Assignment Checklist Free Printable (PDF in Google Drive)

Keep your assignments looking professional and academic with these checklists that are used once you have completed a piece of work.

Tick off each task to make sure your work is of a presentable standard, for example:

  • Single/Double spacing.
  • Hanging indent for references.
  • Completing title pages; Title, student ID, module code & name.
  • Consistent font and font size.
  • …And feel free to add your own tasks specific to your course too.
  • Bonus: Box at the bottom has common reference styles (MLA, APA, Harvard).

I usually print these, cut them out and keep one with each assignment. It saves me time having to Google what’s required when referencing University/College work. If you can’t print then just write it out on paper/sticky notes. Let me know if this is helpful (and where to improve!).

If these help anyone, great!

  1. Set your timetable as your phone background for the first few weeks. Use this method for no. 6 too if you can be bothered.
  2. Wear sports bras/bralettes to lectures instead of the ones with a buckle at the back. They tend to poke and prod your back after a while if you’re leaning back. Sports bras don’t.
  3. Lay a towel on your bed a few days before your period is due. If you leak on a towel you can just wash it or throw it away. Easier than washing and changing the sheets (esp. if you’re in a rush to get to a lecture!).
  4. When you’re in a lecture taking notes on a laptop remember to turn down the brightness on your screen, especially if the lecturer has dimmed the lights. Otherwise you’ll annoy others and drain your battery.
  5. Save your recordings at every given break instead of making one continuous one through pausing. Sometimes files are too large to save and you don’t want to risk losing the entire lecture recording. Save as you go along.
  6. If you need to remember something (e.g. a library book, USB, locker key..) write it on a post-it note and stick it on your shoes before you sleep. Make sure they’re the shoes you intend to wear the next day!
  7. Don’t shoot me: if you have left an assignment really late, stay up as long as you can completing it (yes, that means an all-nighter may be needed). Sleep as soon as you’ve handed it in.
  8. If you use tech in a lecture e.g. phone for recording or electronic notetaking on your laptop, then mess around with it before uni begins. Know what buttons to press and when, otherwise you’ll mess up your notes and annoy others, with your excessive clicking.
  9. Always, always, ALWAYS carry a plastic bag/carrier bag. You might need to make a trip to the library, drink may spill in your bag so you’ll need an alternative. Seriously, just carry one.
  10. Find out where coursework/assignment are submitted within your first week on campus. Ask admin how the procedure works and make sure you know it inside out.
  11. Spend a day wondering around campus (before timetabled lectures start). Find out where the library is, talk to the librarians and ask them how to borrow/return books and also how to reserve!
  12. When you get your timetable be sure to visit the lecture halls and seminar rooms a few days before the term starts so you know where to go. Find out where the toilets are in those buildings too.
  13. Find out where your lecturers offices are. Know the building and floor that they’re on (they’re usually all in the same place).
  14. Carry cereal bars and other non perishable foods that take up little room. Sometimes your tummy rumbles really loud in a lecture, give it some love.
  15. Volunteer in your first year of university, these is the least hectic year (usually!). You want something to put on that CV and those post grad applications!
  16. In the UK the first year generally doesn’t count toward the final degree classification but those grades WILL show up on your transcript. Make sure they look decent. When you apply for post grad courses, if you don’t have the certificate yet (because you’re still completing the course) the university/institution will ask for your grade transcript. First year grades come up first!
  17. A huge part of your degree classification/GPA comes from the final year thesis. Talk to as many older students as you can and ask them what topics they picked and how they went about it. A great thesis/dissertation will literally move you from a 2:1 to a 1st.
  18. When you have a meeting with your supervisor take notes and write up a short summary of what was said, similar to writing up “meeting minutes”. This will be helpful for you and your supervisor. Especially if you take long breaks before meeting again.

I’ll update this list as things come to me. I hope it helps.

Security Checklists To Use Before Travelling!

Every time I leave for a trip, I have a series of panic attacks. Did I lock all the doors and windows? Have I told my neighbour, where I’m going to be? Is my passport lying on the table? It’s a pretty long list of things to take care off. And just like, it’s important to me to carry everything I need with me, it’s important to me to leave my home secure and worry free. That’s why I decided to make a detailed printable home security checklist that makes sure I cover all the essentials, before I leave home.

