Pain procrastination.

Spoonies are master procrastinators, but not because of the typical reasons.

Imagine every single time you took a step, you knew that you would sprain your ankle. Suddenly, you’re more than willing to put off doing that extra load of laundry that needs doing, eh?

That’s how it is with chronic illness. We know that doing simple daily tasks is going to bring unspeakable pain. So we put it off. We try to psych ourselves up for doing things, preparing for the pain, but often it’s putting off the inevitable.
