- Even in the presence of the Cullen Jacob felt the longing

- He never missed a single thought Jacob had about him
- Sending him little smirks and winks when no one was looking
- The star crossed lovers seemed to be able to keep their relationship a secret from everyone else
- Jacob would frequently have dreams of the vampire
- Both of them sitting at La Push beach
- Edward’s lips grazing against his before he’d pull him in for a real kiss
- Both sides getting along as though they weren’t sworn enemies since the dawn of time
- It took a long time for either of the boys to do anything about the flirting
- Edward certainly couldn’t go anywhere near the reservation
- But on the other hand Jacob couldn’t exactly go away for a while to come back smelling of something his friends hunted
- The first time their eyes interlocked Jacob felt it
- The pull he’d longed for
- His world finally shifting
