Transit Report: Waxing 1st Quarter Moon in Pisces

Nov 12 07:54—Nov 14 15:48 GMT

The moon’s entrance into this mutable watery sign means we’ll be experiencing enhanced intuition and attunement to our spiritual selves, but the Piscean tendency towards passivity means responsibility will be the last thing on our minds during this period of dreamy liminality. This may be a good occasion to turn your attention inwards, for self-care and emotional healing.

This Full Moon in Aquarius, like every Full Moon, is overflowing with the results of our actions and mindsets ever since the New Moon in Cancer, earlier this month. That New Moon, which was also a partial eclipse, focused a lot on the need to develop emotional maturity and to start taking responsibility for our actions. Under this lunation’s influence and because of all this fixed energy, we might have been feeling a bit off. Tension is in the air, and emptiness seems to have become a common feeling lately, much like anxiety. We’re being pressured, pushed and poked; we resist change — and it hurts, even though we might not know how to precisely point where… Now’s the time to start giving these experiences a more clear meaning.

27 of July, 2018; at 17:20 (UTC - 3).

This Total Lunar Eclipse is the climax of such tension. We’ve reached a turning point, and now there’s a lot of emphasis on the need to somehow get rid of all this pressure, to let it go in some way. However, considering Mars’ and Uranus’ involvement in this Eclipse, this release of all the stress that has built up inside may be unanticipated, violent and abrupt, even though we’ve got a lot of planets in retrograde motion, suggesting that this is process that is likely to remain internalized. Either way, it’d be interesting to be a little more careful and try to be a little more in touch with our feelings at this time. We might be sensitive and touchy; ready to explode. And if we do explode, some people might get hurt.

The Moon and Mars are very close to the South Node, and they’re opposite the Sun and the North Node in Leo. We’re stressed out, and somehow this stress is linked to something we should let go of. It might be a grudge, a memory; something linked to our family, or something linked to a feeling we’ve been having that’s crystallized us in a position that makes us suffer. It might also be a deep-rooted unhealthy behaviour or a person from our past suddenly coming back into our lives to remind us that there’s still a lot of work to be done. Now’s a good time to find a way to leave it all behind and to clear things up as a gesture of loyalty to the creative beauty of our true selves (Sun conjunct to the North Node in Leo). Ever since the New Moon, Pluto’s been helping us notice the overwhelming amount of trashwe keep inside of ourselves; now’s the time to organize it and take it all out. We can clear up space inside of us, and replace old (and bad) habits and values and beliefs for new, fresh and healthier ones.

It does seem like this has got the potential to be a deeply transformative period for some of us, and, if the transformation occurs, it is likely that it has come to stay. There’s a trine between Uranus in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn, suggesting that the changes occurring around this time can not only be long-lasting ones, but also that they might help in installing a sense of security and of structure and maturity in the personalities touched by this Eclipse. Pluto’s trine to Venus, ruler of Taurus, further emphasizes that this is an opportunity to renew ourselves and to let the old and the rusty die for good.

If you’d like to be more specific considering how this lunation might affect you, search for 04° Leo and 04° Aquarius in your chart; see in which house it falls and if there are any planets or angles related to this degree in these and in other signs.

Summary:

  • Time to recycle. Pay attention to the area in your life in which you’ve been feeling pressured in some ways. Let yourself be transformed by your experiences around this time. If you’re available and willing, the transformation is likely to be less painful.
  • Find a way to rest and recharge whenever necessary. Get more in touch to what makes you feel closer to yourself.
  • Don’t give in to anger or impulses to get violent if you can.
  • Liberate yourself, especially from collective ideals that may have been limiting how you express yourself.
  • Take care of yourself <3

Full Moon in Virgo

We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus.

Attention towards details is on the increase, with a tendency to fault-finding, cleanliness and neatness. It is a good time to undertake routine, painstaking work, and to search for and correct errors. Your body may be more intolerant of low-grade food and harmful substances, and this is a good day to begin a diet.

The Moon in Virgo generally favors mental pursuits, work, routines and any activities that would benefit from tending to details.

