Feraligatr -  Hermione Granger may be one of the good guys, but she is absolutely ruthless and would need a starter (totodile) that evolves into a creature just as ruthless as she is.

Eevee -  I feel like Hermione would admire Eevee for all it could be, but decide not to evolve it so as to not pigeonhole it into one type.

Meowstic -  I don’t know why but of all the cat inspired Pokémon this one reminds me the most of Hermione’s cat, Crookshanks.

Alakazam - Of course the brightest witch of her age would have one of the smartest Pokémon ever on her team.

Dragonite - There’s literally no explanation for this one except it just gives off the sort of vibe I think Hermione would like.

Celebi -  With Celebi, Hermione won’t need to use a time turner. Also, she would definitely have at least one legendary on her team.

I realize know this team is very heavy on the psychic types, that’s kind of funny considering her aversion to divination.

If it hadn’t been for your best friend gushing for weeks about how excited she was to attend this party, you would have stayed home tonight. Unfortunately, you had promised to go with her and you weren’t going to break your word. So that’s how you ended up sitting alone in the corner booth, watching your friend attempt to schmooze the bartender into giving her a couple of free beers for the two of you. It was when she leaned forward to whisper something flirty in his ear that you noticed the girl behind her who was much less successful at getting one of the bartender’s attention than your friend.

She had long, rose gold colored hair with bangs that hung in loose waves, framing her round face. She was wearing a light pink blouse with a sheer collar and sleeves and a ruffle on the front, high waisted light wash jeans, and pink high top sneakers. In short, she was very cute, and you couldn’t help but stare at her. You even leaned forward over the table so you could continue looking at her after your friend sat back after whispering to the bartender. Whatever she said to him must have worked, because after a few moments she was making her way back to you, beers in hand.

“Look what I scored!” she cheered, sitting across from you and setting the bottles on the table. You were only half paying attention; you were still watching the girl as she finally got the bartender’s attention. “Hello? Earth to Y/N,” your friend said, waving her hand in front of your face.

“Huh? What’d you say?” you said, turning back to face your friend, but still looking out of the corner of your eyes hoping to not lose sight of your mystery girl.

“What are you looking at?” she asked.

“Oh, uh, nothing,” you responded, trying and failing to look nonchalant. Even as you said that, you turned just in time to see the girl carrying what looked liked more drinks than she should carry over towards a group of five or six other girls. You friend followed your line of sight and, upon seeing the girl, let out an obnoxiously loud ‘ooooooh’. You snorted.

“What are you, like, twelve?” you asked.

“I could ask you the same question,” she retorted. “You obviously think that girl is cute if you can’t take your eyes off of her, just go up and start talking to her.” You gave her a look.

“You know I can’t talk to pretty girls! I’ll just end up choking and stuttering and overall just making a fool of myself!” you asserted.

“You’re talking to me just fine, does that mean I’m not a pretty girl?” She pretended to be offended, but you know it was all an act. You rolled your eyes and laughed.

“You’re different, you’ve been my best friend since we were babies. She, on the other hand, is a stranger,” you explained.

“Well, if you talked to her, then she wouldn’t be,” your friend asserted. You groaned. In your mind you knew that your friend was right, that you should just talk to her, but you couldn’t help but panic at the thought of it. What if she thought you were weird? Or ugly? Or just some creep that was bothering her while she was out trying to have a good time with friends? You rested your head in your arms on the table, resigning yourself to your fate of being forever alone. You heard your friend put down her bottle and get up. Maybe she finished it and was getting another one, or went to the bathroom, or found a cute guy to dance with. That would be just your luck. Your friend gets to dance with some cute guy while you sit alone, thinking about holding hands, dancing with, hell even just sitting next to the cute girl. You groaned again in despair.

Suddenly there was a light tap on your shoulder. Your head shot up, and to your amazement, there was the girl standing in front of you, smiling and, was that a blush on her face? Your friend waved from behind her, a mischievous grin on her face. You sat there, mouth open in shock, unable to say anything. Luckily, the girl starting talking first.

“Um, hi. Your friend told me I should come over and say hi to you, and I figured why not take this chance to talk to a pretty girl. I’m Soobin, by the way. What’s your name?”

