“Am I saying that right things” “oh god I’m too quiet! I must start a conversation” “how did I sound?” “I have no idea what they’re talking about.. I should know that topic. They hate me now” “how can they talk so freely?! Without micromanaging everything they say??”
I do find it funny that lesbians are perceived as man-hating but gay men are not perceived as woman-hating, and in fact are often illogically shielded from accusations of misogyny simply by being gay
This is so true that it hurts.
I had a gay housemate, who was your typical dirty, lazy dude and he would use ‘but it’s the same for me’ every time I talked about sexism and misogyny ‘because I’m gay’. He thought that being gay made him somehow special and excused his crappy behaviour, especially toward other LGBTQA+ people and women. He thought he was part of some privileged club that excused him from understanding and empathising with everyone else.
One of the many reasons I don’t include myself in the lgbtqaplus community.
1) If you are the OP of an incorrectly flagged post, DON’T DELETE IT! Only the OP can request an appeal.
2) If you weren’t able to request a content appeal on your posts before the ban, you (as the OP) should be able to request an appeal now.
3) The appeal process is going VERY FAST now and it is VERY LENIENT on what is allowed. (I mean, this art on my sideblog was immediately restored, and uhhhhIdon’t recommend clicking on that if you’re at work.) I’ve requested appeals on about 5 of my posts so far, and I got the approval email for all of them in about two minutes.
4) If you have flagged posts on your blog, some of them are currently “stuck” or out of chronological order on the desktop right popout blog! But you as the owner of the blog may not be able to see this! This is how you get to the popout blog:
On the popout blog, the blog owner / admin will see their posts normally, but your friends visiting the popout blog will see old posts from months/years ago mixed in with more recent posts ( @new-xkit-extension‘s timestamp extension is helpful here). The out of order posts have probably been flagged. (You may not be able to see the flag.) SO!
Ask a friend to look at your desktop right popout blog for the first 10 to 20 posts. Your friend can tell you which posts are out of order or flagged for you to request a content appeal.
5) You may have other flagged posts in addition to the “stuck” ones! This script might help you find other flagged posts on your blog, but it has known bugs and it will not find all of them. As I write this, we currently do not know of a way to find all of your flagged posts on your blog.
6) The best thing to do right now is, if you see an incorrectly flagged post, message the OP to let them know their post was flagged and they can request a content appeal.
7) If you’re an artist or photographer and you think your work isn’t going to be allowed on tumblr anymore, request an appeal anyway! It might be restored!(Seriously, this art on my sideblog was immediately restored, so try an appeal! It works!)
8) If a post is incorrectly flagged, but the OP has deleted their blog, we don’t know if there is a way to appeal the post.
9) Sometimes if you reblog a post that’s flagged you’ll get a notification that it is flagged – contact the OP if so and let them know their post was flagged.
I am writing this post at 3:50AM Eastern Standard Time on 12/17/2018. The information I have listed here may change with time.
(My blog was actually marked explicit this morning and then reinstated. Maybe direct the search toward actual nazis and illegal content and Tumblr will be a place that doesn’t get removed from the freakin app store. This used to be a place people wanted to be and felt save to express themselves. If you lose those people, you lose what makes you viable: earn or die, Tumblr. )
Aries- You posted porn. You did it. Tumblr doesn’t like that any more. Bad, you, having desires.
Taurus- We looked in your likes and had to bleach the fucking computer.
Gemini- Your searches were freaking out the staff and you were labeled explicit for the greater good.
Cancer- Furry images? No? Just your cat? Still explicit.
Leo- You reported yourself to feel included. It’s okay, I won’t tell. Wait…
Virgo- You stood up for someone that was being bullied and that just really irked the Tumblr staff. Enjoy Hell, explicit one.
Libra- Someone was jealous as fuck of your art and reported you like a nasty lil shithead
Scorpio- You’re good, no problems here. Continue browsing. Not explicit at all.
Sagittarius- An innocent picture of a forest with inspirational text actually came from a blog run by a white supremacist
Capricorn- Staff was just having too good of a time selecting explicit content and you got caught up in the fun.
Aquarius- I thought Tumblr said NSFW writing was okay? No. You’re still in trouble.
