#social media
What socmed application make you feel at peace and free???
What is satisfying about social media is the ability to constantly recreate ourselves. We can change the images in our profile, cultivate a certain persona, have it adjust with trends, we can curate who we are and our hobbies, and then redo/undo it almost just as immediately.
Do you ever catch yourself looking at your profile, something you’ve written, perhaps even your reflection, imagining you were looking through the eyes of someone else? Perhaps a particular person, thinking, “what do they see…of me?” When the underlying question we are really asking is “what do I want them to see of me?”
Social media also lets us do that, and it’s so brief and perhaps unconscious, but we look at ourselves at a distance, and get away with indulging in a kind of agency of creation that normally only artists get to do. How nice it is to see who I’ve created of myself so immediately, rather than waiting seventy years to live the life I’ve lived to see who I really am.
Twitter User: I wish I had more followers, then I’d be more likely to get verified.
Facebook User: I wish my posts reached further, then I’d get famous.
Instagram User: I wish I had more followers so I can unlock more basic features for my account.
TikTok User: I wish I had more views then I’d be a real influencer.
Tumbler User: I specifically didn’t tag this so no one would find it why does it have 200k notes? Who the hell are these people following me? All of you need to go away so I can go back to posting incomprehensible garbage and pictures of frogs.
Self-fulfilling prophecy
Oh no
Help
Here’s a picture of a blue poison dart frog.
WHY!?
Okay, lots of folks asking “INSTAGRAM DOES THAT!?”
And yes, it does:
Nice.

Pain.
With the power of spite we can get this post to 200k specifically like OP wanted.
vedo svariata gente con millemila note sui post e poi la metà sono i loro stessi reblog, sarà che sbaglio io totalmente nel gestire un social come tumblr?

Build It Better: Essentials…
Hey everyone,
I’m getting tired of dealing with the current platforms offered by facebook, google, twitter, etc. Facebook especially has gotten terrible in terms of navigation.
The quality of things in general just seems to be taking such a dive lately.
Plus, they are starting to cross the line when it comes to copyright. Youtube now lets you straight up download people’s videos or place advertisements without even paying the creators. It’s insanity!
Anyway, I’m planning on moving everything to my own server and having my own place to share content with you all.
I realize it’s fun to have a place to like or comment on things, or see how many views something is getting but the price to pay for that little bit of social buzz has gotten to steep for me. All I want is a place you can quickly get access to A9 content. My server can handle the little bit of bandwidth needed for the size of our community. And if it grows, I’ll just get a bigger server.
My hope is to be done with this transition by end of 2021. So expect to see some of A9’s existing social media pages turning into ghost towns. And expect to see www.A9rig.com turn into a colorful little hub of content that will be easy to navigate (what a concept!).
It’s time to take back control over our content! Farewell social media giants. You got rich off of content creators like myself and instead of reciprocating you got more evil and more greedy. I’m done.
