You thought I’d watch three Starkid musicals and stop, well you clearly were wrong: I’ve watched “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals” and the first thing I thought was: that’s basically my father. He doesn’t even like musical movies with some rare exceptions (mostly Soviet). So, yes – I’m very familiar with such character. By the way, unlike the “Harry Potter” series it’s finally a good musical experience – I unironically enjoyed the songs and dance numbers. Oh my god, “Show Stopping Number” was so good! The plot was also very interesting and pretty original (I mean, it’s not based on anything, but some horror clichés – but it’s a comedy, after all). (That can be a Spoiler!) The idea of musical theatre Borg is so funny – a collective mind communicating through music and which still sometimes fails to perform in harmony… I’m very sure I failed to recognize all the theatre references: I have watched neither “Godspell”, nor “Brigadoon” (I heard about both of them though), fortunately, I have watched “Moana” and enjoyed it (and yes, it’s funny that Paul knows the lyrics by heart). I’m not sure if it was intended, but I received strong as hell “Jekyll and Hyde” vibes during “Let It Out” – when he was singing and dancing against his will, he was afraid of it and fought it as much as he could, he even fell struggling. (Definitely Spoilers!) The ending was also very funny and unexpected, I thought that they might end it unhappily, but that they’ll make us believe that the ending is as happy as it can be and then throw the horror in our faces… I didn’t think you’re capable of it, “Team Starkid Production”. P.S. Going to finally get a watch (I have some, I even have pocket-watch, but none of them work), because: “Time is a precious thread in the fabric of the universe; it deserves its own tool of measurement!”

This one from a little while ago isn’t as obvious and could possibly just be a reference to Matt Dahan’s project Mariah has said in a zoom with some fans that she can’t imagine Melissa with brown hair (this feels like more of a stretch tho)
Mariah tweeted this completely out of context and my evil Webby loving brain can’t help but think it could be a reference to her (post about evil Webby here)

I think Casey might be on of Miss Holloway’s three girls…
Okay so on one of her streams recently Mariah said this (I’ve edited out the game dialogue bits in-between)
And it got me thinking…
We’ve all pretty much guessed for a year that the 80s pop star on Casey’s shirt was Miss Holloway but NMT2 all but confirmed it… “the whole world has FORGOTTEN”. The pop star is one of Miss Holloway’s old personas!!!!
I (and I’m sure everyone) just assumed this was an “oh it’s been a while since the 80s lost to time” sort of thing BUT NO!! THEY’VE ACTUALLY FORGOTTEN HER. So we have such a clear connection between Miss Holloway and Casey already and then I kept thinking about what Mariah said.
Casey is dead right?? She got buried by the Hatchet Men meaning she had the gift and she was killed for it. That sure as hell sounds like someone who Miss Holloway couldn’t save right?? And to add onto this Mariah played one of the girls in the 3-girl creature!! Add that to the fact that Casey was the only tree-person named and that Nick is discussing her character with Mariah (he wouldn’t do that for a one-off background character) I think it’s very likely we’re gonna be seeing Miss Casey again and it’s gonna be HEARTBREAKING

Have you ever had a musical touch you in a way that you spend days thinking about it? That is Starry for me. Kelly Lynne D'Angelo and Matt Dahan have so brilliantly captured the story of Theo and Vincent van Gogh in a way that makes you laugh, think and cry. The heartbreaking vocals of Dylan Saunders during The Starry Night are stunning, Mariah Rose Faith does an excellent job of showcasing her vocals during Enlightenment and listening to Joe Viba sing The Red Vineyard made me cry. The whole entire cast is honestly amazing and every song truly captures and embodies the feelings of each character. You will not regret buying and listening to this album.
i have some Thoughts on webby being referred to as a “queen in white”
queen is a higher title than lord, implying that she’s older than her brothers, even though the web i spin for you (which seemed to be about her being betrayed by a mentor figure, presumably older than her) very heavily features the five dolls, implying she’s singing about them.
however. back around s1, i had a theory that the character that betrayed webby was a father of some sort (mainly based on the line “daddy’s gonna get you” from the theme song). while, notably, there is an episode called daddy, fatherhood also seems to be a general theme in the hatchetfield series. the metzger boys all refer to bob as “daddy”, and we have two major characters, bill and tom, who are both fathers on questionable terms with their children.
and in killer track, the black book is stated to contain an image of a family tree of eldritch monsters. wouldn’t be much of a tree if there were just the six siblings, would it?
i sorta gave up on that theory a while ago, but i think it may still have some ground here.
as for why webby is referred to as a queen: maybe their parents died, leaving her as the technical ruler of the black and white, but her brothers outnumbered her and they all sided with wiggly. or maybe their parents are still alive, but the black and white is divided into two and webby is the first (or maybe only) inhabitant of the latter (remember, it’s referred to as the black and white, but wiggly’s domain is a pitch black void) (then again, her being the ruler of the other half of this void by process of elimination could still mean she’s younger). or maybe the brothers lang just thought it sounded cool and none of this means anything idk
So really all I got from Nightmare Time 2 is that an interaction between Alice, Deb, Ethan, Lex, Ziggs, and Rose is something that is not only entirely plausible but should absolutely happen
