3.5 Years Later

It’s been awhile…

I always return to writing. It feels good. I’d be remiss if I told you I don’t have reservations about how raw and vulnerable I am at times, especially since my body is most of my content, but if I can make literally one person feel not so alone, I have accomplished my mission. In my last post three and a half years ago, I said I’d make a come back soon, and holy shit…I actually did it.

Hey guys so I just wanted to share my all time favorite snack. It’s just pomegranate covered with dark chocolate and I love it. It’s somewhat healthy for you but I wouldn’t advise eating a lot of it at once because I did that and it was way too sweet. But It’s filled with a lot of antioxidants so yeah :-) it’s a really good thing to keep in your bag when you get hungry in between classes and you can’t wait for lunch aka me.

I recently decided to make an effort to drink more water. I bought one of those gallon water bottles to try to drink daily.

I have also come to the realization that I actually drink close to a gallon worth of coffee daily…..

The problem with that is the flavored creamer that goes into it.

I have about ¼ of my bottle of water left. Which is about the same amount of the two xl cups of coffee I had at work.

This isn’t going to be as difficult as I initially thought it would be

Does anyone know what kind of flavoring you could put in coffee that doesn’t have the sugar? I think if I can get myself away from the creamer I would not have to give up coffee as much

Well, I am down 3.6 pounds and 2.5 inches this month! And that is without going to the gym much these past 2 weeks lol.

LOOK! I DID BASIC HUMAN THINGS!!!

So, I went grocery shopping lol. I got a meal plan figured out like a month or so ago and I now had the money to go grocery shopping for said plan.

It doesn’t give you much of a variety. So I want to find a new meal plan. But I am going to at least follow this one and see how it goes. It is only a 5 week plan.

I was also putting off doing it because it doesn’t give you a shopping list and it has a lot of things I’ve never made before. The plan isn’t set up in a way to easily make a shopping list either.

I had to go down each sectin as I passed each food group to make sure I wasn’t missing anything lol

Gym appointment

I have an appointment at 4:45 today after work. I have to have her change my workout. They changed it back in December. I wasn’t following it when they first gave it to me.

It is a full body workout 4 days per week. Here is the problem….I am a weakling. EVERYTHING is sore. Somehow I am suppose to go in today and workout everything again. They are different machines, but still full body.

I liked it better when it was different areas different days. That way I wasn’t too sore to do different workouts. But that is what my first 3 appointments are for. She said we could change it if it wasn’t working.

It has been 10 months since I was last weighed and measured at my gym. It has been 6 months since I quit the gym.

In that time I have managed to lose 9.4 pounds.

I feel pretty good. I’m back at the gym working on myself. I have appointments both tomorrow and monday. I have already drank 30oz of water.

I am going to do it this time. I am making that promise to myself, right now.

I am OFFICIALLY signed back up at my gym!

I have 3 appointments between now and monday. They always set up 3 when you first join to weigh/measure and then set up a workout routine.

I have one tomorrow, one friday, and then one monday.

100 Day Challenge

This is something I had started a separate blog for but I have decided just to do it here instead. The goal is to pick a few things to do consistently to better myself in the span of 100 days.

I have made a list of things that I want to improve about myself ranging from losing weight, to accomplishing my writing goals, to keeping my house clean.

The first two I have picked are the ones I feel are the simplest things to change.

1. Meditation.

2. Drink only water.

Meditation is suppose to help with a lot of things, including managing stress, so that was my first pick.

Water should be another easy one. I recently switched locations for my job. My original location had a good 30 selections of drinks, which included easily 7 different teas. My new location only has one weird tea. I stopped drinking soda a while ago so tea was my only option. Our water was weird at the original location.

I will be adding more probably in October or November starting a separate round. Those will be around working out and eating healthy. I’m starting those later because they are money related lol. I am rejoining my gym in october when I get my first paycheck as a supervisor. I will also have a grocery budget so yay!

It’s been almost a month since my last bike ride and when I feel my legs I can feel the all of the lost muscle.
It’ll be another month until I can start working out and riding again and that frustrates me to no end.
I’m in that stage of recovery where I’m not constantly in pain but I’m still not well enough to do much so I’m just stuck. Stuck mentally wanting to take on the world but physically only able to barely get around my house.