This is a Full Moon Blessing I use on every full moon occurrence! Blessed be witches

First, what are aspects

Simply put, aspects are the relationships made between planets. It’s how their energies interact with one another mathematically. Aspects (geometrically) are the slices of our Natal wheel, the Zodiac Circle. This circle adds up to 360 degrees. Half of the circle will give you 180 degrees, or an opposition. Dividing this circle into four equal parts will give you 90 degrees, or a square.

The Conjunction:

image

Conjunctions are planets that are very close together falling 0-10 degrees away from each other. Conjunctions can be described as easy as well as hard aspects depending on which planets are involved in the conjunction. A conjunction is the integration of two planetary energies. For instance, a Sun conjunct Venus aspect would indicate the Sun’s ego blends well with Venus’s grace and charm making for an optimistic, social individual on a surface level. This would be considered an “easy” conjunction. However, Mars conjunct Saturn would be a more difficult conjunction as Mars may feel restricted under Saturn’s rules and regulations, expressing themselves could seem harder, or center their energy on success and work while desensitizing them to emotion. Conjunctions typically fall under the same sign but there are still Out-of-Sign Conjunctions which are planets 0-10 degrees away from each other but occupying different signs.

The Opposition:

In case you didn’t get an inkling by it’s name, this is a hard aspect. Like mentioned above, oppositions are 180 degrees apart, meaning planets that are in opposition to one another are directly across each other on the wheel. Forexample the 1st house opposes the 7th house, the 2nd house opposes the 8th. Oppositions are like two energies on a seesaw, one goes up the other goes down. These two energies need balancing as they can swing from extreme to extreme. For instance, someone with moon opposite Pluto would struggle with integrating their emotional needs and comfort with their desire for power, control and strength. Creating a “ticking time bomb” like individual, due to suppressing (Pluto) their emotions (moon) for long periods of time till it all bubbles up to the surface resulting in explosions and outbursts. Oppositions are not a death sentence and can be remedied. In fact, oppositions are quite complimentary energies to one another, as the saying goes “Opposites attract.” (Determine what Signs Oppose each other here.)

The Square:

image

Squares are formed by 90 degree angles and for the most part can be found by counting three houses away from each other. Squares are also regarded as difficult aspects as the planetary energies here are having difficulty blending together. I usually describe a square between two planets as the planets are having a consistent argument between each other. They’re fighting. Squares highlight our inner conflicts and where we are challenged.Sun square moon would highlight where our emotional nature conflicts with our ego and outer persona. Squares lead to the most growth as they cause the most stress. Here is where we are challenged again and again until we get it right. Knowing the source of these conflicts give us a better handle on them and more control. (Determine what Signs Square each otherhere.)

The Trine:

image

Trines are formed by 120 degree angles, mathematically found by dividing the Zodiac circle by three. Trines are very easy aspects as the two planetary energies integrate harmoniously without any effort. Trines are the talents that come naturally to us, without a second thought. Here are the things that “fall into our lap.” At times these energies flow so easily through us we don’t even notice them, so a lot of times our trines are overlooked and taken for granted. For example, Moon trine Neptune can indicate a natural empathic and intuitive nature, easily picking up on energies of their environment and others. However, these individuals can have a tendency to ignore/distrust their inner voice and intuition telling them that someone is giving off a bad vibe. (Determine what Signs Trine each other here.)

The Sextile:

image

If you divide the Zodiac Circle by six you’d end up with a 60 degree angle, which is half a trine, or in other words a Sextile. The Sextile functions a lot like the trine except that it requires a bit of effort. These energies reflect our potential gifts and talents that we have to tap into. Unlike the trine, these energies are more apparent to us. For instance, Venus sextile Neptune can point to potential artistic abilities, the individual may have always had a quiet yearning to indulge in the arts. It’s not until they pick up a paintbrush and discover that they’re a Picasso incarnate. This is a harmonious aspect as the planetary energies here work together as friends. The Sextile points to gifts and skills  we can access with ease. We work fluently and efficiently with ourselves here. (Determine what Signs Sextile each other here.)

