Product Review: Liz Earle Power of 3 Set

If you didn’t know, I work at Smashbox Cosmetics in Boots as a Crew Member, I absolutely love my job and talking to people about the brand and the makeup it offers. Next to my concession is Liz Earle. I’ve always been interested in skincare but especially natural skincare, during the quiet days, I look at Liz Earle products and talk to the lovely ladies at the counter about their products. I…

I love steaming my face. It leaves my skin feeling soft, and gives me a glow. Here is why you should steam your face too! Steaming your face will literally steam the Shit out of your face that you don’t want.

Benefits

Cleanses pores

Increases blood circulation

Gets rid of toxins

Promotes relaxation

Gives a skin a glow

Here are the directions:

1.       Grab a pot and fill it with water

2.       Wash face

3.       Bring the water to a hot temperature where you can see steam come from pot

4.       Add any oils to the hot water

5.       You can either pour the water into a bowl or leave water in pot

6.       Lean your head over the pot or bowl for 5-10 mins with a towel over your head

7.       Exfoliate, tone and moisturize

8.       Steam your face once or twice a month

Please be careful while following these instructions

This face mask is my favorite mask to use when my face is really dry or needs extra moisture.  It also helps reduce the appearance of acne. It’s easy to do and has great benefits. This mask is just  Bananas.

Here are the benefits of incorporating bananas into your beauty routine:

·         Amino Acid

·         Vitamin C and A

·         Potassium

·         Vitamin A

·         Zinc

·         Antioxidants

Instructions:

1.       Wash face

2.       Cut off a piece of a banana and rub it on face

3.       Leave banana on for 30 minutes

4.        Rinse face

I have seen several posts of people saying drinking water has not helped their acne. Some people are lucky enough where a  water only routine keeps their skin clear. Others are unfortunate (like me) where a water onlyroutine will not keep their skin clear.

I’m a firm believer in drinking a gallon of water a day.  Water is key to life and to beautiful skin. Since taking my water intake seriously, I have seen a change in my skin. My skin is more moisturized and looks more healthy.  Water has done wonders for my skin, but it is not my only way of keeping my skin clear of acne. I have developed a routine of toning, moisturizing, and exfoliating my skin.

If you drink lots of water and your skin is still breaking out, you might have to try different ways of fighting acne in addition to drinking water.

I been recently  using coffee grounds as a  facial/body scrub and I love it.  I brew my own coffee everyday and use the grounds for my beauty needs. I love how it makes my face feel and look, plus i’m saving money on buying a facial scrub. This is a natural and easy  scrub that I recommend you trying.

Benefits

  • Makes skin smooth
  • Exfoliates dry skin
  • Improves cellulite
  • Contains a lot of antioxidants
  • Improves puffy eyes
  • Fights wrinkles
  • Improves blood circulation

Instructions:

  1. ¼ cup of coffee
  2. ½ cup of Preferred oil
  3. Optional: 2 tbsp of salt or sugar

Mix these ingredients together and rub the mixture in a circular motion. I recommend changing the proportions of these ingredients depending on your skin type and if you will be using this as a facial or body scrub.

Remember to clean your makeup brushes consistently! And clean them ASAP after particularly bad breakouts!

I love Friday Night’s, they are perfect for doing some selfcare. What’s your favorite mask to use?

So, right now my face is like 100% clear. Yes. Really. I honestly forgot what that looked like.

And yet, I can’t push away constant ‘2nd thoughts’ about the medication.

So far, I’ve been really lucky. I haven’t had any major side effects. In fact, right now I feel really great. Inside and out. The only thing I have noticed: mild stomach discomfort and persistently strange sounds (from my stomach). Of course this leads to internet searches–and isotretinoin is credited for several digestive and intestinal issues. Then I read more. Things I already knew, but for some reason seem scarier. Like people claiming to have horrible sicknesses and conditions years after their course on the medication.

And sometimes I start asking myself: why did you start taking it? Often, I find my response is pressures from society. Wanting to look good in public, for my partner, etc. etc. Is that an acceptable reason? I don’t know. However, it’s easy to forget the pain of acne (both internal and external) when your face is clear.

I know I never had the most extreme or serious acne. But it was constant, painful, scarring, and I have a serious oil problem.

To stop or to continue.

Does anyone have any thoughts that they would care to share with me? I go back and forth all the time. I’m going to talk to my derm at the end of the week.

1. Oil production has decreased dramatically. Don’t have to wash my hair everyday, or even use oil absorbing pads on my skin.

2. No extreme dryness thus far (crossing my fingers it stays this way). I have still been able to use benzoyl peroxide for spot treatment. I do put on chap stick more frequently, but I definitely don’t have horribly dry lips.

3. I have experienced mild discomfort in my back, nothing debilitating. I continue to exercise regularly.

Today, I went to the dermatologist and I will begin a higher dosage once I finish my current prescription.

Sending my best to everyone out there as we continue our clear skin journeys!

Ok so I realized I had a problem with bacne when I was hooking up with a guy and he had soft, flawless skin, making me self conscious. So I looked up some tips to get rid of bacne and I found out that one of the main causes of it is hair products! Hair products are designed to stay in your hair so when you wash them out against your back, they stick to your back and clog up your pores.
In order to remedy this, WASH YOUR HAIR PRODUCTS OUT BEFORE LTHING YOUR BODY WITH SOAP
I’ve been doing this for a week or so and my bacne is almost all gone! Plus my skin is softer than ever, even softer than the guy I hooked up with
This is a SUPER EASY way to get rid of bacne! Try it for yourself and let me know how it goes!
I know this sounds like an ad but clearly it’s not cause I’m not selling anything, I’m just excited about my clear skin and I want to share this with the world

As some of my followers have helpfully pointed out, lemon juice and baking soda CAN be harmful to your skin if used excessively or on the wrong skin type. Please be cautious using these ingredients. I personally have TRIED all of these masks myself, I’m never gonna post stuff like this without guaranteeing it works. I had no problems with either ingredient, my skin looked and felt fine, but that is not a guarantee that the same will pertain to you. Please be careful, test any dicey products or ingredients on your hand or arm and make sure that they are not abrasive before applying to your skin, and perhaps lessen the concentration of these ingredients when making these masks if you still choose to make them. Thank you to everyone for reblogging with the reminder that some ingredients can be harmful, I completely forgot to add that disclaimer. Stay safe hoes
