SELF CARE TAROT READING
I came across this lovely tarot spread created by @eclectic-earth and had to give it a go - especially as i was feeling down at the time
Card one: my problem
card i pulled : nine of wands
wisdom, perseverance and last stretch
- im not persevung through the last few obstacles i’m hitting to reach my goals
- i’m not preparing and protecting myself
- i keep doubting myself and not believing or trusting in my strength, powers and lessons i’ve learnt
Card two: what to do now
card i pulled: the emperor
authority, ambition and power
- create proper structure and stability for myself in my life
- learn to control and understand my emotions
- develop more self discipline
- carry out plans in a systematically and controlled way
Card three: what to do later
card i pulled: three of wands
persistence, anticipation and progression
- look at the bigger picture to anticipate all opportunities that are available for me
- prepare for good and bad news in the upcoming future
- allow myself to follow my unique curiosity’s and travel
Card four: what do i need to hear
the card i pulled: knight of pentacles
harvest, dedication and routine
- slow and steady wins the race
- stop rushing thing
- stop rushing INTO things
- make a routine that encompasses doing little bits everyday
- decide what i want in life and take it
- stay true to my vision to see results

PROTECTION FOR YOUR HOME “WASH”
a small mix to protect your home from negative energy, sickness and other harm
WHAT YOU NEED:
- rain water: cleansing, protection, purification
- full harvest moon water: purification, blessing, cleansing
- rosemary (dried and oil): protection, luck, purify, cleanse, remove worries, repel thieves
- ‘on guard’ oil mix: promote health, heal sickness, protection
- frankensense oil: purification, luck, protection
- basil: protection, wealth
- bay: protection, luck, wishes
- egg shell: protection
- sage (i used fresh leaves): protection, purification, cleansing
- black pepper: protection
- oak leaves: banishing, protection
- salt and pink salt: protection, banishing, removing negative energy, love
WHAT TO DO:
- mix all the ingridents into a bowl and find a clean wash cloth
- soak the washcloth in it (don’t worry if some the herbs get on it)
- wipe down all your doors or windows that lead into your house focusing on the intent of protecting you, your family and the house itself
BEAUTY POTION
a potion to make you look and feel your best: dedicated to aphrodite
WHAT YOU NEED:
- cucumber: beauty, healing, youth, aphrodite
- almond milk: beauty, luck, universal love
- cinnamon: healing, protection, love, lust, aphrodite
- avocado: beauty, luck, attraction, lust
- rosemary: love, protection, aphrodite
- a cauldron or pan to boil the liquid
- a jar to hold the liquid
WHAT TO DO:
- Pour two cups of almond milk into the pan and put it on a medium heat
- cut the cucumber (i did about half)
- cut the acacado and mash it up to be as smooth as you can
- put the cucumber, acacado (including the stone), a few pinches of cinnamon and some rosemary into the pan
- keep stiring in a clockwise motion and bring to a simmer, changing the temperature if needed
- pour your intention intention into it and say some affirmations that represent what you want to achieve. pray to aphrodite (or your chosen deity if you work with one) as well.
- once the milk has turned a light green and you think it’s ready take it off the heat
- filter the potion so you just have the liquid and put it in the container
You can use this as a body wash or put it on your face and leave it on and then wash it off. I used it to shave. Make sure you’re not allergic to it first .

Sharing my Venus altar As an Venus/Aphrodite devotee, I love rearranging and refreshing my altar, as life changes, it houses my rose quartz collection and I always love adding fresh flowers to honour the Goddess. My altar brings a beautiful loving healing energy into my sacred space. I picked some foxglove from my lovely foxglove plant in my garden ❤️

