LIVE

Late post but: Happy first ever #nationaloatmilkday ! I celebrated with an iced vanilla oat milk latte from Dogwood Coffee . Such a delicious treat on this beautiful spring day!

Here’s to many more oat milk lattes to come. (Hopefully one day without the non-dairy upcharge!)

Amidst all the Christmas food, there one thing I love more which is this #matcha. from @matcha.fuel using @oatly batista milk to make my daily latte.

I’ve been searching for a really great matcha and I’ve found it.. finally! This stuff, helps keep me, calm and alert, especially after lunch when the food coma kicks in.

My complexion is lovely from all the antioxidants and will be making some of their recipes like the matcha lemonade and the gingerbread latte.

Its so easy to make:
☆Either half or 1 tsp of @matcha.fuel matcha
☆I small @nutribulletuk cup filled up with @oatly barista oat milk (you can use any plant milk you like)
☆ Warm the milk in a pan, so it’s pleasantly hot enough to drink.
☆ Add the matcha and milk back to the nutribullet cup.
☆ Whizz for about 10 to 15 secs, it will be really frothy now, you could also use a milk frother in your big mug.
Drink!

You could put it in a big mug, like the picture above or just leave it in the nutibullet cup.

For years, the meat and dairy industries have been trying to pass legislation to censorwhichwords plant-based products can and can’t use - keeping vegan companies jumping through hoops.

How about we get upset with turning an animal into a f*cking product, instead of (pretending to be) upset (a.k.a. offended) about calling a white liquid made from oats ‘milk’?

Nut Milk

I wrote this whole post then hit the escape button on accident so this may be of lower quality than before sorry :(

Cows are responsible for a disproportionate amount of methane and CO2 gasses that contribute to global warming. These being the facts, it is no wonder that more and more of the environmentally conscious are embracing veganism as well. One change you can easily make is the milk you drink! Some of the most common alternatives to traditional cow’s milk are almond, oat, cashew, and rice milks. While these don’t contain as much protein as cow’s milk, they are generally lower in calorie count and better for your overall health. This is particularly true because cows nowadays are often injected with hormones and steroids, which we ingest through the milk. By switching away from cow’s milk, you can avoid this (and keep them out of your childrens’ systems!!). You can also make your own substitution milks, so that it will contain the most basic ingredients, be almost entirely zero waste, and from what I’ve found, it can even be cheaper than what you might purchase in the store. I’ve been drinking almond milk for four months now and I love it! I’ll use my roommate’s regular milk on occasion but I’ve always had trouble drinking cow’s milk straight and now it’s even more true, because I love the taste of almond milk and the cow’s milk now to my palette has a bit of an animal-y taste to it, the same way that goat’s cheese does.

Make this simple luxurious bath soak for a relaxing night. Oatmeal is suitable for all skin types and also very moisturizing. Milk not only hydrates the skin, but it soothes irritated skin and gently sloughs away dead skin cells with lactic acid.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 cup whole fat dried milk
  • ¼ cup baking soda
  • ½ cup oats
  • 5-7 drops high quality essential oil(s) of your choice

This Oatmeal Milk Bath also makes a wonderful gift!