You woke up on the couch with a stiff neck and pins and needles in your right arm, which had been wedged uncomfortably under your body during your impromptu nap. You groaned, sat up, and stretched out every part of your body. You then checked your phone and saw that it was 10:36 pm - an hour after your boyfriend Chan promised he’d come by your apartment to watch a movie and spend the night. Then it dawned on you that you must have fallen asleep waiting for him to get home. You sighed, it’s not like you could blame him, because he and the rest of Stray Kids had a comeback coming up and had a lot of work to get done for it. Still, the two of you had been planning this movie night for two weeks, and you couldn’t help but be upset that it looked like it wasn’t happening as planned.

Then an idea popped into your head; you hurried around your apartment to gather all of the things you needed, threw them kind of haphazardly in your bag, slipped on your shoes, and ran out the door. You made it to the bus stop just in time to catch the 10:50 bus that let you off just one block away from the JYP Entertainment building. The receptionist recognized you and let you in, so you made your way to the recording studio Chan liked to work in. Sure enough, there he was, tapping away at the different controls and listening to the results through is headphones. You decided to play a little prank on him since you realized he hadn’t noticed you entering the room.

You placed your bag gently on the floor by the door and then slowly walked to the other side of the room until you were right behind Chan’s chair. You paused for a moment, and then suddenly grabbed his shoulders. As expected, he let out a loud scream and jumped out of his chair (and nearly out of his skin). He ripped off his headphones and spun around to face you. You were immediately doubled over in laughter - the expression on his face was priceless.

“Y/N! What - what just happened? What are you doing here?” Chan questioned. It took you a moment to get your laughter under enough control that you could respond, and you had to wipe a few tears away from your face.

“You never came over to my place, so I figured I’d come by here. You never noticed me come in and I just couldn’t pass up the perfect opportunity to scare you,” you managed to get out before another fit of giggles came over you. He rolled his eyes and tried to suppress a smile, but you knew he wasn’t mad at you.

“Never came over? What do you mean, it’s only like nine o’clock. We weren’t gonna meet up until 9:30,” he said.

“Chan, it’s like, quarter after eleven.”

“What? It can’t be!” He took out his phone and checked the time, eyes widening when he saw you were right. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry Y/N! I swear I didn’t mean to blow you off like that,” he exclaimed. You waved your hands dismissively.

“Don’t worry about it, I fell asleep anyway, and only came over here once I woke up,” you explained.

“Still, I feel bad. How about we head back now? It’s not too late for a movie, right? Tomorrow’s my day off so we can stay up as late as we want and sleep in to make up for it,” he suggested. You shrugged in response.

“Nah, it’s okay, I’m already here. Besides, I’ve already planned out a new way for us to spend the night.”

“Oh?” You lead him back towards the door where you left your bag. You crouched down and gently poured everything from your bag on to the carpeted floor. Out came your laptop, two notebooks, three black pen, several colored pens held together with a rubber band, a clear pencil case full of various highlighters and markers, a bag of pretzels, and two water bottles. Chan just stared at you, a look of confusion on his face. You stood back up before explaining, first handing him one of the water bottles. You knew that if he lost track of time that easily then he probably wasn’t paying attention to staying hydrated, either.

“I figured what with your comeback date being so soon and all, you could use as much time as possible to work. And you know I’ve always got a million different story ideas I could work on. So, I figured I’d bring my work here and we could just spend our time together being productive with our respective projects.”

“Are you sure you want to do that? We could do something else, something where I actually pay some attention to you,” Chan said.

“No, no, this is fine. Just being in the same room as you is enough for me,” you said, making him blush.

“Okay, well, if you’re sure. But we’re not staying here all night. I just want to finish this one song and then we’re gonna head back to your place, okay?” You nodded, that seemed like a good idea to you. He leaned in to kiss your forehead before shuffling back to his desk and getting back into producing music.

You took a seat on the floor and spread out all of your writing supplies around you. You then laid out across the floor after decided it would be more comfortable and got to work. Every now and then you would look up and admire your boyfriend hard at work. After the two of you worked like that for while, you looked up to see Chan slumped over the desk, sleeping like a rock. You chuckled, knowing this was inevitable. You got up and quietly packed away your things before going over to your boyfriend. You gently shook his shoulder until he started to get up.

“I think it’s time to head out, Channie. You can sleep at my place,” you said. He opened his mouth to respond but instead yawned. Seeing him yawn made you feel like you had to yawn as well.

“Yeah, I think you’re right,” he said, making you both chuckle. He then followed suit and and cleaned up all of his things. “What time is it?” he asked.

“Uh, 1:21 in the morning,” you responded after checking your phone. “We’re gonna have to walk back, the busses stop running at one.”

