I went to the JCU Alumni Happy Hour la while ago at Market Garden Brewery where they were serving some pretty delicious looking pizza. Here is a close-up of the Garlic parmigiano!
Freshly picked peppers from Eddy’s Fruit Farm in Chesterland, OH! I stopped by to pick some concord grapes and apples and couldn’t resist snapping a few pictures of all the fresh produce!
Sweet deliciousy goodness, is this place for real? I have never walked out of an Aladdin’s without being completely stuffed as well as totally satisfied. I mean really, hats off to these guys because their food is not only awesome, its really consistent throughout their locations which I’ve noticed can sometimes be a problem with restaurants like this.
My typical order is either the hummus or baba for an appetizer, along with a side of vegetables. If you like hummus and hummus-like things but have never tried baba, get it. Seriously, you’ll thank me later. Want to jazz it up a bit and get crazy? Ask for their special hot sauce. I don’t know what exactly is in this stuff but it’s like crack. I would bath in it if that wouldn’t be super weird… Get it with the hummus too. One word: heaven.
Anyways, after I eat my weight in appetizers I get the vegan chili. It is honestly so good I have strongly considered ordering two servings of it for one sitting (no I totally do NOT have an eating problem! I swear!)
Back when I wasn’t vegan I would get the taza chicken salad. Guys, this dish is legit. Don’t let the word “salad” scare you away, it is seriously so good and super filling.
I don’t think I have ever brought anyone here and had them not be totally impressed with the food and service. In fact, every time my sister comes into town she insists on Aladdin’s. My family will even get a huge take-out order right before they leave to drive back to NY so they can have it when they get home. It’s that good guys.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I promise you will love it. (Ok, so I can’t really PROMISE you’ll love it, but I am pretty sure you’ll at least like it, so go!)
Apple cider sorbet from Mason’s Creamery. I was legitimately speechless when I tried this stuff. The flavor is so powerful and delicious I couldn’t believe it was a sorbet!
I have to confess, I stole this delicious picture from my mom’s Instagram account. This is the potato rosemary pizza she made for my sister’s 23rd birthday. Can you say fancy??
I have never loved a bakery as much as I love Five Points. Actually, let me expand on that: I have never loved anything as much as I love Five Points. I realize that the majority of my reviews are 5/5 stars, but its only because these places have made such an impression on me I feel compelled to shout my praises from the rooftops. Five Points is definitely one of those places.
If you are ever passing through Buffalo, you owe it to yourself to stop in and try some of their incredible bread. Pair that bread with some of their deliciously fresh and decadent cheeses and jams and you’ve got yourself a serious party.
The food isn’t the only thing worth talking about here either. The service is impeccable and the location and decor are on point. You feel at home when you’re sitting on the old wood benches watching the world go by through the huge picture windows. Not to mention, Five Points is doing a lot to better its community, and it certainly deserves my praise for that.
Pro tip: Try the farmhouse and plum cherry jam option. It’s absolutely incredible.
If anyone is currently in London and is wondering what they can do, The Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew is an amazing place to go and they are very environmentally aware!
The cafes all have water stations to refill water bottles and they have signs like this around to remind people how they can be more eco-conscious! They’re are also vegetarian options available too!
It’s relatively cheap to get in and is worth the day out just from how nice it is there!
