I feel at home, surrounded by melancholic poetry, dark aesthetics, beauty and mystery. This is how the Tumblr community that I created together with all of you makes me feel. I don’t feel like that often in real life.
I missed this feeling and I missed all of you so much.

One year ago I started sharing my fan fiction online. I was terrified, but I did it, and now I’m so supremely glad. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the response I received. I’ve made friends, where before I only had one. I receive beautiful praise from lovely folks all around the world. And miracle of miracles, I’ve found the love of my life in @martymcdie88mph
Now, 252 stories later, I’ve reached a major goal. Last week I crossed 1.5 million words. And I have to say, I’m pretty damn proud of myself. Before returning to fan fiction last year I did nothing. I sat around and watched Conan and Bill content to slog through my days because I was so fucking miserable all the time.
But writing has transformed my life. I now have people. Real, actual people who care about me and ask how I’m doing every day. And I feel like, for the first time, I might even have a purpose. It may seem silly to some, writing explicit stories about tall, blue-eyed, assless comedy men to pass the time. But I have used fic writing to process my own trauma, to work through various heartaches. And I’m amazed at the responses from my readers. I feel privileged that people trust me with their own private struggles and ask me to write difficult things for them as well. I don’t know how to express my gratitude to everyone who has read my work, left kudos, commented, or made a request. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!

Let’s celebrate this special occasion with a layer CAKE stratigraphy!
This is one of my favorite Indian festivals. This festival celebrates the coming of the harvest season, and the shift from winter to summer in India. In India and especially in Gujarat, kite flying is a huge part of the celebration. People fly kites from terraces, trying to cut others’ kites and bring them down. The string is sharp, so when they rub against each other, one will break.
As an American born child of Indian parents, I’ve yet to experience the festival in its full glory in Ahmadabad. I look forward to going to the park each year, where the local Gujarati community celebrates it together.
The kites are all of the same generally structure, though the designs vary. The skies are filled with colors and you can hear people shouting, “Kai po Che!” (We cut it!) and (lapet!) roll in the string! Its also popular for people to run after and catch falling kites, as they can be reused. It’s like a trophy!
Unlike american kites, the string comes completely separate from the kite. There is a method to attaching the two, and the string can be reattached to other kites.
Tie colorful ribbons with wishes and blessings onto tree branches
Buy a bundt cake. Stick a long straw into the center and tie little ribbons onto it. BOOM, got yourself a very sexual may pole cake (OPTIONAL: drizzle with honey, sprinkle with edible glitter, and top it off with some edible flowers)
Pick up a pebble and make a wish on it, then toss it into a body of water!
Go outside and draw. This holiday is about creativity and creation, so go outside and make some art!
Visit a local fruit stand or farmer’s market and get some local fruits and veggies. Cook them up simply, and eat them outside (or just eat them raw)
Buy a single little pot and a little plant of your choice. Plant it in nutrient-rich soil, then decorate around it with a tiny quartz crystal, or any other decorative crystals or rocks you can find. Name the plant after a deity or spirit of nature, fertility, love, or healing. Now you have a magical Beltane plant! Leave it outside overnight and ask the local nature spirits/fae to bless it or at least infuse it with their energy.
Go on an early-morning walk around your neighborhood and look for litter to pick up. Nothing honors the nature spirits like keeping the environment clean!
