Vegan chicken and waffles! I found a Belgium style waffle recipe and doubled the flax seed for the extra fiber. I actually went and bought real maple syrup for this (even though that stuff is soo expensive!) Also, for the vegan chicken nuggets, I got the Kroger brand which are half the price of most of the others and are my favorite. Sadly, I haven’t seen them at my Kroger the last few weeks and I miss them

Aglio e olio with grilled asparagus, red peppers, and onion. Aglio e olio is my go to dish when I want something quick but it’s also so tasty. I end up eating at least three servings every time I make it. Grilled veggies always makes a dish better and asparagus was on sale so I had to buy it! Buying in season really is a big trick to eating great vegan food on a budget

Imho the idea of ‘cruelty free’ products or food shouldn’t mean that nothing died to create it, but rather that anything and anyone involved in the creation process hasn’t been exploited or harmed.
Leather is good actually. Veganism isn’t the end all be all to morality and consumption. The issue isn’t that a chicken died for those nuggets, but that while the chicken was alive, it’s life fucking sucked. Vegan chocolate means little if the cocoa that made it was gathered by child slave labor.
Factory farms, abuses of the people who pick the fruit and vegetables we eat, the focus profit and productivity over all else - that’s the fucking issue here. It’s capitalism folks.
I am sorry I haven’t been posting much lately, admittedly I have been quite busy! I have a surprise, well multiple surprises actually. I quit my job as the manager of my local smoke shop. After spending so much time there I realized that I had hit the ceiling of my potential and there was no longer room for me to grow, and our customer base was becoming less compromised of people in the cannalifestyle and more so people looking for rose pipes and whip its. I have also decided to become vegan! I have been having a lot of fun creating my own recipes and cooking for friends and family. I’m completely surprised at how easy the transition was- and how tasty the meals have been! It feels great knowing that I am not only doing something beneficial for the earth, but also for the animals that inhabit it! Lastly, but probably the most important thing I have to reveal, is that I am pregnant. Yes! Pregnant! If you have been following me since the beginning you are aware that I have a nine year old adopted son, so I am already a mother, but this is the first time I have ever carried a child! I am six months along and we are expecting a little boy. So yes I am sorry I haven’t been keeping a constant flow of content lately, but at least you know why now. I’ll be continuing my posts very soon! I love you guys
