“I guarantee that you will encounter difficult times in your relationship with Yah, blessed be His Name.  The trust of some will waver in the midst of tests.  Do not be one of those who waver because life becomes difficult or because the elder or congregation disappoints or betrays you.  Do not give up the greatest and hardest relationship because you lose someone dear to you.  Do not lose trust because you have unanswered questions or because you may not understand.  Do not lose heart because you feel alone.  Do not give up the good fight because you want to die, persecution endangers and harms your life, or for any other reason.  Shun the rocky soil.  Instead grow deep roots into the Lord through relationship with Him that is nurtured in daily prayer, meditation, fasting, fellowship, service, purpose…and focus and endurance.

My children, continue the struggle to draw near to the Lord even if you do not hear His voice.  Anjeze Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, more widely known as Mother Teresa of Calcutta, did not hear from God for sixty years, yet she maintained faithfulness, enduring trust, in Him.  Questions and doubts may arise - endure anyway.  Challenges in your life and in your walk with God will come - persist anyway.

If you stand firm, persecution will come, but please never give up, never quit… do not allow bitterness to corrupt your heart.  Seek Him for comfort, for purpose, and for answers.  Even if you do not receive a response, sustain in your walk with the Lord.  No matter how difficult the Way, the struggle, the fight, the race, may be…persevere.  Trust Him.  Trust Him for salvation and Life.  Know that persecution and pain will come if you stand with His Anointed One (Revelation 2:9-10), but He will be there to help you every step of the way (2 Corinthians 12:7-10).  He will be with you even if the test means the death of your body.”

Why make things hard on yourself by labelling certain things as ‘hard’ or ‘impossible’. If you assume that, then yes it will be hard and impossible. Start assuming that everything is easy and effortless for you because it can be if you persist it to be so.

Manifesting? Easier than breathing. Persisting? Effortless. Making millions? Pff no big deal, i can do that in my sleep. Making everyone fall in love with me? Obviously easy when you look this hot. Everything is so fucking easy for me because i say so.

You and the 3D are one, not separate. So there’s no point getting angry and ranting about how you don’t have your desires when you are the one creating your reality . Pointing out your unwanted circumstances is only persisting them to be true. So If you want to experience your desired circumstances you have to change what’s within yourself not the circumstances thats happening outside of yourself. To change your assumptions within is to change the world around you.

Humans in themselves are diverse. My activism is rooted in humanity just as our hospitality as bartenders should be.” –Ashtin Berry

In the very first scene of Bombshell, the audience is walked through the layout of the Fox News Building. We are shown where the studios are in relation to the writer’s room. We get to see the decor of the executive offices and the elevators that lead to them. We are shown such things to establish one very important fact: this script was written with intimate knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes at Fox News.

And it’s not pretty.

However, as someone who is STILL getting in intense online arguments defending the all-female Ghostbusters reboot, there was very little chance I was going to dislike a movie about rising up against a system that seeks to objectify women. But what I didn’t expect was how much this movie made me empathize with people on the far right.

It doesn’t need to be said that this is one of the most polarizing time in our nation’s recent history. But after seeing Bombshell, I am reminded that after Trump eventually leaves office, we will still need to find a way to coexist with the 40% of the country that still loves him. And those people are not Stormtroopers or Nazis or video game villains (despite how they behave at rallies). They are people. People who have DRASTICALLY different values than me, but people who have ups and down, triumphs and tears.

Early in the movie, Margot Robbie’s fictional news writer Kayla Pospisil defends Fox New’s zealous pandering to the far right as “balancing the national conversation.” That was the first time in my life I ever heard a defense of Fox News that I could actually understand philosophically, even if I didn’t agree with it. Charlize Theron’s surreally accurate portrayal of Megyn Kelly (a woman I grew up hating) made me see her as someone who was intelligent, strong, and willing to fight for her beliefs and her fellow woman. I was even moved by John Lithgow’s revolting performance as sexual abuser Roger Ailes, for while I despised his actions, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy every time he derided his own slovenly, half-crippled appearance.

It’s very easy to make an argument against the far right, but it’s tricky to do so without abandoning empathy for them. And that’s why Bombshell is more than one of the best movies I’ve ever seen; it’s also one of the most important.

FINAL GRADE: A+