“Well, that’s alright. I don’t mind as long as I’m with you,” Chan said. You scrunched your nose at his cheesiness, but he just laughed at your reaction. You made your way out of the building and headed in the direction of your apartment.

“So how’d the song come out?” you asked after a few blocks of walking in silence.

“Well, I was actually kinda stuck on the transition into the second verse for a while before you came to visit and it was so frustrating. Honestly, I think you being there helped me because I’m a lot happier with where it’s at now. It’s almost like you got my creativity flowing again. I have to show it to Jisung and Changbin when I get back to the dorms, I really think they’ll like how it turned out too,” he answered.

“Aw, I guess I’m just your muse,” you joked. He grabbed your hand and pulled you close to him as you walked.

“Yeah, you really are.” He kissed your temple before letting you walk not pressed up next to him, but kept your hand in his.

“Well if I’m your muse then you most definitely are mine, too. I finally figured out wording I don’t hate for the one line of that poem I wrote last month, and I was able to get an outline down for two and a half chapters of a new story I’ve had floating around my head recently. If I had stayed home I know I would have just watched Netflix or something, and instead I got a lot done and I’m super happy about it,” you ranted. Chan laughed.

“So, in a way, me losing track of time and forgetting to come over was a good thing,” he said. You rolled your eyes and laughed with him.

“I mean, I guess it all turned out okay, but you still owe me that movie night,” you insisted.

“And I fully intend to deliver on that,” he promised.

After what seemed like forever, you finally made it back to your apartment and couldn’t wait to get some sleep. After you both put your pajamas on and did everything else you needed to do, you got into your bed. Chan, being the clingy, touchy boyfriend he is, pulled you over so that you were cuddling. You kissed his cheek.

“Good night, Channie.”

“Sweet dreams, my muse.”

Today was many things. It was a Saturday, it was the fourteenth day of the month, but most importantly, it was the day you were having your first date with the one and only Jeon Jungkook. He had first asked you out several months prior, but you initially turned him down. He was a world famous kpop idol after all, and you were just a student with a part time job at a cafe he liked to visit.

That’s where the two of you had met. His visits to the cafe, sometimes alone, sometimes with his bandmates, soon became one of your favorite parts of the day. He was always so sweet, very funny, and just a little bit flirty - all of that coupled with his handsome face had you crushing on him in practically no time at all. Still, you felt like you had to turn him down when he asked you on a date. Why would he want to date a part time barista when he could have any singer, model, or actress he wanted? You assumed you were just some temporary infatuation of his, but he was determined to prove you wrong. He asked you out a second time, and a third, and a fourth. If anyone else was doing this, you would have complained to your boss and had them banned from coming into the cafe anymore by the third time asking. But this was Jungkook, and you wanted more than anything to forget your anxiety about the situation and say yes. It was this fourth time he asked when you threw caution to the wind and accepted. He was ecstatic. The two of you exchanged numbers and had been talking all week, getting to know each other better before your upcoming date.

Jungkook told you he had a special surprise planned for tonight, and you were very excited, but also very nervous. You sat on your bed staring at the closet, unsure of what to wear. If you didn’t know what the date entailed, how on earth were you supposed to choose something appropriate for it? What if you put on heels when he wanted to go for a walk in the park? Or you were wearing a plain on t-shirt and he planned on taking you to a fancy restaurant? You shook your head, if it was anything where you had to dress a certain way, you had to assume Jungkook would have mentioned that much. You finally settled on what you thought was a safe outfit - regular old blue jeans, a simple but nice black shirt, and your favorite pair of red Converse high tops. You quickly changed and then sat out on your front porch steps, waiting for Jungkook. He came to pick you up at 7:00 pm - exactly when he said he was going to. You climbed into the passenger’s seat of his car and flashed him a shy smile. He responded with that cute little bunny grin of his.

“You look really pretty,” he said, making you turn your head to hide your blushing cheeks and squeak out a quiet ‘thank you’. You were a little embarrassed, but turning your head kept you from seeing that he was blushing just as much as you were. He cleared his throat in an attempt to keep an awkward silence from building and started driving down the road again.

“So…” you started off, “how has your day been going?”

