#pjo adaptation

LIVE

zarans:

the adam project taught us that walker scobell can do daddy issues AND sarcasm well, so percy jackson is gonna be a breeze

God nerfed us twenty somethings (and late teens) by not giving us a live percy jackson adaptation when we were growing up because he knew we’d be too powerful/too annoying if that had happened.

Oh I’m sorry, I mean.The gods*

Idk who’s out here saying walker doesn’t look like percy he’s literally got the half smirk up to some trouble thing down already.

Look at him!!! Also, he’s a literal child so if you’re gonna be weird, go away.

Leah’s comment on tiktok is golden. that kid really knows how to talk to racist bullies but like she shouldn’t have to? She’s TWELVE. And she’s playing a huge role in a very well loved kids series. No part of her experience should involve the annoying buzz of internet bs. She’s a child and she shouldn’t have to come up with creative ways to respond to cowards on the internet but you just know that this is gonna be a recurring problem because some folks can’t fathom not being a prick. These people are grown ass adults and they’re bullying children? Embarrassing as fuck. Get a life

People still making “percy is so dumb haha” jokes are severely unfunny. Smart isn’t a one size fits all label :/

I’m very unsettled by the fact that unless the race is specifically mentioned, a lot of people tend to assume that the character is white. There is so much wrong with that.

Fall out boy needs to be like, the official soundtrack of the show. Yes, I want a bunch of 2000s artists but mainly, I NEED fall out boy to be there :)

papa-m0thman:

I don’t understand the desperation to make the show’s version of Annabeth blonde when it wouldn’t make sense. Like, the “dumb blonde” trope only applies to white people with naturally blonde hair. In my opinion, her being black fits the point Riordan was trying to make about Annabeth being underestimated due to her appearance just as well, and more fitting for the time period we’re in. Like, I have never heard someone bring up the dumb blonde trope in 2022, but black girls are still seen as less intelligent than their white counterparts.

Also, the gray eyes are unnecessary because it never really made sense for Athena to affect her appearance when the gods have no DNA.

One main question I have is if the show will be set in the 2000s?

I want to apologize in advance for the person I’m going to be when the first episode of the PJO adaptation comes out.

“If you’re reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Believe whatever lie your mom and dad told you about your birth, and try to lead a normal life.

Being a half-blood is dangerous. It’s scary. Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful nasty ways.

If you’re a normal kid, reading this because you think it’s fiction, great. Read on. I envy you for being able to believe none of this ever happened.

But if you recognize yourself in these pages-if you feel something stirring inside- stop reading immediately. You might be one of us. And once you know that, it’s only a matter of time before THEY sense it too, and they’ll come for you.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Im going to die when I hear this words on the new adaptation
