The Bigger The Bow The Better…

I wanted to share with you a little, or not so little, fascinator I made to finish off my pink and green number… A bit of sinamay and a piece of ribbon can go a long way in the bow business and with the selection of colours you can find, I think it’s a gorgeously cheeky option without trading all your magic beans…

The Tightrope Girl- Inspired by the infamous concept and painting by artist Marc Davis , this haunting “stretching portrait” depicts the classic carnival lore of the tightrope walker, unaware of her doom below. Fully photographic image, modeled by Dita Von Teese.

Some of you may also know this painting from the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland.

Art & photography by Franz Szony

This Friday’s Featured Friend is lps #354! A pink cockatoo with a lime green belly/chest, orange feet and beak, blue Hungriest Pets motif eyes, and a darker pink plume on the top of their head!

She was released in 2008 in both the Jungle Hangout 3-pack scenery, and in a megapack with 19 other pets!

Thoughts: She has such a kind little face… I bet she smells like lime zest and mint plants! Probably not mint plants from her own garden, because I don’t get the feeling she’d have a green thumb herself, but from a friend’s garden that she likes to help out in!! She probably makes very thoughtful friendship bracelets for her loved ones, too. Her name eludes me. Perhaps Tiffany? But her friends call her Tiffy.
