8/2～8/6は第36候・大雨時行（たいうときどきにふる）。 夕立ちなど、時折はげしく大粒の雨が降る季節。

夕立は白雨（はくう）神立（かんだち）など様々に別称され
、雨を表す言葉は400を超えるとの説も。
文学や絵画にも雨を取り入れた作品は多く、
『南総里見八犬伝』には「切先からほとばしる水気が葉先を洗う叢雨のよう（意訳」
と表現される宝刀・村雨丸が登場します。

【暦擬人化　その24】
7/28～8/1は第35候・土潤溽暑（つちうるおうて むしあつし）。
夏の陽射しが降り注いぎ、湿った地面が暖められて熱気となり、蒸し暑くなる季節。
溽暑（じょくしょ）は湿度の高い蒸し暑さを表す言葉です。
またこの時期の季語に、強い日差しに射られて夏草から水分が蒸発する様子の「草いきれ」、
土が熱気を発する様子「土いきれ」があります。
土（地面）を潤して暑さを凌ぐ打ち水は現代でも見られる習慣です

【暦擬人化　その21】
7/12～7/16は第32候・蓮始開(はすはじめてひらく）。
蓮のつぼみがゆっくりと開き、花を咲かせる季節。

蓮の花は朝開いて昼に閉じ、３日ほどで力尽きますが、
一方で泥水が濃ければ濃いほどに大輪の花を咲かせる生命力を持ち合わせます。
崇高な佇まいは「苦難の中の幸福」を連想させ
、仏教において「聖なる天上の花」として仏の智慧や慈悲の象徴になっています。

Im doing a Myth Inktober and my comic, Ouramyr, as the main theme. Ouramyr is about all mythical creatures and beings in one world, which are called sages. An aristocrat named Inez sees that there importance brings balance to the world.

Ambrosia in this case to fit into my comic, is food Sages can’t resist. It is not often Poppy (purple) smiles. Inez (magenta) wanted to cheer him up.
