So… if a person who had recently been outed as someone who traced other people’s art (for commisions, among other things) and left tumblr after she got caught now is back under a new name, once again uploading art/commissions:
Is it better to call her out on her past shit or wait until it’s possible to prove once again that she’s still tracing (something I believe but can’t prove yet)?
I wouldn’t even mind this much if she didn’t offer commissions, but having other people pay for what is essential stolen material without their knowledge is a hugely shitty thing to do and I feel like they should be warned about it?

Took a few pictures of myself on my computer and chose one to trace over. This turned out to be a fantastic exercise in line weight too, so I might do some more like this. I really love how it turned out.
A quick video of me re-tracing the drawing for my underpainting. Sometimes the hardest part of being an artist is having to decide when to throw away your progress and start again. I had traced this image before and started painting the background. I had used a lot of expensive paint on the background but I hated the way it was coming out and the paper had started to degrade from all of the brushing. I got it to a point where it was passable, but I had to decide whether I wanted to spend many hours on a painting where I would hate the background and I wouldn’t be able to fix it, or start again and make a new painting, count my losses, and move on to make something that I was actually happy with. Tracing patterns from the wooden last is a traditional method very rarely done by manufacturers nowadays. It consists on drawing the model directly onto the wooden shoe last.

I’m liking the pencil behavior in Adobe Fresco quite a lot. I’ve been noodling around with different iPad drawing apps, since I have frequent insomnia and drawing in bed is a good way to wind down. I hate that I like Adobe’s product! Argh! I mean, I’m already paying for the CC subscription, and I like Adobe in spite of their expensiveness, but I kind of don’t want everything I use to be in the Adobe ecosystem. (I also am an Allegorithmic subscriber, which has become Adobe, so it’s inevitable, I guess).
