Sure, sex and romance is fine and stuff but have you ever heard the smooth smooth sound of a French horn?

aroaesflags:

Revised aroace flag after some conversation among community members! The old flag I made can be found here, but I decided to change it after some criticisms that I received. This was primarily made with the experiences of aroaces who don’t split their attraction in mind since that’s how I feel and why I made it in the first place (also why it’s not purple and green) but any aroace-spectrum person can use it and there’s no need to credit me as it’s meant to be a community symbol. If you want things with this flag on it, check my Redbubble!

Ap/hobes and Ex/clusionists don’t interact

Color meanings are under the cut!

Fun fact - it’s National Archery Day in the United States today!

[ID: “Happy National Archery Day! National Archery Day is celebrated on the second Saturday of May in the United States. Because of the phonetic similarity between “aro” (short for aromantic) and “arrow”, arrows and archery are often used as symbols for the aro community. TAAAP even has an arrow in our logo!” Pictured is a bow with three arrows notched, an arrow colored with the aromantic flag, and a silhouette of an archer with a bow outstretched. End ID.]

[ID: A 4 panel meme. Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh, labelled “aphobes,” holds up a card that says “if you don’t experience romantic or sexual attraction then you must be a robot.” Yuugi, labelled “me,” smirks and holds up a card, then turns it to reveal it says “robots are awesome.”  In the last panel, Kaiba is blown away, screaming. With prevalent sex negativity and essentialist ideas of orientation & sexuality, aces often face invalidation and stigma for their sex drives and/or sexual behaviour. Check out these ace perspectives on sex and kink: https://taaap.org/2021/10/28/ace-week-21-aces-sex-kink/

In 4, Padmé’s smile falls and she repeats (still labelled “me”), “that means I won’t be horny, right?” End ID.]

I’m working on my book with the ace protagonist This spread is about a date at an amusement park.

Hello, everyone! Earlier this year I made a tweet about #AroCreatives happening on the 21st! Here’s another reminder that this is happening in less than two weeks! Please share this with your aro friends!

[ID:

Two infographics with a blurred aromantic flag in the background with @Space_Ro_Bot ‘s twitter handle on the bottom. The first infographic displays @Space_Ro_Bot’s highlighted Zepeto avatar (a skinny dark skinned individual with  shoulder-length black hair wearing a black hat, black glasses and a black shirt with the black power fist colored red, titled “Black History Month” in a banner under the fist holding up a peace sign) underneath the words #AroCreatives. The second infographic displays a wall of text that says the following.

“What: An event for ALL aromantic or aro-spec creatives (art, writing, cosplay, etc) to showcase their work!

When: February 21st!

Where: Mainly Twitter, but other platforms are welcome to participate!

Note: The only rules to participate are to be aro or under the aro umbrella, tag your posts appropriately, boost other creators (since it’s black history month, be sure to support black aros especially!)

END ID]

Hey guys, I’m organizing an event for Aro Week!

And this event is for ALL creatives, including writers, cosplayers, etc! The only rules to participate are:
