Inmortal Zagreo, Señor del Inframundo, Heredero del Trono Universal, Gran Hijo de la Espectral Emperatriz de las sedientas almas, que junto con la Tierra eres el más sublime de los Dioses, benigno, no-manifiesto, guerrero, que empuñas el fulminante rayo del Padre Zeus, que combates la maldad titánica y la injusticia con tu cetro, sombrío, que descansas entronizado en las profundidades infernales; si alguna vez he ofrecido sacrificios en tu montículo sagrado, si me he postrado en adoración, atiende la invocación y súplica de este tu siervo. Que tu perfecto sacrificio sea proclamado en los atrios de los templos y las azoteas de las casas, que se propague la devoción al que sostiene las almas de los hombres. No hay lugar donde no seas inmanente, la vida misma no existiría sin que hubieses ofrecido la justificante propiciación. Salvador, redentor, benefactor de los hombres, te pido nunca me abandones en esta vida, y que infundas en mi la sosegada confianza en tu santo Nombre, que nunca dejo de invocar con prestos labios aduladores. No me desampares en momentos de angustia, y destruye sin piedad a los enemigos de mi plebe con un fuego abrasador. Por ello, en esta noche ofrezco gustosamente el sagrado vino en la fosa consagrada a tu ser, recibe estas frutas que crecen de las entrañas de la tierra, así como estas flores funerarias al muerto y ausente. Hades
God king of the Underworld, God of the dead, funeral rites, defender of funeral rights. God of the hidden wealths of the earth, fertile soil with nourished the seed-grain, the mined wealth of gold, silver, & other metals.
Invocation:
Hades, lord of the underworld, host of the dead, stem holder of the boundary between death and life. Cold flesh becomes spirit, bright eyes glint from the shadows, lovers long parted unite, families join once more—Kind one, fearsome one, all this you encompass, light in dark, love in death. Hades unseen, lord of all who have lived and died, I pray to you. Master of dreams, giver of wealth, receiver of those most dear to us, lost to us, treasures all, all within your realm. Great Hades guardian of all who have passed to your kingdom, gracious god to whom we all will go, I praise you.
