31 - WEDDING
Movie: La Reine Margot (1994)
There’s really nothing I can say that will properly convey my obsession with this movie. It scores highly on visuals, gayness, blood, cruelty, dresses and mood. We watch it every year around the time of the St Bartholomew’s Night Massacre (so, er, St Bartholomew’s night) and drink deeply of all of Isabelle Adjani’s dresses. She’s 40 in this movie. I want you to bear that in mind when you see it, which you absolutely must. Every day, I dress and bear myself in such a way as to at some level suggest this movie, to imply it. I first watched it about 8 years ago when my boyfriend show it to me, and it changed me.

I really loved painting from a movie that somehow formed me every day and talking about it. It was inspiring, reassuring, grounding and nourishing. I shall find some other daily drawing to fill my November. In fact, I have already found what it will be, but it’s a secret. You’ll find out in time.

Day 15 of #inktober is a quick witch bust. This weekend has been busy with getting ready for our honeymoon! We leave on Friday, woo-hoo!

Day 13 of #inktober is a rather bored vampire. For some reason, vampires are always depicted in mid-startle, or mid-bloodlust, so I wanted to see one who was rather listless. I also added the red in the background cause she needed some color. I’m pleased with how the effect turned out- I may add more marker to pieces as the month goes on!

Day 4 of #inktober is something a little different from me- I’m trying to push myself to draw a little more outside my comfort zone this month. @fakeninja1 challenged me to draw a potion bottle, since I usually focus more on characters. I’m very happy with how this turned out! Any other challenges for me?