Pisces- We launched your filth blog into fucking space.
On December 17th, everyone sign out of tumblr and do not log back in until they lift this ban.
Tell everyone you possibly can, make a post of your own, share this and reblog it and spread it like wildfire to save sex workers and nsfw artists.
People make a living here.
These are people’s lives, their money, their careers, their hobbies.
Tumblr is supposed to be a place of creativity and freedom.
If they will not remove this ban & find a more efficient way to remove the actually harmful content (like all the pedophiles) then we will not use this site any longer.

Abundantly Tender Trasher
Wildy Tender Pleader for Mercy
I wouldn’t say that I’m tender but otherwise it’s fitting
And because I’m a huge dork then @probablyticklishguy ‘s name is Unbelievably Tender Master of Squirms. I would personally give him Unbelievably Hysterical Giggler
I am definitely the Tender Master of Squirms! As you may be aware.
One of the reasons I feel so comfortable using Tumblr over other social media is because this site is clearly too incompetent to be evil.
The basic business model of a social network is to harvest commercially valuable personal data and sell it, most famously via targeted ads. Anyone visiting my blog can clearly see that I am a queer furry who’s into video games and art. And yet I am only served ads for funeral homes, Bible story DVDs, and the current president’s reelection campaign (in 2018 for some reason)
Needless to say my click through rate has not been very good
Me: Runs a blog dedicated to dungeons and dragons and anime Tumblr: You know what, you strike me as a sporty type
I’m a social media manager for my day job and Tumblr is literally the only social media platform I can relax on anymore because it’s so incompetent when it comes to exploiting my personal data.
Plus tumblr (even though its going through a rough patch) has a shit ton of content that caters to everyone basically. Things you won’t find on other social media platforms. There are so many different content on here to fit everyone’s personal style or interest(s). There’s practically something for everyone. And if there isn’t, you can make it. Especially art! This is a artistic outlet. It is a better platform than twitter, Instagram, and even Facebook. Here so many people from all over can see your work and love it if its also their interest. Boom instant connection made. Tumblr is also fandom central. Steven universe? We got that. Video games? Yeah we got that too. Movies, yep. Books??? Oh hell yeah we do. Whatever you’re into its gonna be here one way or another.
As for identity, you don’t have to display exactly who you are. You don’t have to share your personal info. Just make make a nickname for yourself, a sona, or whatever and you’re good to go. You basically make a brand new one on here. You can be who you want to be on here. You’re make a brand for yourself on here. Also granted that people can be assholes on here too just like any other place. And can get too extreme over the smallest of things. There’s also people who downright vile and evil on here too. But every website will have that “dark side” to it. Other than that.. It’s really not that bad. And hopefully tumblr will get it’s crap together so it can improve itself. This website as so much potential. It just needs work.
THIS IS MONEY PENIS, REBLOG WITHIN 5 MINUTES AND MONEY WILL COME ALL OVER YOU WITHIN 24 HOURS

I’m American. I live right in the southwest and let me tell you, it’s hell over here right now, but it will become a lot worse if Article 13 is passed.
You’ve probably heard about Article 13, and if you haven’t, go watch this video right now. Whatever you’re doing can wait for sixteen minutes and two seconds, because a second-long vote could destroy everything online.
Whether you’re from Europe or not, this law could affect you, so you should care Article 13 because it is going to destroy the online lives that you have built. No more posting memes, no more remixes, and no more YouTubers from anywhere.
Jacksepticeye will no longer be able to upload.
Markiplier will no longer be able to upload.
MatPat won’t.
Thomas Sanders.
Dan and Phil.
How to Basic.
All of your favorite content creators are at risk of losing their jobs because people want stricter laws on copyright, which will support the larger media companies but kill smaller creators. And because of this, we may lose everything online.
So spread the word! Reblog this, reblog other people’s posts, find petitions, write your own posts! If you’re in Europe, contact your MEP’s and get them to understand how it will affect the people who use the internet.
I prepared myself. I prepared myself for the unholy utterances I was certain would be cast at me, as though they were being cast from hell, and yet I was so, so defenseless for the real thing.