“Honestly? Kind of stressful. I had practice all morning into the afternoon, and then I had to make sure everything was ready for tonight. I wanted to make sure everything was perfect, and I may have gotten a little too into it and, well, yelled at Namjoon for something stupid,” he explained. Even though he hadn’t said much, you could see his posture loosen up a little bit, like some weight had been taken off of his shoulders. You felt really bad for laughing, but you couldn’t help it. Not only was Namjoon his hyung, but he was the leader of the group, and the thought of Jungkook being so nervous and stressed out that he would yell at him just seemed so unlikely to you. He looked really confused and a bit hurt, so you rushed to explain yourself.

“I can’t believe you were nervous about this! You’re Jeon Jungkook, you perform on a stage in front of hundreds of thousands of people on a regular basis, and going on a date is what makes you nervous?” you asked incredulously.

“Well, yeah, when that date is with you it does,” he responded softly. You felt touched, and before you could stop yourself you let out an ‘aww’ that made you blush more than you had before. But doing that made Jungkook smile, so your mild embarrassment was worth it.

“If it makes you feel any better, I was probably just as nervous getting ready for tonight, maybe even more so” you confessed.

“Really?”

“Yeah, I even spent like half an hour just staring at my closet trying to figure out what to wear.”

“Well, if it means anything I really like your outfit, so there’s that.” At that moment, Jungkook pulled over to the side of the road next to the trees and turned off the car. He looked at you before speaking. “Well, we’re here,” he said. He sat there, fidgeting his fingers in his lap, making you giggle. You looked out the window and saw a dirt path winding its way through a park, passing by a few trees and leading down to a perpendicular path that ran alongside a river.

“And where exactly is here?” you asked.

“The site of our picnic!” he answered cheerfully. Then he got out of the car and came around to open your door for you. You thanked him while getting out, and he assured you it was nothing as he took out a cooler and blanket that you hadn’t noticed had been sitting in the back seat of the car. The two of you made your way down to the river’s edge and set up the blanket on the corner of grass where the two paths met. As you settled comfortably on the ground he pulled out two bottles of lemonade and two cling wrapped sandwiches.

“I’m not much of a cook, but I wanted to make something. I remember you eating peanut M&Ms on your break a few times, so I know you’re not allergic to peanuts, so I made us peanut butter sandwiches. And you mentioned the other day that there’s a street cart that sells lemonade that you like to stop at on the way home from work, so I brought lemonade to drink. I know it’s really simple, but I hope you like it,” Jungkook explained shyly, his eyes wide with hope and cheeks tinged pink with mild embarassment.

“It’s perfect,” you commented, earning another bunny smile from your date. The two of you ate your simple yet delicious meal in a comfortable silence with the murmuring of the river and the chirping of bugs as your background noise. The awkwardness from the start of your date had mostly faded, and what little bit remained was a good kind of awkwardness that stemmed from your general personalities and not a lack of knowledge of how to behave around each other. When the both of you were done eating you laid down next to each other and looked up at the sky. The two of you began talking about anything and everything - work, your interests, the current state of your lives.

Through the canopy of the trees you could see a quickly darkening sky as the sun set, lit up in spots by the emerging stars and flashing lightning bugs. You were starting to get a little cold, and despite your best efforts to keep it under control Jungkook noticed your shivering. Without a word he gestured for you to go closer to him, which you did. He put his arm around you and you rested your head on his chest. With your new warmth and the calming sound of his steady heartbeat blending in with the nature sounds around you, it was easy for you to start dozing off. Jungkook didn’t seem to mind, as he let you lay like that for a while before deciding it was getting late and the two of you should probably head back home. After groggily getting off of the ground, you helped him pack the picnic stuff back into the car and got into the passenger’s seat. He drove you back to your house and despite your protests that he didn’t have to, he walked you to your front door.

“I had a really good time tonight, I’m glad you finally agreed to go out with me,” Jungkook admitted, sheepishly scratching at the back of his head waiting for your response. You smiled at him.

“I’m really glad I did, too.”

“Can I ask why you said no the first three times?” he said quietly. Your smile faltered and you couldn’t look him in the eye.

“Well, you’re so talented and famous and amazing and I’m, well, I’m just… me.” He grabbed your hand in his and you looked back at his face to see him looking at yours.

“Are you kidding me? You’re so smart and funny and beautiful and just a little bit crazy and I like you so, so much.” He blushed bright red once he realized what he said, but it didn’t matter because you were a matching shade. Before your moment of courage could fade, you leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek.

“Text me, okay? I get to plan our next date,” you said. He just nodded, not fully comprehending what just happened. You opened your front door and gave him a quick wave goodbye, which he returned, before he headed back to his car and you entered your house.

You couldn’t imagine a better first date.
