On this day, 31 years ago, reactor #4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant blue up. The radioactive fallout spread thousands of miles across Europe driving over 250,000 People permanently from their homes. It remains as one of the worst nuclear accidents to date. In the summer of 2016 I was able to spend 4 full days photographing the exclusion zone. One of the most moving experiences of my life. I just waked up in ‚‘my‚‘ bedroom, which has never been mine. I just drink and go to sleep. Every morning was kind of real, but weird, cause this small room was always small to breath.
But I’m outside now, that’s the point.