Pluto Transits to Ascendant

“How could you become new, if you had not first become ashes?”

— Friedrich Nietzsche

Whether it be a square, conjunction or opposition or trine or sextile, Pluto transiting over personal placements will transform their very essence. The square, conjunction, and opposition will do this in a very uncomfortable way, the most devastating felt of these transits will be to the ascendant as anything that touches it also in some fashion touches the descendant.(relationships with other people, relating to others, drawing in Plutonic people that bring about more self awareness, more awareness of power dynamics) Same can be said for any transit over the MC and IC, or any transit to these points as well, but I digress. These transits can last up to two years and can be very isolating, so if you see your friend’s chart and they’re going through it, be patient and be kind, they are probably scrutinizing theirselves more than anyone else. Pluto wants to get rid of wasted feelings, energy, and any falseness on the point or planet it is touching. These transits are long enough that you will inevitably emerge a different person and self awareness and self compassion are necessary to come out a better one, because this is an opportunity to actually strip the unnecessary and become more powerful in your environment and in your self concept. It is important to not fight the change in yourself and environment during this time because this resistance will only make things last longer and more painful. I became much more assertive and in tune with my needs and being during a Pluto trine Sun transit, and when it conjuncted (as well as Saturn in Capricorn) my ascendant experienced a very long period of solitude caused by health issues and depression, but emerged much more equipped to be a friend and partner to those I would encounter. By the end of this transit my entire friend group had changed, people showed their true colors, and I have never been more at ease with how I am perceived because I was able to become authentic in a way I would never have had to without these losses and realities. I had many health issues as it neared my Ascendant from the twelfth house and by the time it came to my first house I had troubleshooted everything, changed my diet and routine, and quit old medications and started new medications. Like the natal placement, when Pluto is in the 12th house conjunct the ascendant, people are repelled by your power, repressed negative energy, and are put off by their own insecurities that it triggers, as it enters or transits into your first house, you become magnetic, comfortable with your flaws and this ease not only soothes others but makes them drawn to you as an emblem of strength and confidence, and I invite you to note the difference in how people treat you as Pluto transits applying, and separating upon the ascendant, how you can go from pariah to the most sought out person in the room.

If you have planets conjunct the rising or descendant like I do, this whole process will be more intense than those without. Ex: my mercury squares the natal ascendant so when Pluto was conjunct my ascendant it was squaring my Mercury, making communication that much more difficult. If your Moon, Sun, Mercury or Venus or Mars are touching your AC/DC Axis be especially wary of these planets and the degrees Pluto will touch them at and in what capacity. The aspect Pluto makes to them during this period will bring you strength (trine/sextile) or bring that much more resistance and pain… and ultimately transformation. (conjunction/square/opposition)

With Pluto simultaneously touching the descendant, you will feel the power dynamics at play in your relationships, or simply just become more conscious of them, who relies on you to remain weak in order to feel comfortable in your presence, who rejects your desire for freedom of expression, and who builds you up. Alternatively, if losing control makes you exhibit more tyrannical black and white stances on things you may have to reexamine what, who, and why you feel entitled. You are the only person who is aware of your experience and this transit and sense of rejection does not make you above having courtesy, empathy, and patience with others. If you are already Plutonian by nature like I am, black and white attitudes on morality and justice can be your bread and butter, but clinging to being right on a sinking ship will not bring you peace in this internal upheaval you are enduring. If you are not self righteous in your feelings and behavior you will naturally set boundaries, learn what you will and won’t tolerate from others, and learn to expect more from others if in the past you were a door mat or someone that was taken advantage of. If you behave in a tyrannical way you will feel the weight of that karmic energy 10 fold and swiftly, Pluto leaves no prisoners.

Pluto trine and sextile the ascendant are similar to the square, opposition and conjunction but you don’t have that unsure-inferiority complex in the beginning, the transit will break down what and who you don’t need but the resistance is less because with the loss comes assured confidence and rebuilding comes simultaneously and naturally to stripping down of these facets of your life.