So next year I’ll be graduating in April and I’ve already started preparing for what I’ll be doing right after. I’ve compiled a list of programs that I will be applying for and my summer plans will depend what additional things I have to do for these programs. Here it is below:

I may push some additional applications but I am pretty set on what I already want to do. Pushing out more applications on things I don’t really have in mind would be counterproductive to my plan, but also it would be good for a backup if all else fails. But at the same time, when I want to do something, I set my mind to it and I make it happen no matter what. So I know it will work out…but it all depends and anything can happen. Either way, I hope that I hear good news from at least one of the programs and expect to be out of the country by August. My first choice out of them all is Taiwan for I want to continue studying Chinese, but I don’t want to study and/or live in China long term again (I have to think about it). But I am applying to the same Chinese Government Scholarship Program again nevertheless.

If you’re not familiar with what I am talking about here, read more about how to for free here.

Major difference between applying for the Taiwanese vs the Chinese Scholarship is that you have more leeway in choosing the time of the year and length you want to do in terms of the language programs when it comes to applying for the Taiwanese Government Program. You can specify but the scholarship committee will choose which one you’ll get based on your application. Also they give more money to the student to use at their expense. BUT in turn, students have to use a part of the scholarship money to pay for their tuition so technically they give you money for personal funds, tuition, AND to get an apartment. They don’t pay for it up front only because certain schools cost more and may require students to pay out of pocket (be on the lookout for that if you’re interested in applying) and it also gives more freedom for students to choose where they want to live.

One other major thing to keep in mind (if anyone gets accepted and decides to go through with the program), Both the Taiwanese & Chinese government waits till a month after to give the scholarship stipend after you arrive meaning that you somehow have to have some kind of money to pay for everything in the meantime. And its not so bad! I saved like around $1000+ for my first month while in China and it lasted me up until I got my money so I couldn’t complain. You just have to make sure you set up all the necessary requirements to get your money in time.

Proper Hypnosis Negotiation

Do you have any tips for how to negotiate hypnosis play?

Yes. So when I am negotiating hypnosis play, I ask for four individual lists, in Discord. And I ask for each list to be labeled, and each item on that list to be its own line. So I am able to pin them into our DMs, for easy locating while they are in trance. These four lists are…

Hard Limits:

Limit 1.

Limit 2.

Etc.

(Things you absolutely will not do, even if someone offered you $100.)

Landmine:

Landmine 1.

Landmine 2.

Etc.

(Things you know you don’t respond well to that the hypnotist should be aware of. Such as, if you are afraid of heights. “Saying falling.” may be a landmine. Or if someone has a common trigger in you you don’t want duplicated by someone else. Or anything else that the hypnotist may stumble upon accidentally which you know you won’t respond well to. I hate being called Sweetie. Out of trance its an annoyance, in trance its made me cry. So, “calling me Sweetie” is one of my landmines.)

Safewords:

Safeword to Pause and discuss.

Safeword to Stop all play and Start aftercare.

Safeword to Start play or Convey something is good for you.

(I work with a lot of people across the world. The Stoplight system seems to be pretty universal. Yellow = Pause, Red = Stop, and Green = Go.

You may chose other words. If you want to pick other words, chose words that make you feel safe, come to you automatically and that you are unlikely to say during a session.)

Hypnotic/BDSM Interests:

Interest 1.

Interest 2.

Etc.

(Things they like experiencing under trance. I will ask them to delete anything I’m not okay with doing. I also ask them a few of the things I am really into. If they are interested in those, too, I’ll ask for those interests to be added to the list.

Then we have a set pre-negotiated list I can pull from anytime I am working with them. If I’m doing a session in which one aspect isn’t working for either of us, I can easily let it go, look on their Hypnotic Interests list and snag something from there.)

I tell them they can edit these lists at anytime. I just need to be informed they have done so and what the edit is.

This is proper negotiation. Organized so the Hypnotist can easily look it up when they need it, even if the subject is deep in trance.

If you think this is good information, please reblog. Share this information. I often go to negotiate with new Calebs and they are surprised, and impressed, at how organized my negotiation is. The more people who know how to properly negotiate, the better it is for the community.