MY LAZY WITCH CONFESSIONS
Being a practicing witch is no easy pursuit. From monthly full moon rituals, spells, and loads of inner work to create a better manifested life takes an endless amount of time. And sometimes life is messy, gets in the way, or damnit you just need to take a break from all of it. So sometimes I’m a lazy witch. (shrugs) Not that I can’t be bothered with proper ingredients of a spell, but just because sometimes it is so complicated I just need to move on.
(Quick note, no-lazy witchcraft is not really a thing, mostly this post is just for fun.)
1 I don’t always charge my crystals
In my defense my crystal collection has grown over the years and I don’t like to drag them all outside and let the full moon do it’s thing. I have done it. And yes I did get weird looks from my neighbors who were all watching me drag tons of Pyrex dishes outside with crystals on them.
2 Full moon rituals are a maybe
I love a full moon ritual bath. It’s cleansing and relaxing and I can decompress from the past month while preparing myself for the month ahead. Does that always happen? No. Usually if it doesn’t it’s because something got in the way like massive loads of laundry or some other mom-type crises that can’t be avoided. (Where are my other witchy moms at?)
3 Tarot readings on the fly
I LOVE getting out all the things to do a tarot reading. Candles, crystals, Hand Of Glory (kidding!) but for real getting prepped, it makes a big difference in how my connection is and ultimately how my reading goes. No matter how much I love this, most of the time my readings are done on the fly at my desk when I’m getting pissed off at someone.
4 I don’t have a Book Of Shadows or Spellbook
I used to keep a better record, used to being the commemorative word here. After some time IDK what happened by my leather bound journals became Dollar Tree notebooks and then nothing at all. I should write everything down before I die, I know this but will I, IDK.
5 Sabbath celebrations are a nope
I used to do these too but with Halloween and Christmas celebrations with the fam I don’t have any time to add an additional Sabbath so I flicked it off the calendar and never looked back. (Sorry ancestors)
6 My witchy at home aesthetic pajamas
I’m completely jealous of the witches who have their look down with the black robes and completely decorated spaces to celebrate and work their magic in. I’m in the kitchen next to stacks of papers and a doggie chew toy.
7 Substitutions are a hit or miss
Spell substitutions, we all do it, the question is do they work? Sometimes they do, and sometimes the spell goes wonky. I’m just as guilty of subbing out things as the next witch but I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do!
8 Kitchen witch means making Uncrustables
Cooking is the bane of my existence. I used to love it. But after making dinner for 4 millionth time in a row I can never make a meal again. So if I have to have an edible item in my spell you best believe it’s a frozen waffle or something on that same line.
9 Cleansing before spells is just wiping Cheeto dust off my fingers
It just takes too long. There I said it. I try to meditate to make sure my mind is clear, and I swear I used to have this ‘witchy soap’ I would make for pre-ritual washing but I haven’t come across that recipe in years so here we are.
10 My ‘circles’ are all imaginary
I’ve seen all the fancy circles laid out with crystals, flowers and candles and I LOVE them. But am I doing them at home? Nope. Mostly I’m just imagining a fiery white light around me because that’s all the time I’ve got.

this jar was made for use in your home or on your person but it’s super versatile !!
what you’ll need;
nutmeg
salt
crushed eggshell
red chili flakes
chili powder
nutmeg
just layer your jar up and make sure to keep your intentions in mind the whole time, i think this one’s pretty self explanatory <3 we’ve got nutmeg for grounding the spell and adding security to the area the jars in/person it’s on. salt, obvious reasons! eggshell for home protection, astral protection, protection protection, lol. all the chili is essentially for spooking things off, letting everything know this little jar means business, great at returning things that were headed your way. then some more nutmeg to top it off!

i don’t think you understand, When We Were Magic by Sarah Gailey is about a girl gang of teen witches (diverse when it comes to skin color, religion, sexuality and backgrounds btw) involved in the magic murder of a guy at prom - this is all in the first pages and I’d love for you to know he died because his d*ck exploded - and i just wish more people knew about it and read it /even though it’s fairly new/ so we can make a fandom and have discussions and draw fan art and write fanfics and stuff

Let’s be real here. Those of us who are on the moons side don’t really have a reason to worry. These moon deities are not dumb, if they’re going to retaliate it’s going to be extremely targeted, not a broad hit at the entirety of witchcraft. Unless you were one of the idiots who actually thought they would hex some of the most powerful forces in magic, you don’t have a reason to be afraid. Just show your deities that you’re here to support them and offer help when asked. They don’t need your protection and they honestly don’t really need help. Extend your support to them as much as you want and show them you’re on their side, but I promise you these baby witches haven’t made a dent on these forces in an attempt to try to hurt them. If anything they just hexed a giant mirror and got it thrown back at them.
