Growing up an orphan after the death of his father, Kane becomes a thief in order to support the orphanage that had taken him in many years ago. After mistakenly robbing a bourgeoise who happens to also be the prince of Redwater, he is thrown into helping Prince Thom the Kind find his mother, and along the way Kane is confronted with learning about his own mother, a fire fae.
I know it’s not a bird of prey, but I can’t not post these. A little orphaned hoglet whose mother was found dead in someone’s garden came into the wildlife rehabilitation centre I work at. He was very hungry!
